I knew that these cards would be available at all the challenge events, it was listed on PPG and Lorcanas official website. But I do understand what you're saying. I do believe they'll sell out. Some people will travel, but not all, and with the comes all of the players local to the area going to the event to check it out.
Watching older vids now lol - but had similar sentiments about Rockstar Stitch and was able to grab a PSA 10 for less than current eBay prices so that was cool. That and the ch 1 enchanteds are the main ones I'm trying to find. Also just collecting all the Stitch cards even if they're worthless cause I like em lol. I actually really like the D100 one and the green safari stitch lol

Hey Anthony I think it varies store to store based how much they order and their distribution rates but $90-$100 I believe is in the range of what they pay.

I love the set long term, I don’t think we will see any crazy price movement in the short term. Great collection additions and long term holds! I have a bunch of them as I really like the art.
When it comes to error cards.. How do you go about deciding what the value of the card should be or in another way how much more over the normal version are you willing to pay? There are some error cards I'd like to collect. It's not really my thing in general but something like crimp cards or errata are of interest to me but i just dont know what kind of premium is considered reasonable from an investment perspective. Thanks for your insight!
Error cards are very unique and unfortunately there is no guide to value. It is the most subjective part of the hobby. With that being said for something like a crimp I would probably be willing to pay 150% market or something. So if it’s a foil legendary that’s worth $40 I would prob be willing to pay $60-$70.
Lorcana needs an online version of the game. And they need more Art types on the cards for the collectors. The enchanted cards are crazy hard to pull and don’t seem to hold value. If they add the online game and more art types Lorcana has a chance to be something for a long future ahead. If not they could just be a quick money grab for ravensberger and they fall off the map in a couple years due to loss of interest. I definitely would not put all my eggs in Lorcana. That livestream they had was bad. Was hoping they would announce that would advance Lorcana forward. Absolutely nothing. NOBODY WANTS TO WATCH THEM PLAY THAT ILLUMINERS quest thing. Yet that was a whole portion of the livestream. That shows how disconnected they are to what the ppl want. They want to promote what they want to sell irrespective of what the ppl care about or want. We will see what Lorcana looks like in year two. We need more Art and an online game. Perhaps even a show. Looks like One piece is here to stay. Great art great game. Online game. So much content around it. Im way more bullish on one piece over Lorcana. But I want Lorcana to do well so bad. Just skeptical of there future. End rant sorry.
Appreciate the comment and I agree with a lot of what you said. They need an online game and to evolve the art over time - but let's give them some time here. Not even a year in and they just rolled out the Deep Trouble box that has some unique art in it. They need to evolve and I think they will, just have to be patient. The deep trouble quest game might not interest you, but it has amazing onboarding potential, they are bringing new products to the TCG space which is really cool. In terms of one piece I have heard great things, I hope it does very well. My family connects much more with the Disney IP so that is where we will probably stay.
Lorcana will be fine. They are building for longterm. Set 5-6 is gonna turn more heads than people think. Until then... enjoy the panic sell off. Lots of great deals.
@@CardboardKingdom same, my wife actually likes Lorcana. Disney has the characters the people know and love. So Lorcana has the potential to really be a great TCG. And a staple in the space. Also it has the opportunity to be a great investment in the long term. Not letting my kids make the same mistake I did with my Pokemon cards 20 years ago not taking care of them. Throwing them away when I got bored. Now a lot those cards go for 1000s some even tens of thousands. SMH. But back then we were kids and Pokemon was new we had know idea. It was just a game. Today Lorcana I think is a fun game. They mastered that part easy to pick up and play. And they have the characters all of us young and old know. They just have to do it right. Like I said they step up the art to match Pokemon and the other TCGs. Textures Alt arts more shiny cards lol and give us the online game. Then they add more content around. I was thinking kingdom hearts would be perfect for this. Just some ideas that could be possible for someone on the team to consider. We don’t know what they are thinking about. Just speculation. But yes I agree you’re right. Let’s give them time and see. But Unless it’s magic It’s the collectors/investors that keep the cards alive. That’s baseball cards basketball to Pokemon it’s the collectors. The arts the rarities the different kinds of rarities autos these things are chased by the ppl and the ppl keep the cards alive in the long run.
Tell your friend to shill bid one to 10k to set a new comp, then shill the other until over 5k until someone comes over the top and stop. If it sells for $7k, it’ll be like he only bought one for $3k. Piece of 🎂.
