You make it look so easy and stress free sir , I'm learning something new every day ,thank you so much for these informative videos 🙏 hoping to see more 👍❤️
Rahul in this video for scrubbing glass the yellow one.. you're using what is this ? Isn't this kitchen Scotch bite wips spong used in wiping ? I also have this how do you quarantine it before using this ?
How and where am I supposed to save 800 litres of aged water ? My tank is big. I directly clean and put the tap water. The water quality here is nice . I mean I've been doing that for the past 3 years and everything has been fine till date. One of my discus laid eggs for the 1st time in my tank 😋
Sir sometimes the discus fish gets into a blackish shade so pls suggest me how to maintain the bright colour of discuss fish forever and keep him a healthy swimming fish
Sir can you suggest me that what is the best medicine for external parasite for discus my all discus are scratching his body in the tank glass and aeration pype and sponge filter and some time flicking his body and tail but they are all take food also what to do sir please help
You did mention about using aged water for water change , but you didn’t mention anything about the temperature of the aged water .. do you always ensure the temperature of the aged water to be same as that of your tank temperature..? Or if there is a variation , how much of a variation can the fishes tolerate ?
Online during winter you will have issues with temperature change... Because we will be using heaters in the tank... Also if we are doing 20 to 30 % water change there won't be much of temperature change... Only during 80 to 90 % water change we have to be careful and try and maintain same temperature
Hi ... really like ur video.. i am a hobbiest... and i have a discuss tank.. can you please explain what exactly you mean by aged water. ... i have a barebottom tank .... and I do about 20% water change on daily basis... but i am using normal tap water.. can you please explain the concept of aged water... thnx in advance...
Hi.. Thank you... Ageing water is basically store the water for6a day or 2 before it goes into the aquarium... So if you are using tap water then you can use a dechlornating liquid in your storage tank and then use it... And daily water changes are not required for Discus... I have made a video on water conditioning and water change plumbing .. Please do have a look...
@@FwrapperAqua thanks for d reply... will bother u with a few more questions if u dont mind ... I hav a 180 litre tank with 8 discus.. i am changing roughly about 40 litres a day and getting a ph level of around 7... The tap water i am using is the water supplied by the government... so it gets stored for about a day in my household tank nyway... and from that tank it comes to the water supply taps of my house... This dechlorinating liquid that u r suggesting.. can i add this to the discus tank after water change? Since i am adding water from my common household general tank to the tank....Any brand u suggest? And will it b a better idea to add RO water? Thnx in advance..
Bro the temperature was always 28 in this tank.. The first short was another tank... Little bit of variation is OK.. Come on man... Discus are not sooo sensitive... But good observation
@@FwrapperAqua HAHA thanks for the explanation bro.. People in the hobby stress so much about these stuff. Literally making us scared of keeping and breeding discus. Thanks for sharing bro.. highly appreciate it !
I would not recommend that.. Because if there is any impurities in the tap water you are putting that directly into the tank... Which is not good.. But if you don't have a choice... Nothing can be done
Fwrapper Aqua That’s all I’ve been doing since I had them been over a month already and I just used tap water with water conditioner and they laid eggs yesterday woke up and no more eggs they ate it all
... Hi.. Yes I have made 2 videos on the lighting setup... Please check in my playlist.. Or scroll down to the bottom of my video list.. One of the starting videos that I made
Please send me an email with a video of your tank along with your water parameters and filtration details... I need to have a look... Or please post all these details on our Facebook page Fwrapper aqua... We can try and help you... Without these details we cannot say anything
I really like your videos. Great job. I have a question. What did you use for that compartment for the K1 media bro? Is that made of glass or some corner reactor ?
Discus will always try and blend in with the background to a certain degree, you would find if you had a black background with black gravel then the fish would go a lot darker and less colourful but if you change just the gravel from black to normal stone then the fish will lighten up again. Most people will use the standard blue backgrounds because it is a middle of the road colour that makes the Discus show their best colours. Obviously if you only kept Blue Diamond Discus then you wouldn't have a white background as their colour wouldn't show very well, sorry for the long winded reply but I felt as this question needed answering properly
Manjula Fernando.... Hi.. You need to be very careful about siphoning out water from the fry tank when they are really small .. So what I do is I siphon the water into a light color bucket.. So we can see if any fries have got sucked in.. Check the water in the bucket with torch light for sometime and then pour the water away..
Ideally the calculation is 30 liters for a full grown Discus.. So about 200 liters is good... But if they are small you can keep them in a 100 liters tank..
@@FwrapperAqua 1have 3 feet long 1 and a half feet hight 1 feet wide aquarium with inbuilt sump system and one sponge filterand I have 6 discus with some neon tetras and 2 remirozy is 30 prevent water change in a week is ok
It is also better for ph of water to get adjusted after the change and then add food so that i shall be completely decomposed by good bacteria and to maintain ph
Fwrapper Aqua thanks buddy. I have one more query regarding discus. What if TDS is very high and RO is not a handy option? Does high TDS effect colour of the discus?
harish arora hi... High TDS will stress them out.. So most of the time Discus changes color when they are stressed... What is the high TDS reading that you are telling?
+Shubham Kumawat.. Substrate is good for aquarium... But with discus fish.. It can get little tricky.. Because water parameters may vary with substrate...
