Here is my sequel to this video! The Houses of The Conjuring 2! ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-YjaPxR1PLgI.html&lc=UgzDfhXsDNafPyhdBJR4AaABAg&feature=em-comments
It fascinates me that it's a normally looking house. You just go around and you don't stop cause it's so normal. It scares me but it's fascinating. I love England, been there twice. Love your accent and architecture. Very interesting video. Hello from the Czech Republic. :)
Thank you, glad you enjoyed the video! I agree its almost more scary because it doesn't look scary! I'd love to visit Czech Republic again oneday. There's so many places I'd love to visit and make videos!
I'm glad someone has FINALLY got the area right - time and time again, people say the Enfield poltergeist house is in Ponders End - NO IT'S NOT - it's in BRIMSDOWN!! (I'm an Enfield resident by the way, and I live about a mile from it!!)
@@HenrysAdventures Yeah - and considering Brimsdown station is actually at the end of Green Street, I think that says it all! Ponders End is half a mile further south from Green Street!
I went to Brimsdown school in the late 70's ... kinda knew the family.....this horrible episode in their lives really effected them in alot of different ways. This case of poltergeist activity is a 100% real. A real tragedy.
Henrys Adventures can you do that ?? Knock and ask the resident if they are okay with you filming the house. If they are okay with it, reassure them If they do feel uncomfortable you will blur out their faces if they do not want to be identified.
I am obsessed with the Enfield Poltergeist story. This video makes me extremely happy and I am very jealous you got to even go outside. Fantastic video I loved it.
I actually believe it. I used to live in Leeds and i was about to sleep and someone screamed in my ear it also happened to my mother. Some houses are haunted!
I think the Nottingham's lived in the house to the left, not the right separate house as Janet passed through the adjoining wall and left a book (Fun&Games for children) in their bedroom. Also the Nottingham's could hear the banging caused by the poltergeist on the partition wall. Finally it started in 1977, not 1979. Even though most of the events had died down by 79 Peggy (the mother) still lived in the house until she died in the 90's. Janet moved away and now lives in Essex and is married. Both Janet and her sister still believed that the happenings never abated fully as occasionally stuff would happen but very rarely right up till their mothers death.
That house is very haunted if a family has suffered from this spirit still remains in the house, it tells me a lot the house is amalgamated with paranormal activity.
good to see the house so many years later ,i remember the newspapers and news crews at the house your date is correct but wrong year it was 1977 till 1979 and janet had active stuff for over 10 after but faded away
We've had poltergeists. It's not the house. It's never about the house. Poltergeists are about people. The biggest or at least most prevalent mistake people make with this phenomenon is focusing on the house. The house is incidental. It's not the house that's haunted, it's the people who are connected.
Usually, it's caused by adolescents or teenagers. When my son was a teen he would come to sleep on the couch late because he said something was bothering him in his room.
@@Baffled-f9d I agree from a lot of research I've read. There's a massive correlation with these phenomena and children. I think it's more prevalent with girls and the sweet spot is about 9-13 years old. We're all so digitized and distracted anymore, I don't think we're going to solve this mystery anytime soon.
@@fifteenbyfive Yes, it freaked me out a bit after coming home from work around 12:30 am. I'd be on the couch, and he would not want to sleep in his room. Hearing things move and something about flashing lights. This was in 2007.
I went there yesterday whilst I was in Cambridge, thought why not. Took some photos of the house and then a girl peered through the curtains and just made scary faces at me 😂
Fascinating real life haunting. I wondered - in the film The Enfield Poltergeist, it showed crosses on the bedroom walls, did Janet and Margaret Hodgson really have crosses on the walls like that, crucifixes, or were they added in the film? (Extremely terrifying real life haunting and the film as well. Scared me to the very marrow!!).
Just come across this video, taken a big interest in the Enfield Poltergeist case in this last Six Months and have visited the House from outside. Nice work Henry enjoyed this.
Greetings from Florida. I’m a big fan of the conjuring. I have a friend in Florida originally from the UK and I’ve been trying to get him to watch this movie for a while. It never dawned on me it was filmed in London and most of the cast is British. That usually is enough to convince him. Maybe he’ll check it out now
Well done mate, nice content. I'm in Enfield right now, as a believer of the paranormal I was intrigued and came across your video. I might pass that house just to get a sense of what happened back in 1979
Henry, I finally got around to watching your most popular video.😅 It is a great one. I love that voice you make for the poltergeist talking through the girl.
I was in London, I feel now so sorry not going there to see it. If we believe in God we can believe in the evil too. God bless thous people living there
Just watched the Conjuring 2 and I'm interested about the basement? like I don't know of any council houses that have basements. I do respect The Warrens and the Family involved. Sad they did not get more help at the time 1970s was a generation that would not listen to people who felt they had been living in a haunted house.
Interesting point there. I do wonder if the basement was added in the film to make it more interesting but there may not have been a basement in the real house.
@@HenrysAdventures np I visited the school few years back it had a fire destroyed most of the building I knew kids of hodgsons well we used to play together as kids everyone thought she Janet was weird but I never judge I didn't like mr Richardson the head master he used the cane 👍🇬🇧🐾🦊
Oh, your video is so good! I have watched movies on the Conjuring as well as watched interviews with the Warren's on this story. FREAKY stuff! Thanks for making this video! 🙀🙀😻😻
I bought a house in the mid 80's which was a new build. One night I woke up and a the table lamp was on so i tried to put it off but something invisible was pulling it away from me and was stronger than I was. I was a bit scared but I couldn't understand it. My partner at that time experienced things also while we were both there. A couple of my friends would stay over at different times and experienced these things too. One said he felt something pulling his arm. I tried so hard to find out what was there before the estate was built and it was just waste ground and a duck pond. I never got to the bottom of it. I still own the property but nothing strange happens there anymore. As I kept a cat and dogs I wonder if it helped get rid of whatever it was.
I liked this video because you cut through all of the bullshit like intros and titles and ego and you get right to it. So I subscribed. And you’re interesting to listen to and you apparently know your shit!
That was really interesting Henry. Not the kind of thing I normally associate with you but really good. I did contemplate sending them a letter with the address of this video but I imagine that or similar has already been done many times before. Legend has it that the most haunted house in England was Borley Rectory (fired then demolished) but this one runs it a darn close second. Excellent.
Glad you enjoyed the video, are you say its not my usual sort of thing but I enjoyed find out the info for this one. I've heard of Borley Rectory and I've had a few people mistake it for this house!
I know this story from a vary long time back. Sooo many interviews done with the family... Would love to know if the policeman could be found and the builder guy to be interviewed...so many say it's all fake...I don't know? Should not think anyone living in it?
It certainly would be great to interview the policeman and the builder, the latter was the next-door neighbor I think. This is a family living there now. Not sure if they've witnessed anything strange!
@@HenrysAdventures thank you for this. Good work Henry. Very interesting. Shame these days you could not knock and find if the present occupiers had felt anything? 🧐
Late 90’s up in Bogalusa , Miss next to a deer hunting camp was a cemetery. One of my buddies had the brilliant idea to go take a walk thru it late night after playing cards . All i remember is flashlight , early 1900’s on headstone and the skinniest human or figure walking along the fence line. No one said anything just sprinted back to the camp I didnt sleep all night and think ab it to this day
I've experience bed shakes quite a lot in the early day's in my home. But since I've started Communicating with the otherside its stop. Well from the start I used to shout out pack that shit up! I've got to be up at 2.30am
I would personally love to meet Janet, especially as she, or her mother Peggy, may have known my great grandparents. My great grandparents lived on Cocker Road, which I believe is a 15 minute walk from Green Street. Funnily enough, there was apparently a poltergeist in a house across the road from my grandparents, who also happened to be called Bill. The owner of the house called at my great grandparents house, and spoke with my great grandad. Apparently the owner was known to be a tough guy, but he was shaking, and he asked my great grandad to describe the man who previously lived in the house. Once my great grandad had described him, the owner revealed that he had seen him standing at the gate, wearing a rosette. The family had to have the house exorcised in the end, as there had been poltergeist activity going on inside, and the family were frightened. According to the story my nan told me, the previous owner's spirit was unhappy that his daughter was not allowed to move into the house, and that there was instead a new family living there. Apparently the previous owner had wanted his daughter to have the house once he had died, but for some reason the council wouldn't allow it.
Thank you for pointing that out. The funny thing is for the 2020 street view they've blurred the wrong house. Personally I think it's silly blur something on streetview at it just attracts more attention in the real world.
There is a little shadow at the top right window, which is constantly moving throughout the video. At first it is at the down right corner of the window but then it starts moving to the middle...Could be a reflection of something though but it looks weird.
I was born in ponders end enfield, in1958 we kids knew the house in green sreet as the haunted house. The people in was told by the council it wasn't haunted and if they complained the would lose the house,
@@Loverboy19691 Exactly Andrew. It would be interesting to see what became of vic eventually. Like you said, he would be in his 80's now. Also, just in my opinion mate, i believe that the Enfield poltergeist case was like the Nasa moonlandings - SOME PARTS WERE FACT - SOME PARTS WERE STAGED. The old mens voices speaking through the girl were fact. The photos of her flying in the bedroom were entirely staged. The human mind is a strange thing Andrew. Let me explain. I believe the girls were staging certain things in order to INDUCE more poltergeist activity as they actually got a thrill from the paranormal activity. The tv interviews they conducted in the 2000's during which the girls said that they were scared during the visitations in the 1970's can be proved to be lies. They can clearly be seen laughing during the tv interviews that they gave in the 1970's at the HEIGHT of the activity.
That road crossing in front of the house at the time had a School crossing officer to help schoolchildren cross, they testified that they looked up at the upper floor window to see one of the girls float by
@@leonbroom7602 IMHO the most impressive testimony was from the two police officers that reported they saw a chest of draws move and lego bricks thrown around. not a career improvement move
Yes! It was a lollipop lady who looked up and saw Janet levitating around the room. She was so petrified that she went straight home and never went back!
IM SO LATE HERE! IM ARYAN FROM INDIA DELHI OH GOD! THIS STORY IS SO TERRIFYING I WATCHED CONJURING 2 AND EVEN JANET HODGSON REAL INTERVIEW THE OLD MAN VOICE WAS SO SCARY HEY BUT I WANT TO ASK ONE THING DID THE CURTAIN MOVED ON 1:35 ? AND YA IM 15 YEARS OLD
I have a friend who lives north of my location who owns a house that had certain paranormal activity in the past. It’s a house in Stockton, California, but for safety reasons, I don’t think I should be giving out the full address. I will tell you that the house does an appearance, like something out of an Exorcist movie. The only history I really know about it is that one of its previous owners was a doctor, who happened to preform abortions in the house, which may have been the cause of some of the activity. Another friend of mine, who happens to really be into Paranormal Investigations, claims a succubus came through during a sprint box session. Other crazy stuff has gone on in that house like the sound of a typewriter going off in another room. One recurring sight he, along with another friend of ours have seen, was an angry woman in a white dress staring out an upstairs window, facing the front of the house. At the moment, things at the house seemed to have calmed down. My friend believes that whatever spirits may have resided in the house have likely moved on. I never really had any crazy encounters while visiting the house, but I do believe I felt a temperature drop on the porch in front of the front door one night.
The people who live there are missing out on a huge cash cow opportunity - the amount of people from all over the world who'd be willing to spend thousands to spend just one night at that place, and yet for the place to still look as disheveled as it does, shame.
You are so right i've often thought this...probably they are very religious and believing and dont want to possibly rock the boat but ALSO there will be a clause in their tenancy agreement with Enfield Council that prevents them from making money off the property in any way. ( presuming its still owned by council)
Janet's description of the bedroom in the Nottinghams' house next door was completely the wrong colour which is especially strange as she'd been in there before. Nobody ever got hit on the head by the pillow, the kids shoved it out the window onto the porch roof where it sat until someone happened to notice it. Peggy didn't die sitting in that chair, I don't know where that has come from. Other than how he died the voice of "Bill" got absolutely everything about himself wrong including where he was buried!
@@privatenoneofyourbusiness5292If you do a little research and dig deeper, especially going to the original sources for the apparent goings on, you will see what this person is saying is true. Also, there is a video on RU-vid of the girls being interviewed at the time, admitting to faking it.
@@privatenoneofyourbusiness5292 The chair bit is stupid. Why would that particular chair still be in the house? The family would have their own furniture surely. The previous tenants' furniture would not remain!! I think this is one of the biggest hoaxes ever carried out personally!
is the house still haunted? and is there anyone living there? if so are they aware that the house is haunted like a ghost is living inside? just curious to know…
Hi sophie clouise, according to a documentary I've watched several times, the poltergeist was exorcised/persuaded to leave, by a famous medium called Domo I believe? You can find the documentary on RU-vid
As long as a new residence can stay there with no scare scene, i think there is no ghost anymore...if its still haunting, i would like to 'scan' the house in my way..sorry im not englishman...so just ignore my grammar..saya bangsa melayu dan islam.
