So glad to see you two highlight this ship and an inside stateroom! Everyone always says you MUST have a balcony for Alaska, but the cost is so much more and we honestly have never spent much time in our cabin.
Balconies are always nice but you're right they are far more expensive and we don't mind interior. We would rather go on more cruises instead :) Thanks for watching and Happy Cruising!
So glad you have posted some vlogs that are so informative! We vlogged it as well because there were not a ton of videos out there that had as much information as we had been hoping for when it came to this new ship !!! I am so enjoying your videos :) also looking forward to watching other videos as well !
Looks like you had a wonderful time. My husband and I sail the Discovery Princess on September 11! I am SOOO excited. What a beautiful ship! Thanks for sharing your adventure.
Yes there are videos for every day. Day 6 and 7 will be coming out this week. There should be links in the description of the video. You will love Alaska, it's an awesome trip!
Hi! Glad I found your channel. I have never cruised before and am planning on taking this cruise in 2024. I like to know everything that is going to happen, so I was wondering how you know when your room is ready. Thank you!
I'm glad you're enjoying the channel! Typically it's a set time. Usually 1:00 or 1:30 in the afternoon. They will commonly keep the doors closed to the state room area so you can't go down there. They also will usually make an announcement when the rooms are ready.
Did you drop your luggage before parking or park first and bring your luggage on the shuttle? We have a big group of 8 so thought dropping off at the cruise terminal first would be most efficient - your thoughts?
We took our luggage on the shuttle and the people at the parking lot were very helpful loading and unloading from the shuttle. I wouldn't bother dropping it off first as it may be hard to get in there with your own private vehicle.
May I ask how much you paid for your inside stateroom if you remember? how tall the husband. Looks like lower ceilings. Did you feel like you missed out by being at an inside stateroom? I'm thinking of getting an balcony for my husband and I and my older children will be in an inside stateroom across from us.
We got a very good deal for our inside cabin, It was about $350 per person. I know this year the prices are higher. I am about 6'1" and I didn't feel like the ceilings are low. Everyone will have a different opinion on inside cabins vs Balcony and I really think it comes down to budget. Andrea and I cruise quite a bit and we don't mind inside cabins. However, others do not like them and would never choose them. Everyone's going to have a different opinion. We prefer to pay less and get to go more often. 🤗
@@NorthernVikingExplorer - oh, that price for an inside is awesome and would be fantastic for my relatives. Did you pick up that lowered price close to the sailing date? or was it booked way in advanced? I'm planning on balcony for myself but that rate for my relatives would be soooo awesome!
