Les Douvres or the Douvres as we all called it, was extremely popular about 40 years ago. I did a lot of socialising there. I guess it must’ve been mostly at night because I did not recognise the outside of it at all. The Smugglers at Jerbourg point was another favourite. Also Saints bay car park was as creepy as anything after dark. My boyfriend and I got scared down there one evening, it had really creepy vibes. Thanks for the memories Ross

Loved this short film. Walked these lanes many many times, been coming to Guernsey two or three times a year for past 20 years, not been able to get there for twelve months, hope to sail over in May, weather permitting. Keep up the great films😀👏 Don

Gorgeous what a treat watching that I've only got 2 more months to wait till I come back I used to ride my moped along here on the way to the saints bay hotel where I worked I love the south coast makes me want to cry every time I see it thanks for posting 😊❤

Just over three years away from the island and the lanes look so thin, plus the cars are driving on the wrong side of the road 😂. Spent a lot of time at Les Douvres with a group of friends in the late 80s (It’s pronounced Lay Douvres by the way). I’m pretty sure the holes in the cliff at Saints were just used by fishermen to store their gear back in the day.

Nice one, Ross! Never would I dare to drive there!!! But I'm looking forward to walking my feet off in those lanes in May ❤❤ I believe you can reach Saints Bay Kiosk and the beach only by foot or bike...

Great video! I stayed at Les Douvres when I visited in 2019. Did a fair amount of walking, wishing I had my bike the whole while! A video of Havlet, down from Hauteville to The Octopus location would be fun! Cheers & thanks!

Brilliant drive along lovely unspoilt part of Guernsey,we stayed at La Barbarie many years ago and had a brilliant holiday,really excellent hotel.🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿👍.
