I went to the Art Gallery of Ontario in Toronto, Canada with the mission of finding art by Canadian artists depicting Canadian subject matter - and got exactly what I was looking for!
Did you visit the National Art Gallery the last time you guys were in KL? Petronas also has its own art gallery but it shifted from Suria KLCC to a new location. About a decade ago, there was an area at the lobby of the old train station for the local artists to exhibit their paintings. I haven't been to many of the art galleries in Malaysia or elsewhere, but so far, my favorite is the art exhibit and giant paintings at Prado Museum in Madrid, Spain.
No we never made it to the art gallery in KL unfortunately, I'm sure it would have been awesome. I've heard of that art gallery in Madrid- is it the one with the Maman sculpture outside (the big spider)? Or is that somewhere else in Spain?
@@onceuponaglobe Perhaps, whenever you guys are back in KL, you can include a visit to an art gallery in your itinerary. Sorry, I couldn't remember the sculpture that is in front of the Prado museum. 😀
