It sounds good, makes a variety of quality sounds and it looks good too. But nothing sounds as good at home as you hear it via a miced good quality (like yours) cabinet. Aren't things getting a bit too complicated with all those buttons? Ok i'm a minimalist by nature but imagine all possible combinations you can have, practically dozens. Anyway it sounds best with the Squire imo, but the pickups sound very tame. Do you mind reminding what pickups is loaded with? Thanks again for a very thoroughly thought out vid.
It's not overwhelming at all. It's just a matter of understanding the builder's philosophy behind this design. He was aiming for high headroom/least amount of compression possible. The controls allow you to dial in the right amount of compression, or no compression at all, to fit with your rig. A few minutes of tweaking and it all makes sense. ;)
