Vacheron Constantin also makes the most beautiful skeletonized models. And the 222 is one of my personal favorites. ☺

The 222 Historiques, in yellow gold it’s just perfection, slim case, bracelet design, and the open case, they’re the perfect complement to a piece of that level!

Marco is sooo well thought here. It’s actually quite surprising that VC always has been the dealers fave but don’t buy. I really like it that they now seem get the recognition that they tend to deserve. Lot due to the succes of the overseas and the 222 re edition. But there is more. The americaine is getting traction within the collector community. Imho VC should re focus on chronometer precision with the chronometer royale and their guilloche dials. Their metier art department is just something else. And back on topic make again a real nice chronograph with a super cool satinated side case like they did in the old days. And decrease their high comps to at least 39mm

VC, unlike Patek, hasn't really attempted to chase that AP money with an overemphasis on a Royal Oakesque watch. It sold me.

Curious to see what you guys think of ressence watches? It's a very interesting design but for me the price tag is out of this world

Patek and AP and Rolex are basically One Watch Case Design companies. For Patek, it is the GG Nautilus. Inl personally find the Nautilus case and dial hideous and even though I can afford to buy a few at non RRP, I will never ever buy one. In terms of the AP, they also have nothing to show for except the RO, also a GG design. The RO design is way too rough around the edges for me and I am sick of the screws on the bezel look. It just appears to me that people hype over PP and AP due to the GG factor. Nothing else. As for Rolex, it is a mass produced machine milled piece of crap with a superb marketing and ambassador strategy. Everything that Rolex sells, looks the same to me. Mundane case and dials with seasonal colours to pamper the dumb, blind and tasteless. And finally, we have Vacheron. They don't need a trademark watch like the RO or the Nautilus. They have the best dress watches under their Patrimony range. Their Overseas sports range is also awesome plus their Historiques collection ranging from the relaunched 222 and the American as well as their Harmony Single Pusher Chronograph, are all unique and exquisite pieces that a normal Rolex and AP collector wouldn't have the class or the balls to buy one. Why? Because every idiot that buys a Rolex and AP and PP wants to trade it off and make speculative gains from it. So sad. The irony of telling ppl how much u adore a Rolex Sub or a PP Nautilus and then u bloody trade it off the next day for more money. Utter nonsense.

VC is and always was better than AP. It's honestly a bit maddening AP gets the most hype and press in the Big 3 when they're EASILY the worst of the 3 and arguably don't even deserve the spot anymore.
