Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground in the Walt Disney World Resort is an amazing place with a wide variety of things to do and places to explore! Happy Easter!! I brought the kids to that resort in our RV and we stayed there for a week back during the late summer of ‘05 just before we got to our new home here in New Hampshire. It was a terrific stay. Mom could not travel with us because she went ahead to set up our house and get back to work at her new job there. I still owe her a trip there and a luxury experience for missing a summer of a lifetime coming across America in an RV. Thank you for jogging out fond memories of that time in our life!!

Omg THANK you for actually waiting through the whole Tri Circle-D recording about the horses of Disney! 🤗 Kept expecting you to walk out halfway through and I really wanted to hear the whole thing. Another great resort tour, I knew that resort was large, but you doing a stroll through really shows the size of that place (plus the map/directory). It is almost a vacation within the resort. Josh. Awesome vlog. We statayed at Ft Wilderness during hurricane in Sept 2016. We were eventually evacuated to the Art of Animation. But Wilderness was beautiful. You really did a great job with this vlog.

I am so happy to see this beautiful video of Fort Wilderness! This is the most wonderful campground in the world! I hope you will go there several times with the whole family and enjoy a lot of activities. The buffet at Trail’s End Restaurant is also very good, morning or evening. Hey Josh, Wilderness Lodge certainly is peaceful, well-maintained. Are all sandy beach/lake access areas now blocked of with rocks and fencing? That old-time calliope and tune was a treat. Thanks for sharing this delightful tour. Happy Easter to all the Nelsons.

I believe that all beach access is now blocked due to the tragedy that occurred by the Grand Floridian. I loved the calliope as well! I want them to put that in a Magic Kingdom Parade! That would be epic, and people would love it! Happy Easter! :-)

AAAaahh, we missed you! I didn't look for you guys because I heard that annual passholders were blacked out around Easter. We were just there a couple of days ago--spring break! That's cool to know we were that close to running into you. We ate dinner at the Whispering Canyon--that was a fun place to eat--if you ask for the kids menu (as an adult) --HOLD ONTO YOUR EARS, ha ha!!!! They don't whisper at Whispering Canyon Café.

Loved the video thank you! Was able to see things we have never seen. We go there every visit to eat at Trails End Resturant. The food is very good and not a bad price either. At Halloween and Christmas the decorations are wonderful even the campers put things out at there camp sights. Really fun to just walk around and look at every thing.

They do get black bears. They'll sometimes wander into the campgrounds too so every once in a while you'll see a bear notice posted around the resort.

You have just made me make a wishlist/ resort challenge for when I come back to disneyworld inspired by you guys! - 1 ride one of those horses through wilderness grounds like i saw at the start of this video. 2 try the horse carriage at port orleans riverside 3 have a cocktail at Polynesian resort 4 have lunch at sanaa at animal kingdom lodge 5 walk from disneysprings to saratoga springs 6 catch a boatride from magic kingdom to the floridian for some snacks and the monorail back 7 eat dinner at contemporary (california grill) I guess that would be done over a couple of days when i first arrive with jetlag.

There is a kiosk outside the other side of the entrance that you get the golf carts from. The area across with all the golf carts are where we park for bus transportation to the other parks.

Incredible video as always, Josh! We camp at Fort Wilderness every spring and I have walked that same route many times. FYI, the ruins of River Country are only a few yards past the area for Mickey's Backyard BBQ. Again, great video!!

Yep. If you will go to Google Maps and find Fort Wilderness, you can see that what's left of River Country sits literally right behind the pavilion for Mickey's Backyard BBQ. Keep up the videos! Your channel has become a favorite of our family!

Happy Easter. Thanks for the tour. Did you measure your steps, that seemed to be quite the hike? We did Hoop Dee Doo in Dec 2016 and really enjoyed it, very funny show with corny jokes and lots of fried chicken and ribs. We did the tour of that area also before the show and really enjoyed it, especially the barn.

Very cool. Love your tours, you really go in depth. One slight constructive criticism? You could benefit from some kind of wind baffle for the mic. Something like a micromuff or a knockoff of it might help. Other than that, absolutely a great tour. Thanks for stopping in to look at everything you could get into.

Thank you! Actually, there's a funny story about the windscreen... I actually had an external microphone connected to the iPhone, complete with a really good windscreen (a really nice, thick one because I knew it would be windy). Unfortunately, the iPhone did not recognize the microphone and instead used the terrible internal microphone that is next to the rear camera to record the audio. I didn't realize this until I got home, and I had worked for so long on this video. I was so frustrated, but I did figure out the issue later. I was using an adapter for the microphone, and that adapter had gone bad. So, I'll know not to use an adapter next time, and there shouldn't be any wind noise at all. Thank you so much for watching!

To get a Golf Cart, you must reserve one in advance otherwise they are normally sold out each day

And bring a bicycle style chain and lock, place the chain through the seat handholds and the steering wheel, if you chain it to anything Disney's staff will cut the chain, the keys are so worn out all anyone has to do is stick ANY key to get it going and run off with your cart. They joy ride them until the batteries die than leave it somewhere and late in the night security will be banging on your door with your cart. This makes for a less than magical experience when you spend a long day in a park only to find out you have to walk a mile to your cabin and then woke up at 4am by security.
