I can justify a lot at Disney but these prices are absolutely ridiculous! I just ate at the Grand Floridain Cafe - steak and eggs for $21. At the Boardwalk, Trattoria al Forno is a great value and the food there is delicious. Or head over to Yacht and Beach for Ale and Compass and Beaches & Cream. Also all the restaurants at the Swan and Dolphin are just a boatride or short walk away. I do not see us ever eating at the Cake Bake Shop.

I am a DVC owner and Boardwalk is my home resort. I am disappointed and will not eat there for sure. I could eat breakfast at Trattoria Al for no for that price and it is delicious.

I feel like Epcot would have a great opportunity to bring in small holiday activities throughout the year that are associated with the pavilions and the times those cultures celebrate those events. I just came back from Leavenworth, Washington, which is basically a massive German pavilion but town sized, and they had small events throughout the day for Oktoberfest that Disney could totally pull off like German dances, stein holding competitions, making art with ketchup and mustard bottles, etc. I’m sure all of these pavilions have holidays outside of December that would be fun to see.

I agree with Ryno. There is a price where it almost ruins the experience. If I'm paying those prices I would head to Citricos or something similar and also use my discount. As a DVC owner who likes to stay at Boardwalk, I have wanted more dining options. But not expensive options. I wanted options with quick-service prices or moderately priced options. I'll continue to head to the quick service at Caribbean Beach, the Boardwalk Deli or in the parks and eat sit down at Ale and Compass or Trattoria Al Forno or head somewhere else.

I just booked a 4 day / 3 nights with 2 day park tickets for a stay at Port Orleans French Quarter and got a great deal...Save almost $300 on the package for May 21 to May 24th...So happy they released 2025 Discounts into June. I feel like there are so many food options on the Boardwalk. You might have to go to a different resort, but you have so many free transportation options to get there. Beaches and Cream is not far from that Cake Shop. I know that not everyone can easily do that though. Anyway, stay safe y’all!

My husband and I have been visiting Disney World every year (sometimes twice a year) since 1979. We are (or have been) Disney-philes for many years. But, lately we've been staying away because of the exorbitant prices. The only Disney space (to my mind, anyway) that is worth the cost is Disney Cruise Line. I know, there are no rides to enjoy, but as we've gotten older, we don't enjoy the rides ad much as we did we were were younger. So, the value and exemplary service of DCL is much more appreciated than spending time in the parks. Just my opinion, of course.

I understand the pricing of the cake bake shop is high, but there are other options. There is other options the Swan, and dolphin each each one of those resorts have at least 2 to 3 places to eat at sushi restaurant Mexican, and an Italian restaurant and steak restaurant Shula’s. They also have the reserved swan resort restaurants. If they don’t wanna walk, there is a boat that’ll bring them from the lighthouse. People need to broaden themselves out and need to look for other restaurants that don’t just slap your wallet. Yes you have to go a little bit off beaten path better that than your wallet. The Swan reserve Swan and dolphin are Disney resorts, but they are considered still staying on Disney property but they are Marriott owned.

I think the 40-50% increase is a bit hyperbolic. It is silly expensive at the Indy locations with like $18 for a sandwich meal. But honestly I have been a couple times and not been impressed by anything other than the cakes. It looks like a 12 year olds birthday party exploded inside which might be perfect for WDW. Feel like it would fit better at the GF though.

I personally don't plan on even trying The Cake Bake Shop. However, I am sure there will be a lot of people who will. So many times, we complain about the price, but enough people go, so they are able to survive. I hope enough don't, so maybe they will rethink the prices. But Coke, tea etc. are not being made from scratch and coke used to have a free refill policy. Not sure if they still offer that and restaurants just don't pass it along.

Please don't buy anything from this shop until they lower their prices. It seems like businesses in Disney keep testing the waters with higher and higher prices, and people keep showing up for it. Summer House is super over-priced, but people pack into it anyway and pay three times what the food is really worth. Stop doing that. Please.

I live one town over from the Carmel, Indiana Cake Bake location. This location is pricey, but my goodness.....the Disney prices are ridiculous. I'm afraid this won't stay in business for long. Crazy😵😬😲

I live in Indiana where the original Cake Bake Shop is located. That is what the owner's regular prices are. It's always packed and hard to get reservations. I go to celebrate special events. Disney has no control over these prices. It's up to the owner of this shop.

Here at the Indy location I paid $18 for a slice of hummingbird cake to treat myself after a 5k.

The prices are about what I expected if not a bit under. The prices at the stores in Indiana are about $17 per slice so this is only a few dollars more, and most entrees are mid $20s to mid $30s. Sides seem to be the same price. Expected higher prices at a major tourist spot like this so it seems in line. It is crazy prices but in line with what was expected.
