I'm supprised you didn't go into the theory of Dragon being a former Admiral. Being Garps son it would be quite reasonable that he was trained to become a marine, as Garp tried to do with Luffy and Ace. Him learning the WG secrets and wanting to stop them through revolution would explain his title as "Worlds worst/dangerous criminal". All of this would IMO support the wind logia or weather paramecia (kinda like Storm from X-men(Whitebeard was a paramecia so they can indeed be quite powerfull)). BUT since all other admirals are logia i would lean that way. Adding to that, while maybe a longshot, the admirals all seem to have powers that constitutes the creation of our world. Magma created the land, Ice shaped it, light quite obvious, gravity is a natural force needed for the creation of our planet and Green Bull is hinted to maybe be some kind of plant/vegetation logia (his name and also him not needing to eat for years suggests that he might rely on photosynthesis) thus giving the ability for life above sea. Wind fits in this as it kind of creates our climate and thus weather. This might be far fetched but in my mind it makes sense.

I like the theory of Monkey D. Dragon having the Thunderbird mythical zoan devil fruit, because of its weather abilities and how it ties in with Dragon's aesthetic design especially with the Native American tribal tattoos. #OnePiece

The two best theories: -Wind-Wind Logia (awakened could explain the manipulation of lightning and storms) -Mythical Zoan model Thunderbird (explains his tattoo) A weather paramecia is possible. Think of Toki (Oden's wife) she has the Time-Time fruit which is a super rare unique ability that allows her to use the property of Time to skip into the future. Devil fruits are natural physical objects that are based on the real properties of the world and universe within and/or around it. A weather paramecia could very much exist.

Narratively Dragon being linked to inexplicable storms works perfectly well whether he is a devil fruit user or not. More than any other character in the series, Dragon embodies the idea of the coming storm, the act and event that will topple the very foundations of the world of One Piece. Tiamat was a Sea Serpent Goddess of storms, that is now labeled as a Dragon, from Mesopotamian mythology. If he wasn't a Wind Logia user, I think that would be the most fitting Mythical creature he could be related to.

Dragon is a myhtical ZOAN model Quetzalcoatl en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Quetzalcoatl - Quetzalcoatl is the wind god of the aztecs who influences hurricanes and such - Quetzalcoatl is always depicted in green color -Quetzalcoatl is also depicted as a serpent/dragon form - Dragon has the aztec markings on his face making it a more plausible connection.

I figure he's paramecia, either with the ability to control wind or weather as a whole and not turning into wind/a creature who has control over wind and it's thematically fitting for someone who's supposedly the most dangerous criminal in the world and the whole dragon motif. saying paramecia is unlikely because they tend to focus on the users body is silly when the paramecia really is the category of "not zoan/logia". like, both soul fruits are paramecia and one of them lets you manipulate other peoples souls. the shadow fruit is a paramecia and I wouldn't say that's as localaized as you imply paramcias tend to be either. so yeah, probably a paramecia that gives him control of either the wind or weather phenomena but probably doesn't let him decide where stuff like lightning strikes. I read somewhere once that he possibly had a fruit related to a native american thunderbird. His face tattoos are very similar to native tribal type designs, and thunderbirds basically have all the powers and such he has.

Dragon is one of my favorite characters. I just love how stoic and serious he is, his design and how mysterious he is. Even even tho the mystery is part of what makes him cool and intriguing, I can't wait to find out more about him.

The theory ive seen that i think best fits goes back to Roger vs Shiki when Shiki got his fleet destroyed. The egg on the Oro Jackson is the 3rd ancient weapon Uranus and it is a weather controller. The revolutionary army got their hands on it somehow after the Roger pirates disbanded. And unless Dragon is some kind of mythical zoan user he probably had a ship docked somewhere near loguetown that could have had the egg on it.

I had always assumed that during the Gray terminal fire the pathway was opened up by Ivankov winking power. I thought that was fairly obvious. Now I have to go recheck that.

Me and my brother discussed this last week and we discussed the possibility of Dragon have a Kaze Kaze fruit or something, that he is wind basically. We discussed the possibility of he using wind to take himself from point A to B which technically would probably cause a storm wherever he went which happened first time we saw him. Also if he enchanting his observation haki which some use to see the future a bit, but if he use the wind in some way to make it stronger. Because he knew which direction Black beard approached.

I Cant wait for all The Power scalers to loose their minds, When Dragon gets revealed as The Most Powerful One Piece character, I mean he's the MC's dad, and he's labelled as The Most Wanted Criminal! his abilities are probably hidden from the world like how they did Rocks, the only difference is Dragon is still active! 😂
