So glad your supporting the theatres!! I’m seeing the Heathers production in Piccadilly Circus (once again! 😂😂) on Monday before it wraps up. I really recommend checking out & Juliet if you get a spare moment. It’s a jukebox musical like Mama Mia but with Max Martin Hits. I hope you had an amazing time in London! ❤️❤️
I came over from Norway with my mom, a friend of hers and my 19 year old niece at the beginning of September to stay over a weekend in London, we went to see the Frozen stage musical show on September 2nd and we all absolutely loved it! The kids in the beginning as young Elsa and Anna were fantastic, as was Samantha Barks and Stephanie Mckeon playing their adult roles respectively, especially Mckeon, she was the one mostly resembling her animated movie character down to a t, she really brought Anna to life! It was quite crowded at the theater when we were there so we unfortunately never made it to the merch stands, so we never saw what they had for sale (I've seen in other vids that there is a nice magnet for sale and I'm a bit bummed I didn't get to buy one as I am a huge magnet collector) but my niece and I both ended up with the programs and the bigger thin book that basically tells everything about how Frozen came to be, from the original Hans Christian Andersen fairytale it's based on (The Snow Queen) to how the stage production first came to life in the US and making its way to other countries such as the UK, Australia, Germany and Japan. All the song performances are fantastic and I love the new songs, they really fleshed out the story this way and helped explain Elsa and Anna's relationship moree than we get to see in the movie. Great review of this fantastic musical! :)
I completely agree with your review. I travelled from Copenhagen to London to watch the musical based on my favorite movie at the end of June 2022 and I was really impressed. I was literally at the edge of my seat when Samantha Barks performed Let It Go. Sarah O'Conner played Anna in that show, and she really took the role as a real Disney Princess. Everything about this show is Disney magic at its best.
Thanks for the great review, this is definitely on my list of shows to see now that theatre has reopened! My first trip back to the Theatre will be next Friday to see "Everybody's talking about Jaime". P.s. Congrats on hitting 60k subscribers on this channel!
Hi Shaun Thanks for posting this video. It really was a great watch. I'm wanting to take my daughter to see this musical later on in the year, so it's great I can listen to an honest review and see the extras you have shown like inside the thearte and the merchandise. I watched your brick or treat video for Legoland (pretty sure you dome one) before we went to Legoland ourselves, which again was a really good watch and insight. I've just returned from the Lion King in London which was phenomenal. Thanks man Ash
Thanks Shawn for this video - makes me so excited - we’ve got tickets to see Frozen with our kids just before Christmas! Also so glad to have discovered this second channel of yours 😊
Im laugthing cause me and my mum went to a show today " Magic Goes Wrong " and you also went to a show :D! hope you enjoyed frozen the musical! i never knew that was in the UK
I absolutely love musicals, Frozen is an amazing musical, however my favourite is Joseph and the amazing Technicolor dream coat in the London Pladaium which is in Oxford Street :))
Hi shawn, im going on sunday to see this show, really cant wait. I loved your review, the theatre looks amazing. Ive heard alot of reviews that say altho the show is fantastic its kind of ruined by unruly kids and drunk parents in the audience!.. did you find that to be the case?. Im excited to go and see it anyway, i will head for the bar with the trees and garden theme, that looked so cool . Thanks for sharing. X
Brilliant video Shawn! I hope you bought one of those cute backpacks for Charlotte ❤ ❄. Our theatre in New Mills is set to open soon for pantomime and we have the old seats from Dury lane recently installed, our last show before the lockdown was The Sound Of Music and our cast recieved a very kind letter and bouquet of Flowers from Sir Lloyd Webber. Thankyou for the video, made me abit emotional being a performer myself. Lovely to see filled seats. 😀
well done at the West End in London to see Disney's FROZEN The Musical! In this vlog, I make way to the beautifully refurbished Theatre Royal Drury Lane to watch this spectacular new show. Join me as I share my thoughts on FROZEN The Musical along with taking a detailed look at the merchandise for the show. I also take a walk around this magnificent theatre after its huge refurbishment!
I saw the show last night!! Spent £63 total on the merchandise!! Tshirt was £35 Tote bag was £12 Pin was £10 Programme (which I’ve been collecting since I was 6) was £6 Was in the stalls myself and loved it!! I was in tears at the end
I remember the theatre royal Drury lane was the old look before the new look and I seen Shrek the musical in 2012 then charlie and the chocolate factory in 2013
FUN FACT: BOTH MY SISTERS AND I WENT TO THE SAME HIGH SCHOOL AS OLIVER ORMSON WHO IS IN THE WEST END CAST OF FROZEN AT THEATRE ROYAL DRURY LANE. HE PLAYS HANS
Birchwood Community High School have launched the careers of some huge stars including Yemisi Oyinloye from ITV’s Cold Feet, George Sampson (Britain’s Got Talent, Waterloo Road, Everybody’s Talking About Jamie (West End + UK Tour), Ellie Norton (Liverpool Empire Youth Theatre), Oliver Ormson (Back To The Future The Musical, CATS (Leicestershire outdoor venue revival), Frozen The Musical, Addams Family Comedy Musical)
2 other interesting facts I forgot to include 1. My sister Rachel lived with Yemisi 2. My dad went to the school where they filmed Waterloo Road as a young man
This is my opinion only but when Disney stays in its lane, this show is probably amazing. When they took over the MCU and Star Wars ... phony inclusion and wokeyness completely destroyed the canon of these established artistic endeavors ... Disney, please stay in your lane!
