"A fan made music video for the song "Consume the Forsaken" was featured in the background of the movie Paranormal Activity without the band's knowledge, leading to a lengthy legal dispute." - Metal Archives page of Disgorge. The thing that blows my mind is that Disgorge got upset. Now it's understandable if the film featured a fan made music video for some song by Metallica and then Metallica had no knowledge of it. Disgorge is not a big time metal band at all. You'd think they'd love it in the film. What happened? Did this scene get cut or did it stay? I had no idea there was even some legal dispute over it until I read it on the Disgorge page on The Metal Archives.
@@SaltGrinder Yes good point. Still a bit surprised, some bands don't even care about getting paid. However, Disgorge is not one of those bands. That's fine by me.
I remember seeing an earlier release online,.when this movie first came out. It had a few different scenes and a different than the theatrical release, and this. I remember hearing this and thought this was some brutal death metal, and when I watched the versions on dvd and Netflix I noticed it wasn't. I thought I was crazy for years... Thanks for the upload!
This is not fake, i was astonished since i am a big Disgorge fan, when i saw this scene in this movie for the first time. I rewind it atleast 15 times, lol. Legit as fuck...Movie is nothing special, though...
