Disney NEEDS An Encanto Series 

good idea. Encanto should be continued in a TV series. I'd love to see how Bruno reconnects with his family, and now that the mountains are split I want to see how there village reconnects with the outside world.

Encanto is a great movie with a wide cast which could be focused on individually. I would like to know more about the triplets, they are super interesting. We could get a good background of how alma handled the passing of grandpa, the triplets helping their mother and how they rebuild the village. I also want to see some good slice of life after Bruno came back with touching up on sensitive topics. I also want to know more about Dolores and Isabella. Man, I really want to know so much about the cast 💕

The main premise of a series for Encanto would definitely build upon the characters and develop them more. But to add in a little spiciness and plot, I think they could dive deeper into the magic and miracle and how this magic blessed Alma. We also totally have to see what role Mirabel is playing in her family now that she essentially bettered her entire community.

I think it would have been cool of the family DIDN'T regain their power in the end. So then they could have truly learned what it must have been like for Mirabel. This could also lead into Encanto getting a series; the show could be each them dealing without magic. Rebuilding/strengthening relationships diving deeper into each of the characters. Then in the finale or towards the finale one by one each member gets their power back. 💪: Surface Pressure literally represents my life. Also I love your art style Aloubell.

Something’s the directors have confirmed. • Julieta and Agustín met after Agustín, due to him being accident prone, was a frequent receiver of Julieta’s food. Eventually they fell in love • Jared Bush said that if Disney gave him the green light, he would make an Encanto series. • Lin-Manuel Miranda said he’d be down with writing the songs for it, and he personally wants to see a series solely about Dolores. • Most of the original voice actors said they’d also be down. • Jared Bush might be setting up for something because he’s revealing more information about even characters that had minor parts in the movie, like how Dolores’ room has soundproofing, Camilo trying to ‘figure out who he is’, Mirabel loves doing embroidery, etc. Basically, all we’re waiting for is Disney to give the okay. I’d seriously doubt they’d say no bc if they did they’d be missing out on a major money making opportunity. But, by law, they’re not allowed to until Disney says so. But let’s cross our fingers🤞

This might be something off-topic, but I can't stand We Don't Talk About Bruno. No, it's not bad and I enjoy hearing it at times, but whenever I hear it, I just feel more bad for Bruno. Like he was seen as someone bad just because of his Gift making me really not like the negative stuff said in the song. Again, the lyrics and the music is great and I understand why people like it, but I can't help but seem to dislike hearing it not only because my siblings can be annoying when they sing it, but mainly because of the negative thoughts about Bruno. But that's my opinion, you can ignore this comment if you want.

encanto is the best movie ever and i hope the encanto series revolves around how alma gives birth to the triplets from the first episode and they can show us how they got gifts and the kids got gifts before mirabel and antonio came along.

I agree with all your points. And I definitely think Encanto should get a tv show. Part of what made Encanto so good was how memorable the characters were. With how big the cast is, making a tv show is the perfect opportunity to fully flesh out these characters.

It would be nice to see an encanto TV series, but I also think it's better to leave it be. If it gets a series, I'll be happy. If it doesn't, I won't be disappointed or upset about it

The reasons People gunning for a second movie have put forth include 1. Bigger Budget, thus higher quality and 2. Being able to see these characters again on the Big Screen. If we got an animated series, we’d have a LOT more time with these characters and the people working on it would be able to focus better on characters that didn’t get a whole lot of screentime. (See: Pepa’s side of the family). Plus, I’d be looking forward to seeing the Madrigals in a new art style like we got for Tangled and Big Hero 6!

Disney and me aren't on the "best of terms" 😅 That being said, based on what you have said, a TV series for this movie does sound intriguing! 🤔 Also I'm not sure which one would be my favorite for reasons previously stated 😂

While there are a few problems I have with the movie I just keep revisiting it, I’ve watched it like 5 times since I first saw it in March (I don’t care for Disney so I don’t keep up with the movies releases) I think the main reason is the messages are so beautiful simple and refreshing, I ADORE that Mirabel never turns her back on her family and tries her hardest, I love the triplets and the side characters have just enough character to be likeable but also leaves plenty for imagination. I’m not really into Disney that much but for some reason, even though I don’t strongly relate to it, like what I’ve seen from most fans, I really really enjoyed it and Dos orugitas still makes me cry. I really really hope they make a show, I think it’s popular enough and made enough money for it to be a strong possibility IMO

hey fun fact one of my teachers "Andrés Hurtado García" discovered a "magical" place here in colombia know as "caño cristales" wich is the place that the movie takes inspiration for the encanto (the place), so i would love to see more magical places that I know of colombia taking place in a series and of course see if they put other of those places my teacher have been! pd: sorry if I made any grammar mistakes xd

I would've liked it to be a TV series at its base, but I don't think I'd reallly enjoy a TV series now. THe story of the movie was self-contained. It could've enscompassed a TV series and give time for each character to develop, but it was made in a movie instead, where most characters feel a little squandered in their potential sadly. It's a good movie, but it's also a disappointing movie to me for all it could've been as a TV series. The problem with a TV series is that the main conflict is resolved. They COULD make it so thay small family matters create new coonflicts each episode, but Disney has this habit of wanting to make a big, telegraphed arc thing for the finale of seasons, and that could easily break the story apart. I don't see a TV series being only about the characters and their interactions now that the main knot in the family drama has been untangled.

When I truly enjoyed Encanto cause the way the Family Madrigal were reminded me so much of *mi Familia* , I was so happy how the movie did a fantastic job representing the Latin families/community As for the songs, they were REALLY GOOD, but when I heard them for the first time I didn't feel so connected to it, so when I went to RU-vid and heard the soundtrack in Spanish I was immediately hooked on them. Let me tell you I am a hard-core Disney fan, and I always heard all the songs in English but now Encanto is now the first that I enjoy the songs only in Spanish. BUUUT there is however only ONE song that I preferr in English and that is "Surface Pressure" And on another note Pixar Coco is also the only movie that I enjoy the songs in both English and Spanish At the end, I would like nothing more than Encanto to get a series, so we can see more of the Family Madrigal, but I'm scared that it might get ruined like they did with TANGLED the series (some parts were good, some were bad). Here is a good structure for the TV series: Season one takes place pre-movie, and season two takes place post-movie.

Encanto is SOOO GOOD! I honestly glad that I watched it! It's pretty interesting we can get to know more about their cultural deeper. The music are litterly AMAZING and it keeps you really engaging for all of us! My favorite song is definitely "What Else Can I Do" because I love their sister bonding! (Honestly, We don't talk about Bruno are OVERRATED but it's really catchy and easier to memorize). Oh answer to your question, well it depends if they have enough budget to make a TV series. Also, it would be nice to get to know other characters more, if that makes sense. Btw, have you ever watched Turning Red? I really enjoyed it more. So maybe you can talk about it if you have time because I would love to hear your thoughts!

Am I the only wanting more Bruno and Mirabel bonding in the possible encanto series or prequel?I LOVE THAT DUO SO MUCH

I saw Encanto a few weeks ago. At first, I felt conflicted about it because.. Although I perfectly understood what the movie was about, it was hard for me to see that for the first time, there is no clear villain. No one got even a hint of a villain arc. So around the time la Casita was bering rebuilt, I was sitting in front of my screen like "wait, that's it? No villain?" It took me a bit of hearing other people's thoughts to really learn to appreciate the movie for it's different approach. This video helps me out a lot with that, so thank you. ^^

Yep, I love Encanto too. Good catchy music, relatable characters, and nice message. I can relate to Mirabel a lot. A TV series might be good though I would be more excited for an attraction. Like already imaging, Julietta's kitchen, Isabella's garden room, Camillo's mirror room, Antonio's petting zoo room (hoping I spelled the names right). I will say I do not like Isabella. Yeah we all know now why she acts perfect, yet she didn't apologize to Mirabel for harming her with her gift (family don't do that), but like I said, relatable characters. If you need people for a rendition of "We Don't Talk About Bruno" song, look me up.

I love Encanto because it was the first time I went a theater except when I was 3 years old and fun fact it it's worth in America when I went to the theater but When I saw hamilton I love Encanto even more because Lin was a the lyrics in NY and the Creator when it was released in Puerto Rico and also Lin-Manuel Miranda is Puerto Rica I am a Lin-Manuel Miranda fan.

I super agree with everything you said here! (Even including the part about your favorite Pixar and Marvel movies, because wow, same! That's crazy xD) Even if the story is relatively simple, the cast of this movie is its biggest win for me (other than the amazing songs, of course). The wide variety of characters and their interesting powers and personalities is enough to make for an interesting series, or at the very least a sequel (though I personally think a series would work best, since y'know, more time to develop and focus more characters). Super hoping Disney makes more with this world, because between Encanto and Frozen, I would much rather they explore the lore and cast of this newer movie. Encanto was a closed off village by ring of mountains, so there was no option for new arrivals nor escaping (Bruno said so) at the beginning of the movie, that's why small children were chosen to the exposition song. I assume they weren't interested in Madrigals before. When Casita broke, the mountains "broke" too, thats why Alma was finally able to go to the river. Now new people can discover Encanto, good and bad, which is another thing that could be developed in the show

There are three things about Disney’s cgi movies that bug me. 1)Lack of Villains: One of the most memorable part of Disney movies are the villains, not only do they push the plot forward and promote character development for the mc they also personify the conflict in the movie so when the villain is defeated it means that the conflict is over as well, this useful as Disney movies are relatively easily to understand while leaving the audience with a happy ending. Villains like Ursula and Scar are memorable, Lava giants with not character and old grandmothers who barely do anything are forgotten. 2)Disneys CGI Movies are TV Pilots in disguise: This is evident in film like Moana where they crammed an entire journey through Hawaiian mythology to fill up a series only for the characters development and everything else feel rushed. 3)MC’s that Are Easily Removed:Moana and Maribella could be easily cut and replaced by another character such as Maui or that Doolittle kid.

I feel like others didn't talk about Bruno was because of Pepa because of the wedding misunderstanding Bruno wanted her to let out her emotions because he saw she was nervous on her special day but she misunderstood what he meant and got angry with him and it turned into a hurricane 🌀 and we all when Pepa is 💢 you better expect a hurricane but she still cared about Bruno because when he came back she was the first to 🫂 him meaning his disappearance also effected her as well

When i watch Encanto, i just...squee! So much potential! Not just for a tv series, but remember that Kingdom Hearts Anime idea i brought up back in your Sofia the First review comment section? Well, the first time I saw Encanto, one thought popped in my head. Abuelo Pedro...is a former Keyblade Master like Yen Sid. Only he passed away as he tried to protect his loved ones and seal his home from the negative reprecussions of the Keyblade war. "But Seven" sorry for stealing your gimmick "Encanto is only a recent Disney film, we won't get to see that world until KHIV at least, along with Star Wars and Marvel. Also KHX states that all the worlds are on a weird timeloop, how can you make sense of Nomura's conveluted as heck plot to make such an assumption?" 1. While i can see Star Wars working, Marvel is definitely a no go, and the reason why will be brought up in... #2. Nomura is bound to silence when it comes to bringing up anything that happens behind the scenes of developing the KH video games, so this is admittedly speculation based off of the course of events leading up to now...but i think him adding StarWars and Marvel is a desperate attempt at trying to keep the fans coming to the games because of how much the story had to be rewritten due to equipment issues and Square Enix being very stingy. With each installment before KHDDD you can see the story going in one direction but once DDD released the rewrites started showing. And considering that Nomura already had the whole series written, it was just a matter of what Disney worlds could be seen as thematically appropriate for each particular chapter that each game represented. Honestly looking back at KHUnionX its less of a gacha game and more like Nomura's desperate attenpt to tidy up the plot before things got even more complicated. But regardless KHIII was hit HARD with rewrites due to how long the game was in production and how many delays there had been. But thats why i am wanting to make the anime. The story isnt as unsalvageable as Nomura thinks so there is no need for the fanservicey attempt to try to shoehorn Marvel and Star Wars into the KH Universe. Now again Star Wars can work, especially the idea of Yoda being a former Keyblade Master like Yen Sid. But Marvel is pushing it just a tad too much. But back to Encanto. Let me ask everyone a question. Think back to the events of the first game. Without going meta or breaking the fourth wall, why was Alice chosen as a princess of heart instead of Ariel or heck Mulan, since Mushu was a summonable character from her world? Also why would Maleficent and her fellow villains target Wendy from Peter Pan's world if she wasn't a princess. Again...in universe story specific explanations only. Are you stumped? Alright then allow me to assist with just a simple terminology change. Let's rename the "Princesses of Heart" into "Maidens of Virtue". And now we assign a different heavenly virtue to each known candidate and what do you know? Criteria for Maleficent's 7 needed captives. In order for Maleficent to control all worlds she needs the power hidden within seven maidens who each represent one of the 7 heavenly virtue. Snow White and by extention Anna are Kindness Aurora and by extention Rapunzel are Humility Cinderella and by extention Elsa are Dilligence Jasmine is Charity Alice is Temperance Belle is Chastity Kairi is Peace. Now let's assume out of all of them the Virtue of Peace is the hardest to locate, which given how many female leads in Disney Movies have had an "I want" song it proves not many of them were "at peace" with their at the time current circumstances. So Maleficent, Ursula, Captain Hook, Oogie Boogie, Hades, and Jafar are capturing princess after princess, more worlds have been swallowed by the darkness, and they haven't found a princess with the Heart of Peace. They can't necessarily let them escape and even if they could they have no where to go, so they keep them locked up in the event something happens to their already chosen 6. Mirabel is one of these captured back ups along with Mulan, Wendy and several other maidens who never appeared in the games. Making for a fun little easter egg scene in the anime that retells the events of the first game. As for how Mirabel's Abuelo Pedro could tie into what i like to refer Yen Sid's group of Disney exclusive Keyblade Mentors as the "Grand Sages"...have you seen Abuela Alma's backstory?! KINGDOM HEARTS POTENTIAL...especially if, like me, you feel like the selection for the 7 lights and 13 darknesses for KHIII, didnt...exactly...work? I don't know something about it didn't work with me, another reason why the stench of rewrite wafts strongly in the air. Now lets imagine that the selection of 13 darknesses were as follows...Master Xehanort, Young Xehanort, Xemnas, Ansem Seeker of Darkness, Xigbar, Terra-Xehanort, Saïx, Larxene, Luxord, Marluxia, Vexen, Anti-Aqua, and Riku...not Dark Riku...the newly dubbed Master of the Keyblade in Dream Drop Distance, Riku... The one working hard to redeem himself Riku. The seven lights by extention could have been Sora, Kairi, Ventus, Roxas, Xion, Naminé, and Vanitas. What i see for the anime Reimagining of the Events of KHIII is after Riku gets turned to Xehanorts side in an attempt to save Sora, and while Kairi trains with Merlin, Sora discovers Aqua's Master Keeper Keyblade, it leads him to Ventus's location in Castle Oblivion (which works differently, as instead of Aqua being the only one who can navigate it, it is the one in possession of Master Keeper that can safely navigate the cursed castle) Vanitas following close behind after being tossed aside by Xehanort. Vanitas in a fit of rage wants to end Ven's life. But Sora works hard to fend him off. Even damaging his helmet to find he and Sora share the same face. See i think of Vanitas and see him being a victim of Xehanort's abuse like the Manga depicted him as. After Ven, in his amnesiac state, was sent to Eraqus. Vanitas had to bare the harsh memories that were stripped from Ven, along with having to endure the pain brought about by Xehanort's inhumane method of training. Vanitas thought his pain would have been worth something by the time the final battle happened. Only for Xehanort to deny him the oppurtunity to dish out the pain he had to go through tenfold. I see Van as being jealous of Ven being in a loving and supportive environment while he had to put up with their shitty Master's methods, with no one to turn to for help or support. Cliché? Yes but could work under the right circumstances. Van wants to extinguish the light because there was none in his life. But that isnt true...Vanitas was indirectly effected by Sora's newborn heart repairing Ventus's heart when Xehanort attempted to abandon him on the Destiny Islands. Which is why he and Sora share the same face. Also if Sora could be turned into a heartless, why can't Vanitas be redeemed and fight alongside Sora and Ven? And traveling to the world of the Encanto could be what helps Vanitas get more comfortable with his new friends. I see Yen Sid and all the other grand sages reuniting after 50 yrs, to perform a proper funeral service for their ally, Pedro Madrigal, but because of them forfeiting their keyblades they are limited in magic. So they ask Sora and the other lights to give their condolences to Pedro's family at the Encanto, for them. Alma having known Yen Sid and all of Pedro's fellow keyblade wielders back in their prime. Which leads to the events of the film but with the added risk of the Encanto being swallowed up by the Darkness again when Mirabel and the Candle were taken. Heartless and Unversed managing to slip through Casita's cracks but vanishing when the cracks do. Stirring distrust and conflict in the Madrigal household and the lights. Mirabel and Vanitas bonding over their black sheep status in their respective social circles. Isabella discovering she inherited her Abuelo's power of the Keyblade upon admitting to Mirabel that she hates being the perfect child. And after the Candle burns out Mirabel becomes the new Heart of the Encanto which ties into the ending of the film. Granted Encanto's inclusion would be made into a tiein movie but still. I know this is a lot to take in and the chances of these ideas working are very slim especially since i am still unsure whether my idea for the show would even be greenlit, but these ideas CAN work if i have just the right team of writers and animators behind me to help tell the story. Yeah fans of KH are sick of the rehashed Disney stories. But that depends on how open Disney is with these creative liberties. Remember King Triton's very Sus dialogue in the first game?

yea, I would love it if they made the tv series, &the only plot ideas I know I would want to see happen, is what they can accomplish inspite of their powers, like Julieta working like a real doctor without her food healing abilities(like what's she cooking won't be done, or the house is out of food) or like Luisa with a clichéd storyline, she's worried she might break all the glass products while carrying a porcelain shop(when by the end of it, a butterfly or any kind of small animal cuddles up to her) Camilo worried about what kind of grown-up he wants to be(like a parallel to a middle schooler thinking about their college plans, or what job they might want) with Dolores (which with her power I kinda thought was like a metaphor for somebody who's in the know, or can mean somebody that's considered a gossip girl) it's how she uses her social talents than what she heard to help out others, &something of a finally the village that aduela Alma left, they don't have to give it specifics of why she had to leave(well my working theory, is that crop failures lead to civil unrest, hence that's why she held high regard for Isabela, look even if her power was she just made plants bloom, flowers are vital for there to be fruits& vegetables)just that someone she knew there shows up with their own family(like they're not a Bizarro version of the Madrigal family, I.E. the black sheep of that family, is the only family member that has a magical power) I mean heck that would be interesting enough, that what if the Madrigal came across another magical family? As well as how aduela's home village turned out since she's been gone,

I have to say, I also agree wholeheartedly about the children not knowing the Madrigals being super weird. It completely takes me out of the song, honestly. I mean, they're not a legend, they're the leaders of the village who basically saved their people like two generations ago. You'd think their parents would talk about it, and they'd have seen Luisa lift ridiculously heavy stuff around the village at LEAST once and asked about it, to her or their parents. Because the song is meant as exposition, it literally lowers its quality for me if it's introduced nonsensically. And I mean, it's not hard to do it aother way. Have it be part of the ceremony, a way to honor their gifts and thank the miracle by recognizing what it gave them and how it let them develop.

IMO We don't talk about Bruno is basically like Let it Go. The more you listen to it, the more cringe you feel listening to it. It just can't stop going on and on in my head the moment I first heard it.

Ritsu did have character development it wasn't off screen completely. We did see him become better in the end .

Let me give you my insights on it as a Colombian myself: - This movie is definitely an enchanting one, not gonna lie that the visuals and soundtrack are really good. - There are like a lot of details that couldn't mention here but they in general make resemblance to Colombia in the 50s and also it feels like a homage to Gabriel García Marquez. - The miracle came into fruition because the Liberal Guerrillas started to destroy Alma's and Pedro's hometown, leaving them and the rest of the denizens in misplacement conditions, and all because of an armed conflict that still leaves some scars to this day. Even though Encanto can be considered as a good representation of Colombia, some people inquire that it could have been done better, and I don't blame them as there are some flaws as well: - First, I agree that the movie felt really fast paced and almost everything was solved within the blink of an eye. - Second, due to the former, there it was not enough exploration for the rest of the Madrigals or even the Encanto's denizens themselves. - And, third, the way the movie ended really felt really like misplacing the purpose of the journey of the Madrigals' to be themselves and not feel pressure by either Abuela Alma or the rest of the denizens. I mean, the magical powers could have returned to them, but gradually and not in such a sudden way. - I also felt that some stuff like eating buñuelos with silverware or confusing tinto with coffee were some minor triggers. Also there are other people who argue that this movie doesn't stand any chance against Coco, but Coco is a Pixar movie, so technically it doesn't count, but still, more research could have been done and the outcome could have been a little bit better. I really thank you and all of those who enjoyed the movie. It really makes me proud that you get to enjoy a relatively good representation of our country, and want to explore more about it. If this eventually gets a series greenlighted, it will always be important to first consult the people that collected and lived the history so it could feel like something legitimate that Colombians could enjoy and foreigners could learn of.

I kept feeling like Dolpres, Isabela, and Luisa's arcs were kinda...rushed? A TV show could help to give proper screentime/development to a cast of 12.

I have a thing where you have to be able watch and enjoy 100 percent of the movie at least twice for it to be a great movie, the more times this happens the better the movie. For example, my favourite movie, I have watched like 20 times and haven't been bored once. Anyway, I've watched it 3 times and want to watch it again. This movie is perfect, my favourite character is:🐀 There is this theory that delorous is the villan where she went mad and tried to stop the gifts, I like the idea that she doesn't mind not having a gift. My favourite headcannon is that she feeds Bruno at night and tries to tell every one about how he's still in the house but everyone is just oblivious. Also congrats on your sub count 👏 😄 you really deserve them!

Encanto is probably my favorite movie, so I really enjoyed this review. :D I don’t know if the little children being ignorant is that much of a plot hole as they are little kids who probably live in their own little worlds, if that makes sense. As for Camilo, Disney knows if they included any more of him the internet would explode.

I didn't watch Encanto and I don't plan on it but the concept definitely seems like it needs a series to further expand on what was introduced in the movie. Plus the mouse makes more money so why wouldn't they lol
