it must be so hard to be funny and not awkward (edit: and also informative) whilst streaming and maintaining such precision. I think DrTChops does a fine fine job.
One of, if not the best run with so many glitches and speed! DrTChops is an amazing runner, with bouts of humor and knowledge dropped in. I selfishly wish he ran more games at AGDQ to spice up more of the event. To you DrTChops, You amazing gamer you!
If you do spellless upgradeless run you have to also jump when you are threw into the "barrel" by Daud. And in the one section towards the end you have to use bladetraps to do "rocketjump" in one place as well, and either tricky jump where you have to jump and move backward when in air to grab ledge that is right on top of you or do another bladetrap jump.
Not sure if you’ll read this Chops, but seriously an amazing run, as usual. Great commentary, this game moves so fast and there’s so much to explain and you do it so well. Also great time, 47 is quite good for a marathon plus all that weird stuff that typically happens with Dishonored runs. Keep up the great work
I first thought it was a re-upload, then saw that the game in the description said "Dishonored 2", and then it turns out he got 12 minutes slower than he did at the SGDQ2016. Still a very enjoyable runner and worth watching again!
I liked the second a lot more than the first. The first favored lethal playstyles way too much which made it less enjoyable for someone like me who likes to ghost through games.
off the top of my head, my biggest complaint is one thats becoming unfortunately more and more common: fully voiced main player characters.. and having the same voice actor as Garrett form the thief reboot really took me out of the game (partially due to how much of a letdownThief 2014 was)
Nice commentary. Quite helpful I might try playing dishonored and dishonored 2 as a speedrun But Im scared of the perfect calculstions and countless hours of work and learning put in xd
I like the first games levels more but I prefer the powers in the second game that Emily has and on repeat pls y throughs you get access to both characters powers at once which opens up lots of possibilities
So after making a deal over the Mirror's Edge "Glitchless" run not technically being glitchless; DrTChops is playing an "All Collectibles" run that doesn't actually collect all the collectibles. Maybe they should call it an "All Major Collectibles" run?
Personally I thought Dishonored 2 was a really good game but only if you play as Emily ironically enough. Everyone wanted to play as Corvo but the game feels entirely meaningless if you do because Emily won't grow as a person. If you play as Emily I'd say it's almost as good as the first one. Just has less of an emotional impact.
The problem with this runner and others (and by problem I mean my personal issues) is that they chuckle and comment on jokes and random happenings within the run without explaining the context to others who don't know the game or speedrun specifics of the game. Example their comments on grinding xyz in prison section and then laughing. Just a personal grievance that many speedrunners do.
I beat this game alongside the marathon haha, but to me it was dissapointing. Corvo really gets better three times in the game, really? Story was so predictable, thanks for taking my gear at the very end, tallbous are extremely stupid and poorly planned out... But eh, finally beat it and props to the runner
FamilyBuiscut Yes I know you can get it back, but at that point I was so tired of the game I just went for the main objective and skipped it The only thing you really get back is the crossbow, which I only really used for sleep darts
one big thing... it's ok to admit you screwed up... i don't really understand why "oh yea first try" is really a thing.. it wasn't really funny when lego batman did it and i don't think it's funny now... but maybe that's me
