Discovering Baleal Beach in the Peniche region 

Baleal is located north of Peniche, in the western region of Portugal, separated from the mainland by a tombolo, forming a beach of fine white sand.
Praia do Baleal is an extensive sandy beach bathed by calm waters, where windsurfing is practiced, it is located 103 km from Lisbon and 260 km from Porto.
Baleal beach (which means whale), located north of Peniche, stretches between two seas as if it were an island. To the south is Praia da Consolação, with its excellent conditions for surfing.
Baleal is named after whale fishing in the past.
