On June 19, 2022 I crashed my dirt bike and was hospitalized until November 2, 2022. Sustained a grade 3 diffuse axonal injury. I currently live in pain to certain areas on my body and it’s mostly left sided. Ie: face, lips, arm, and leg. It hurts to eat and drink things. I currently live in a fair amount of pain as well as extreme sensitivity in face, foot and leg along with loss of feel in my hand and foot(all on my left side).
My doctor titrated me up to 4.5 mg, but I had to back down to 3 because of side effects. I’ve been there over a year now and it really has helped with pain. No GI effects for me at that level. I was hoping to get off Lyrica, but that hasn’t happened yet.
Rule of thumb 1.5 then move up to 2,5 then 4.5 then maybe 5 or 6 we are all built differently! That’s what he meant ! Start slow & go up ! God bless you
I started at .5 and increased by .5 every 2 week's until I reached 4.5 mg. I've been on this dose for a while, and am planning on slowly going up again to either 6 or 8 mg depending, to see if I can get further improvement.
Changed my life after 47 years of M.E. Most of the other Drugs made things worse. Unfortunately, the G.P. who prescribed it for me for the last 3 years, has retired. I am now under review by the new Doctor, and it doesn't look good.
@@jmc8076 Not just Canada , I was about to give up finding a Doctor in Texas that would even speak to you about LDN and then I went on the LDN Research Trust Website and four Doctors in the entire State that would actually talk to you about LDN and Texas is a Huge State , that blew my mind !
@@brendabrenner2891 I'm not sure if an ultra-low dose like .05mg, would do in terms of benefit, but my Dr. had me begin with 1.5 mg, the next week, to up it to 3, then to 4.5 mg the next week as the maintenance dose. It works well for a friend of mine without side effects, but even the 1.5 mg dose caused my GI tract to cramp up and become bloated and stay that way. I made it through the first two weeks, but I couldn't live like that, so I gave up and moved on to try another of the supplements the rheumatologist recommended I try, which included NAC (which did the same thing to me) and NAD+. NAD+ has been tolerable and doesn't seem to bother my IBS very much. But I do a relatively low dose, and it took a few weeks to see some bit of improvement. I haven't done the NAD+ infusions, but I have looked into that. It's an interesting, albeit an expensive proposition.
@@brianhood8827 Hair loss on LDN is a side effect in older women. There are some FB LDN groups where, because hair loss was so often mentioned in posts, they did poll.
