Love the fluid movement of the drones as opposed to static images. Best drone show I have seen since the concept was introduced a few years back. Great job with the lighting along the shore line as well!
This is very nice of Disney to give something back to the guests. Disney Springs is the perfect place for this. Thank you Disney and thank you WDW NEWS for sharing.
It was honestly surreal to see The Rocketeer in a Disney show in 2024, even if it was only for a couple seconds. I hope they finally do more with that property.
Disney is at its best when it focuses on the Magic instead of the Message. I hope they do more of this, and I hope this is the first step in getting back on track. Awesome job.
It’s tough to agree when they did shows like illuminations which had an impactful message. I’d like to think they could be great at both and it really just depends on where the show takes place.
You should focus on the magic and not worry about messages that you disagree with. Disney is allowed to tell stories and messages THEY want. If you disagree, then move on to some other close-minded corporation.
Message is very important. Telling that little girl or boy that if they dream and put in the work behind that dream, they can do anything. Or telling people that there are other cultures besides what you see in front of you everyday, or to be understanding of others, are very important messages. Anybody can showcase the latest tech, but the story behind it, is what's important. You might as well say you don't want to hear a message in a song but rather just the instrumental. Same inference that you just stated. So yes, the message is very important!
I have to say I didn't know what to expect with this but it was so good! I really enjoyed they had a storyline and even original music thrown in there. I was impressed by the sheer volume of drones used too it makes for a really great show and I like that it's at Disney Springs so it brings free entertainment to people.
We are going to be there on July 13. Its our arrival day. We had planned a dinner and an evening at Disney Spring long before the show was annonced. It adds a big plus to our evening. So excited!! 🤪🤪. Thank you for the video!
I have been waiting for a drone show over Disney World for a very long time after I saw my first commercial drone arrive at my hobby shop. Here Weeeee Gooooo!!
OMG I like it better than the Electrical Parade drone show in Paris. I saw that once on you tube and was done with it. This one I have watched 4 times already. It was so magical to me. Figment, Elliot and Orange Bird in one show. I never thought I would see that. I love those characters and so glad they were included. This show was magical to me. I love it, I love it, I love it. ❤❤❤❤❤ GREAT JOB BY ALL involved. ❤❤❤❤❤
These drone shows are really incredible. How far we’ve come in a short time with this. My biggest and only gripe is why in gods name would they leave all those lights on everywhere and create so much light pollution it takes away from the show so much.
The other side of the lake isn't Disney springs, it's Disney's Saratoga springs Resort. So they aren't going to dim the lights for all the rooms , walkways just for the show. At the parks they will probably do more for light pollution.
I've gotten to see it, a couple of times, once during the Jaleo Dreams that Soar event (their patio is the perfect place to watch, and the tasting menu was delish!) I think this might be better than Luminous, at EPCOT. oh, and HOLY CRAP, the crowds at the Springs, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday to see this...
🌈OMG this is finally happening!! This is real!! I’ve been waiting for the to do a drone show for so long. They did it and they did it Disney!! Awesome!!
The only thing that would have made it better is if the drones could have animated the explosion of the Death Star. That's the only thing that fell flat. Why ha evthe Death Star battle sequence if it only just disappears
That one stuck red drone light. It happens at 4:38 on Wall-E’s tread and continues to the end of the show. Not a bad error rate for 800 drones. But if there’s a few stuck lights it’ll be pretty distracting. Overall, I like the show. Probably much better in person.
@@GuyGenie73No it doesn’t. I turns red at 4:38. I didn’t mention the cyan sticking earlier then returning to normal. The red is when it goes into an error state. To get stupidly specific, it sticks as the cyan color as Dante is fading away at 4:01 then goes to the correct color at 4:09 for Wall-E. Than at 4:39 it goes to red.
It's odd there's any, might be a programming or communication glitch. I imagine it's easier to fix issues with drones than something like Spaceship Earth. The drones come to you.
People would riot if Disney took away HEA and they aren't going to do 2 shows, especially if they also have a nighttime parade coming. So I seriously doubt this would come to MK. DHS already has Fantasmic and that's not going away. EPCOT has a new nighttime show and it's not going to drop that anytime soon even though I think it's not their best effort by any means. Their best bet is AK...but then again AK doesn't stay open late enough for a nighttime show anymore.
I think the transition is pretty fast (compare to other drone show): certain % of the drones is prep for the next scene. This is an open space so not too fair to compare it to the Paris show (which has the castle as the main subject and drone light to enhance the short stories). It is an open space show so I would increase # of drone, it looks really sparse.
Could have also been for faa regulations as certain things above a certain height require a red light on top or around it, similar to the red light on skyscrapers or the beacon lights on planes that blink.
Seems like Disney Springs is just the testing ground for the tech at the WDW resort. They just need figure out how to make it work with the parks. Yes, Disneyland Paris has it figured out but this is WDW. People wait a lifetime to come to the Magic Kingdom. Let them cook and play around with it for a bit at Disney Springs. If they bring it to the resort parks and its still lackluster then we will have a problem. I consider this an early alpha version for whats to come down the road.
