This supposed ex Christian has never read the gospel but supposedly was in seminary classes. This is exactly why Priests in the Orthodox Church can make some be a catechumen for several years before they baptize them. Some people just aren’t ready. If you’re a catechumen in the Orthodox Church, trust your priest’s judgment. Waiting was difficult for me but now I understand my priest’s discernment. I’m wondering if this guy was actually even baptized or just identified as orthodox. Without being 100% about communion I can’t imagine his priest would receive him unless he lied to his priest.

Daniel was a petifull sight, and kept on pulling his beard in utter confusion. Moslem preachers have a clever way of converting Christians by selectively quoting the bible and the quran that they (Muslims) themselves do not full understand.

This young man is a reflection of the problem of world in general. They have a desire to believe in something, but they only want to believe in that thing if it conforms to their preconceived ideas. They do no real scholarship before saying something just “make sense” or “feels right”. May the LORD be with these people and lead them toward the truth.

It needs to be stipulated, clearly, that someone can’t identify as an ex-Christian if they literally don’t understand the basics. Time and time again there are ex-Christian who turn musl that knew nothing about the scriptures and know even less about Islam

Sunan ibn majah vol 5 no 3781 The quran will come on the day of resurrection like a pale man, and will say : i am the one that kept you wake at night and made you thirsty during the day. The difference with Jesus as the word of God? Jesus satisfied the thirsty, he is offering the living water for those who trust him. and like the good sheperd he guard the sheep during the night so no thief nor beast may get the sheep. Jesus and Quran is the same as the word of God and appear as man. But Jesus is the opposite of quran in terms of what it made you feel or what He do to you. At night quran kept you awake, Jesus kept you safe so you can rest. At day quran make you thirsty while Jesus is the living water, you will not thirsty anymore.
