Swim spas are spas that use large pumps to create a strong current to swim against (think treadmill but for swimming) if you've got a spare 100k laying around, I highly recommend it.
Yeah that has "Not repairable" written all over it. One day a pipe will fail and you'll never notice until the water soaks through the foam and shorts out the pump motor.
Nope, I worked for a company that makes these. They have technicians that specialises in repairing leaks. They remove the foam, fill the tub, find the leak, fix it, puts new foam, sends it back.
Steves Projects Again this is an old problem long ago solved. The use of vinyl ester resin on the acrylic has pretty much eliminated delamination on higher end spas.
Thanks for the heads up chris sounds right to me I do a bit of thermoforming myself and did try reinforcing some acrylic with ordinary polyester years ago with the same de lamination results as my old spa bath however you have encouraged me to buy some vinylester and do another test
Don't know if you still need it, but it should be at any hardware store, just ask for expanding insulation foam. If they don't have it check a construction supply store.
union jobs worked on it. not very long, and not hard at all, but they were there... all 100 of em. you can't even see the most "productive" ones that sit off to the side and get paid to be important.
