I'm so sorry you were treated so cruelly on the worst day of your life! I have a girlfriend who was df'd when her father died, i told my husband, "I don't care who sees me do it, but I'm giving her a hug! The human factor must come into play, her father died!!" He's an elder, but he agreed with me about doing what i did! (I was shocked he agreed!) Thank you for sharing this intimate information with us!

Yeah that was hard to deal with . It’s not that hard to say I’m sorry for your lose: That situation taught me a lot . I’m glad you did that. I’m sure that made you gf feel really good.

Thank you for sharing your story. I am sorry that you were treated like that when you loss your father. Shunning is the cult's way of killing a person. The elders through the governing body, only have the power to resurrect people. It is something traumatic...stay well💞

To shun another one has to develop a very hard, unnatural hateful attitude toward this person that you had at least Agapé love for a previous minute ago. To shun really good one has to become really full of hate, and this is not really towards the deed (as we do not know what this person has done, if anything) but towards the person. It is very detrimental to the psyche of the shunner as well the shunned.

I remember when I was disfellowshiped going to my dear Aunt's funeral, my Daddy's sister, and sitting up front with the family and my cousins. I was motioned to the aisle by an usher and escorted to a rear seat. I refused seat and kept walking out of Kingdom Hall. That was the last time I saw the inside of a Kingdom Hall. I am thankful that it was as it is now clear the organization is not of God.
