If you read what I wrote correctly I didn't say this game could have been released on the PS1 I just said the graphics are no better than the PS1 tactics games but like I said it's not about graphics it's gameplay. There's a reason why Pokemon has sold so many millions of games even to this date, it's because gameplay is favoured much over graphics. Sure getting the best graphics is brilliant but not if gameplay suffers for it. Sick of playing 5 hour games then swapping afterwards.
Precisely. It's a shame that a lot of people favour graphics so much these days. The companies spend so many years releasing games now and when they're finally released people play them for like a month max, even the online ones. They're full of bugs, and generally unbalanced. Now I know this completely looks like a PS1 game but that's one of it's best features and I'm not even fucking kidding, tactics games need to be on a grid like this and this game is so nostalgic to the old PS1 classics!
Er They're the same ones you see in Disgaea 2, excluding the Hero class. Or did you just really not play Disgaea 2 at all? And don't forget, having HD really makes a difference. But hey, let's all complain about what it appears to look like and cry that NIS didn't make the character sprites appear to look better. Let's whine about the fact that they added a buncha' gameplay content, voiceovers, and totally revamped/brought back an entire class and its moves. Good job, Nubbles.
ok there is a stage 7-3 or something like that where there is a 3x3 group of monsters. go and pass 4 stronger enemy bills. and go kill the monsters... there is a bug in the game when you have 4SEB passed that its like your killing lvl 300 monsters and not level 99 monsters... you can level easy to about 1500-2500 this way.
ok.... no.1 have you noticed that ALL Disgaea games are in the Playstation series of consoles, starting from ps2? If you don't like it, buy a ps3 2.) Pfft, Adell? after you finish the last boss fight and go on. talk to the people around the school... like the slime guy and others... they will say stuff and a thing pops up saying bla bla bill availibal... go and pass it and then go do the fight on and gate warper.

I completely agree this game should have been on the PS2. One we wouldn't have to buy the lame that is the ps3 (least it's that way to me) And 2 what does the ps3 offer this game that the ps2 couldn't? really now...
The only question is why they felt the need to put this game on ps3...I really don't want to buy a ps3...but I really do want to play this...*sulks and goes off to play Disgaea Afternoon of Darkness*

Well, I just thought if you really wanted the game, there's no other choice but to buy a ps3, since it's pretty much near-impossible for it to jump to another console, also, I was just stating that Adell's time has finished, and is time for a new character to take his place, I mean who knows, that new guy seems better than both Laharl or Adell to some extent.
this could be on ps2 and be more conveinent however by puting it on ps3 it might get more attention seeing there isn't much on right now lucky i manganed to get one of those bad boys off craigslist for 340 so it doesn't really matter to me

ya... but i got so annyoning of the leveling.... haha i not really a hardcore player but i will love to get disgaea 1 characters and play with them but now i need to fight the gunner girl which is lvl 200.... all my character is under lvl 150.... my highest is lvl 193 mao xD
Hrm..I love NIS games. But this is just..ugh. The graphics aren't really up to PS3. Better off if we had a PS2 U.S. release. And these attacks aren't cool at all. The special skills in Disgaea 2 are way better.
Fool. I pwned Disgaea 2. It's an amazing game. I defeated it 100%. So don't try to act high and mighty... And wrong, the majority of the skills I saw in this trailer were not the same. Not even relatively as cool. And if you're saying the skills are all the same..what fun is it in playing the 3rd one? I can't compare the game play just yet, until I actually play the 3rd one. Just judging on this preview, it doesn't look like much.
