That beautiful little cabin was waiting a long time for someone like you to come along and bring her back to life. Well done. Canada needs another 1,000 just like you!
I know you have been to rocky lake cabin. It looked much the same back in the 80s. I took the initiative to start cleaning and hauled out 10 large bags of trash. After that it was always kept up. Bit over used now but still amazing.
You are a true outdoorsman Noah and well done cleaning up the garbage from the cabin I will never understand why people leave their garbage Just laziness Great have people like you who really understand the importance of taking care of Our wilderness. Dont stop doin this John
Noah, You are a HERO! Folks like you are scarce, but you make an impact, A GOOD ONE! I will probably never get up there but thanks for cleaning that cabin up so others can continue to use it.
LOL on the bong! 😂 Nice job on thd clean-up. It's an awesome cabin on a sweet little bath tub...er...lake. 👍😎🇨🇦🔥 I'll have to catch up on your videos...hello from Alberta .
While Noah, What a jackpot! If only squatter's rights prevailed for the right reasons. It goes without saying really, it is too beautiful to say nothing. Looks to me like a therapy hotel! Awesome…
Good Noah it’s a beautiful cabin if everyone that stay there they care for it, ❤🎉very nice location it’s a matter of care GOD bless watching from Australia
We are lucky to have backcountry cabins in Nova Scotia and they need looking after! So nice to see the example of how they should be maintained and treated with respect!
Some heros wear caps , others wear a baseball hat and paddle canoes. Well done my friend ,keeping this old cabin safe and sound for others as well as yourself one day when you need it. Be safe ,love you channel. BTW I’m 77 this year so I know a good person when I see one.
Well done Noah😊 You're a great example for all those who wish to venture out into the backcountry ❤ Can't wait for the next big video of your recent adventure with your girlfriend!
Man, that's a fabulous place. I would so try to buy that parcel if it was available lol. I can't believe it had a sweet little wood stove too. The bunk looked nice and spacious and you have plenty of table space. And with a pretty lake! You can't beat that! I would never leave there!
Wow just watched both your recent videos. What a contrast between the 2 cabins. 1 on the coast with sweeping views, and the other tucked away in the scenic woods.
You had that place looking great after a little bit of cleanup! I look forward to watching you continue to utilize that cabin in future videos! Keep those back country gems alive and well!
Noah you are such a good person. I bet your friend who owns the cabin is happy your there taking care of over seeing things. Thank you for showing us how things should be done. It's called Respect.
I never clicked so fast! Lol The better half and I have been binge watching your videos since we found you a few weeks ago💌 Have watched every video, and was a bit sad we ran out, lol... I must say, we knew nothing about canoeing before watching... we could count on one hand how many times we've been on one. Thank you for all of the knowledge and amazing video you've out out💝 Perhaps a canoeing trip is in the near future😉 After some lessons of course🤣
Really enjoy this kind of video. Here in indonesia you can't go for canoe trip like that and there's not much public cabin so watching your video about relaxing canoe trip like that for just 1-2 night and taking care of the cabin is so peacefull. Thank you guys 🙌👋 Ps : Really hope to do some project for that cabin, looks like got more potential for the winter trip later
Great job, always leaving stuff better than when you got there. Hope to see a follow up video of your next visit, I am betting that you will be bringing material to make a permanent door. :)
Great job cleaning up that cabin.. hope to see more of it.. If I could still Paddle i would go help with the upkeep.. bring a log book back the next time :) When I was younger and my sons were teens we found quite a few cabins like that thru out Nova Scotia.. I know at least 2 that are still being taken care of. Oh and our summer showed up in October LOL
I'd love to see you crowdfund the total rehabilitation of a derelict back country cabin. Create a canoe posse, everyone hauls in new wood and materials, everyone spends a week redoing the foundation and roof, bringing new forestry tools to leave there, really making it a destination. Not only do I think it would be lots of fun for all of you, I think it would make a fantastic video, or even a series of videos. Or you could even find a location with no cabin and build one from scratch. Something like that would be pure magic.
It is always fun finding a treasure of a cabin. Good on you for taking time to make it livable once again. You always keep the site your are on in great shape. keep on bringing on the adventures
Always enjoy watching your videos. The cabin looks to be in fairly good condition considering it isn't hardly use. Can't believe what recreational tool was in the cabin! Hahaha! As always, loved the video and keep up the good work.
I think you need to come back and do some more work on the cabin....put a door on it and perhaps a tarp on the roof on case it leaks....Get the cabin prepared for winter and then shoot another video.
Thank you for that lovely video. It’s so much shorter than many of your videos, but it’s still a great story. Thank you also for what you did to clean up the cabin. I’ll never get there but I know that those who do will appreciate your efforts. Oh, and glad to see you trying to limit your exposure to dust (hantavirus?) when you swept out the rodent droppings, etc. Who’d think that you’d need to bring an N95 mask on a short trip into the wilderness.
What’s beautiful fall setting…it always takes your breath away…I’m from BC….the first time I went east by train was fall for Toronto university…..the different wilderness scenes was resplendent…
Great clean-up job! What a nice find. I'm a bit concerned about that blue tarp. I've seen too many blue tarps disintegrating into bits of plastic everywhere. So generous of you to clean the cabin and chop wood.
I lovvve Nova Scotia. Lived on Cape Breton Island and just off it for 7 yrs. I would move back to THAT cabin if I could buy it!! Whereabouts in NS is this? Lovvve the fall there🙂
What a great spot, made even better by a bit of a sweep up! You probably should have had a hazmat suit on with all that mouse mess! It looks great now. Hopefully, whoever uses it next will keep it tidy.
