Colin is one of the most underrated comedians ever

My respect for Brad Sherwood has increased dramatically. His perspective on show biz and life in general is outstanding.

I proposed on stage to my wife (girl friend at the time) at a Collin and Brad show 7 years ago, and she said yes of course (lots of people watching haha). I set it all up with their managers before hand once she surprised me with tickets, they truly are some of best people you will ever meet, they pulled strings to get us in the front row and they played if off the whole time as a double booking accident with our seats when we showed up. They met up with us after the show to take pictures after a very funny dance sketch we did with them and the proposal. Really they are great people and should have a lot more respect and praise, true masters of their art. BTW these dudes are insanely tall, I am 6' tall and they made me feel like a dwarf.

Colin needs to know, he is the BEST on Who's Line.

Wow, Brad said a lot that can apply to so many aspects of life. That bit about being unhappy in the journey makes you unable to be happy even at the dream destination really made me rethink my attitude.

I'm now convinced that Brad is a genius. So we'll spoken and insightful.

I am only about 25 minutes in, but I am loving this! It's great to get to know them as real people, not just in character and "on". They're both giving such good advice, too!

I am officially in love with Brad Sherwood. What a passion for life he has. Love it.

The most down to earth people I've ever seen. I can also see myself in them, loud on the outside but quiet on the inside.

Brad is an excellent speaker, if he doesn't I think he should teach classes. Great video even for non- arts students, I really enjoy seeing behind the curtain, thank you.

I am 80+, and it was way past my bedtime when I started to watch this interview tonight. I had to stay up and watch it to the end, and because it was so interesting and illuminating, I then had to stay up until the light of dawn to write and express my appreciation for their willingness to share their wisdom with us. I come from the other side of the professional world, in that I was a professional pilot all my life, but I was always a huge fan of all forms of comedy, with my favourites being standup, and improv comics. There is so much wisdom in what Colin and Brad shared in this video, that at times I had to marvel that they knew the secret of life. I am a retired professional pilot, and in my job, you either had to love the job, or you couldn't survive at it, and Brad described that feeling perfectly when he was talking about finding success If you don't, or can't, enjoy the journey to success, then the ride will eventually grind a person into the ground. The other secret he shared, that to enjoy wherever a person is on the journey, is also a wonderfully wise observation. We only get one run through this life, so it is pointless to be in a place that tortures our soul. Going back to the 70s, I have treasured the times when I watched Whose Line, and the other shows, with SCTV. I still, happily watch the youtubes of Whose Line regularly and still enjoy all the skits, even though I have seen many of them a number of times. My favourites are, the Film noire skits and the scenes from a hat, but I loved them all. The skit with Richard Simmonds, was priceless, but there were many that came very close to that level. Thank you for the joy you all have given me.

Wow! Definitely was not disappointed when I met Colin. He came over to the table, sat down, and we had a quiet conversation about making commercials. During the filming for that particular one, he used his improv skills to great advantage. How many people do you know can ask for - and get - a ladder and a raw steak to feed to a robo-wolf, then gather an audience and garner laughs while doing just that? Long Live Colin Mochrie!

I had the pleasure of meeting Colin and Brad after one of their shows. They were just as real and unassuming as they were in this video. Totally authentic, not phony.

When Brad mentioned that they don't see Ryan often Colin looked a little sad.

I never really cared for Brad. Now that I’ve watched this I feel like he is one of the most sincere and admirable people I have ever seen.

Brad really just delivered in this interview with so much honesty and intelligence.

Why I spent my entire life doing singing telegrams is exactly what Brad Sherwood is talking about to me. The saying if you love what you do you never work a day in your life comes to mind, and as far as Colin, don't forget to smell the roses as far as his response to that same question. Having a life in entertainment means nothing if you don't do it for the right reasons. It's not for fame or fortune. Those things are not guaranteed. It's for the love of the work. It's brain work for sure, just not considered the type of brain work that people consider smarts, but it takes alot of work to build your brain to work that way in the first place. Bravo gentleman.

The Richard Simmons episode is literally the funniest thing I have ever seen. I wish there was a better version available on youtube.

I used to think Brad was one of my least favorite guys on the show, since my friend always said he didn't like him and I just kind of developed the same dislike from that. However, after watching how insightful he is as an actor and as a person here, I really respect him a lot more. He's way funnier and smarter than people give him credit for.

Brad and Colin are two of the nicest people you’d want to meet. We met them in Sandusky Ohio on my daughter’s birthday and made her birthday a very rememberable event. She still had her autographed mousetrap. Doubt they’d ever see this but kudos to them for bringing joy and pleasant memories to both of us that will last a lifetime.

Never realised how introverted they both are, but not surprised as is the case with a lot of good comedians. This is the 1st time I've actually seen them not performing cheers for the vid

These guys along with everyone else on Who's Line have put me into breathless tears of laughter more so than anyone on this planet.

I love how down to Earth these guys are, and how they dont seem to realize how many people love their work. So humble! I see them as some of the best comedians ever! Would love to see them be hired to do voice over improv in an animated movie! How sad the process to be hired is made harder than it has to be.

I really like what Brad was talking about at about 25:00 I'm not an actor or anything but I think his advice can be taken with almost any career or lifestyle. For me right now, it's playing guitar. It's something where it's more for the journey of enjoying the music I play and the people I play with rather than aspiring to be a star.

Last year for my birthday, my husband got me a Cameo by Colin and made mention that we'd be in the front row at their live Scared Scriptless show. In the Cameo Colin alluded that I might be called up but I never thought it would happen in a million years. I was wrong. He called me up and he and Brad sang to me. They made me feel so comfortable even though I was nervous. At the end, I got to hug them both!! BTW I'm only 4'11" so it was a stretch, literally. But worth every second. I have it on video and know the song by heart. Now my husband knows to get me Colin cameos for gifts!

Drew's comedy worked great with the group he was with... just his laugh alone was hilarious. I also love hearing that he went to improv shows and actually worked at improving that skill. I know it's frowned upon to say this, but I so wish he could have come back for the new season. Sometimes you just get that once in a lifetime group, and Drew was surely an important part of that group. Regardless, I am so thankful to all of them for all the laughter. 🖤

I love these guys. I loved the show since the beginning in the UK onwards. It’s so good to hear them talk so generously about Drew and Robin Williams and not simply take the ego polishing that was being offered. Really interesting.

What Brad said about Greatest Hits explains how Chip and Wayne said "Woouhoo" at the same time before. So it was less of a rare coincidence. So now my theories that the Whose LIne was scripted are gone.

These two and the entire Whose Line cast was my childhood, one of the few things I found solace in, in my troubled bordering on non-existent childhood. I owe them my life, they literally saved me from killing myself all those years ago.

That warmed my heart. Especially the part, where Colin's wife should sprinkle Colin's ashes on the people, who didn't believe in him. Also, "to make the others look worse" by not cracking up explains really well for me, why Colin doesn't laugh that much. I wonder what he would say about the episode with his sixpack...

I'm loving this interview, and seeing a glimpse into the "real" Brad and Colin, because I'd wondered what they were like when not on stage in their group. Thank you for sharing this with all of us non-actors.

Colin being uncomfortable and drinking water, reminds me of "Whose Line: If You Know What I Mean" and him miming drinking coffee.

Enjoying the journey, from Brad, was so deep and enlightening. That advice should carry into whatever a person's dream is. Have joy in the "failures", because it's all part of life. You learn most when you're on the ground looking up.

You know I don't understand how some people can dislike certain videos. It just astounds me. This was very informative in my opinion. I guess you really can't please everyone.

I find it interesting that these two are a couple of the funniest guys ever on tv, and this is a endearing interview and serious comments.

I love all the Whose Line cast, and Brad and Colin are surely exquisitely talented. I watch as many episodes as I can find, some are in syndication, but they never grow old. The genius behind improv is amazing to me. Bless you both, loved the interview. Hope to see you keep doing what you doing for a long time to come❤❤

Brad's advice on life is so real and something I needed to hear in a long time

Awesome wisdom-dump from two elder statesmen of the craft. This was what I needed after watching some Whose Line and wondering about Colin Mochrie's real-life personality. Was not disappointed! And pleasantly surprised by Brad Sherwood's intellectualism and emotional intelligence. Great video.

Brad Sherwood, the guy who seemed to mess around the most on Whose Line, gave one of the most thoughtful interviews I’ve seen from an actor.

I wish they would release absolutely.everything that EVER happened on Whose Line.

So...... I was watching a bunch of Who's Line stuff and this was the next in line and I was like "not what I was looking forward to but I'll give it a few minutes"... I'm so glad I did. This is now one of my favorite moments on RU-vid. They are so real, so honest and still funny as hell. The only regret is no one asked "talk about the Hitler/Cosby episode".

I met both Brad and Colin before a show in 2014. Colin was very shy and seemed uncomfortable - but, friendly. Brad was fairly outgoing and we shared some laughs.

I just love seeing how others' lives play out and how they reflect on themselves. Just learning about people can cultivate my perspective on my own life. It makes sense: all people have their own niche(s) in life, which eventually connect them with other people, because you can't go through life without bumping into others and forming relationships with them. These relationships are why your niches (or "purposes" or "qualities") matter to you, because they matter to others. Brad and Colin emphasized this in their discussion.

What they were saying about what they would like to tell their youngest selves reminded me of what another actor said above the same thing. He said people always tell you that life is short, so you don’t miss out on opportunities but he had started to tell himself that life is long so he took more time to enjoy what he was doing while he was living it , making time for the important things, pacing himself so the pressure didn’t get too much and he could be present and enjoy the great life he was getting to live. Same sort of advice, a strong message.

I have loved them both, so damn funny. Every time I've seen who's line is it anyway. I'm glad they did this discussion and I hope that the students really listened to what they were saying. I have to admit, it is amazing to say how different they are in this setting. I really do expect them to just have it all together like everything in life is no big deal, and you find out that not only are they just like everyone else (which should be obvious but they are that good at comedy that we forget) and that when out of their element its a bit intimidating. I'm glad they shared that piece.

At 1:18:08 Brad Sherwood forgot he had already said "ferret" a minute ago at 1:16:59. People really don't record memories when they're improv-ing.

A close friend and schoolmate went to N.Y.F.A. that's where he started his film career. It's a badass, feeling (bragging rights, lol) knowing someone in the industry!!

There are a lot of life lessons in this, not just for actors. Glad I gave in and watched it, because they are right: you have to be happy with the journey to your goals! I think that is the difference between a person who survives and a person who lives. I survive unhappily, but I have never really lived.

yes, and that was awesome! Thank you. I grew up with Who's Line in South Africa in the 90's. It had a major impact on my interaction with other people and these guys - and Drew, Wayne and Ryan - definitely have a place on my list of heroes.
