Great video! I had put up with the soap dispenser not closing on my unit for nearly a month. Watched your video, thought surely it would not be such a simple fix.... However, opened it up and right away saw the insolation had slid down and was blocking the locking mechanism for the soap dispenser. I removed it, reassembled and it is now good as new! Thanks for your very detailed video! The instruction and close up video was a help for a quick fix. My soap holder problem was the insulation as well. It took maybe 15 minutes to repair. My wife will be happy and as the saying goes, if momma happy, everyone happy! Thanks.

Thanks - a quick fix!! My insulation had slid down as well. It appears to be a somewhat formed piece as the bottom juts out toward the outer door which was what was causing my issue. It appears the insulation is protecting the circuit board so I was reluctant to pull the whole thing out. I broke off the bottom where it angled out and put the rest back in hopes of preserving the board longer (this DW was part of the original house build in 2000 and I need it to limp along until we are ready for a remodel!). If I have issue with the soap cup cover again, at least I know what to do!!

the sad part of this story is how easy it is to break or ware out.
