If the people you play with in non-tournament games weren't okay with you saying something like "Hey, I modeled these with clubs because I think they look cooler, but for this game I'm running them as spears." then you need to find better people to play with.

Changing the culture of the game in the rules like this is important though. I got a friend into sigmar this year and he somehow managed to absorb the strict wysiwyg attitude from his initial research and I'm still working on breaking that down!

I like new rats. If BOC and bone splitters are the only armies that get taken out I think I could deal with that (ogres still have time for an update, hopium is high)

Ogres should be safe for the foreseeable future because Old World has them as a legacy faction, unlike Beastmen who are core. The GW civil war does not often allow for models to be cross compatible between SDS and main studio games for long. I'd say chances are high that they're gonna get a Seraphon-esque range refresh at some point during 4th, if they become a main faction in Old World 2nd edition then you should maybe start sweating

My biggest dissappointment thus far is that they have continued to increase the lethality while removing some horde building capacity (only one reinforcement per unit) which some will probably love but I like to build big hordes. Maybe specific armies will change this so you can double reinforce or something but we will have to see

As a Greenskin player, one last WAAAGH was my plans for my Bonesplitters anyway. I'm gonna move my shamans to 40mm bases so they can keep rockin. I'm much more exited about the army building rules, as that was the biggest hurdle for all the friends I'm teaching to play.

After how bad 10th has been I was thinking of switching to AoS. Now that AoS is looking even worse I am thinking of quitting the hobby.

There are also lots of other table top games you can use your warhammer models for. There is more then just warhammer :) But also I thought ppl were generally happy with the state of 40k, as in 10th is much better than 9th?

@@TheBugB No one I know in my circles, online or IRL, thinks 10th is better than 9th. And it's not just due to indexhammer, either. "Simplified not simple" just meant dumbing the game down to make it easier to pickup for newbies at the detriment of longterm players.

The main thing that bothers me about BS and BoC being squatted is that they waited way too long to do it. Especially BoC since they just got a new model with their latest tome and have endless spells which are just completely useless now since old world doesn't even use them
