This is from Atlus's SMASH HIT Shin Megami Tensei NINE. This definitely seems to be more of an old school feel (Six party members, actual equipment, etc). It's a shame it looks so cruddy.
Hopefully Atlus does do a re release in the future, hopefully letting it come out in the us as well, like they did with Soul Hackers but hopefully we won't have to wait as long.
When is this game set? I heard that it is set during SMT1, but the world looks fucked up as it was after the bombing in SMT2. What's the actual plot of the game anyway?
This is set after Thor send the nukes to Tokyo and destroyed the city, global nuclear war occured later which the whole world later became an uninhabitable wasteland (thanks America). The citizens were forced to live underground and built a digital world that recreates 1990's Tokyo. The protagonist of SMT 1 and his friends were in the Diamond Realm at the time.
You know what WOULD be a good idea? Is if ATLAS would remake this game! I wouldn't mind if it was remade for the PSP. I mean, if any of you have listened to the soundtrack, you would agree with me when I say ITS AWESOME! That's some damn good music going to waste =[
SMASH HIT? The game sold so poorly that it's online features were never even implemented. It only hit Platinum hits because it was one of the only Japanese games on the Xbox, and no one in Japan bought Xboxes
Im sorry. Im a big megaten fan, but this game looks beyond bad. Playing this is like playing every final fantasy just because of the name. I was really hoping it'd be good too
