In this video, we’re thrilled to take you on a journey to Ale Tuna Izakaya, Sun Prairie's new sushi gem that just opened two weeks ago. Located conveniently next to La Rosita Mexican Grocery Store and sharing a parking lot, this cozy spot offers a handful of booths and tables, a large fish tank, lovely decor, and calming music.
During our visit, we sampled an impressive array of sushi from their extensive (but still evolving) menu. Here’s what we tried:🍣
- Spicy Salmon Roll (Maki)
- Negi Hamachi Roll (Maki) - Yellowtail and green onions
- Spicy Spider Roll - Deep-fried soft shell crab, avocado, cucumber, and tobiko
- Iso Fantastic - Tuna, salmon, yellowtail, avocado, cucumber, and tobiko wrapped in white seaweed

We were also treated to some off-menu delights: tempura plantain with a strawberry drizzle and spicy sauce, plus a beautiful fruit plate. Talk about being spoiled! 😍
The atmosphere at Ale Tuna Izakaya is truly special. The chefs and owners clearly have a passion for their craft. The decor is charming, featuring nicely folded napkins, a unique boat table, and an overall warm ambiance. While there's no sushi bar seating, the dining experience is intimate and enjoyable.
The miso soup was exceptionally fresh, made daily, and might just be the best John has ever tasted - packed with flavor! The sushi itself was incredibly fresh, and every bite was a testament to the quality and care put into each dish.
We absolutely loved our time at Ale Tuna Izakaya and can't wait to return. Join us as we explore this fantastic new addition to Sun Prairie’s dining scene!
