a. One of Walt’s Nine Old Men, Ollie Johnston was an animator at the Walt Disney Studio from 1934 to 1978. Ollie contributed to just about all the animation features released during that time. Ollie was the man behind Mr. Smee, the Stepsisters, and Prince John. Like Ward Kimball, Ollie Johnston was a train buff and created a backyard railroad in 1949, leading to Walt’s fascination with model railroads and the creations of his own backyard railroad and the inspiration of the Disneyland Railroad.

I had no idea Ollie loved drawing beautiful girls as well as bringing them to life! Dude, I love to imagine beautiful girls! I wish I could draw them though.

I can only imagine that J.K. Rowling would pay a fortune for Ollie Johnston's model train to be placed in a private collection of hers since she is one of the biggest train buffs ever.

A few months before Robin Hood release, the Disney animators needed Sir Peter Ustinov to come back to the Disney Studios to re-record some of his lines as Prince John. The animators made phone calls to New York City, London, Paris, Vienna, and Tokyo, trying to locate Ustinov, only to discover that he was working at the NBC Studios in Burbank that week, a half-mile down the street from them.

RIP OLLIE JOHNSTON animator on Snow White and the seven Dwarfs, Pinocchio, Bambi, Cinderella, Alice in Wonderland, Peter Pan, Lady and the Tramp, Sleeping Beauty, Mary Poppins, The Jungle Book, Robin Hood, The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh and The Rescuers. I remember the movies these person was an animator on.

I remember this man for both men worked on the movies I remember and they are Bambi, Pinocchio, Cinderella, Alice in Wonderland, Sleeping Beauty, The Rescuers, Robin Hood, Peter Pan, The Aristocats and Dumbo.
