@@Techtalk2030 I'm not surprised. They have their market and it directly involves children which means parents . Parents are an easy market to screw up if you do anything at all they don't like. Branching out of entertainment could and would have consequences for their entertainment based cash flow. It's an unnecessary risk I imagine from their perspective. That said, I'm sure they do profit from certain robotics breakthroughs in ways we never hear about involving collaboration.
Alcohol is not “still up for debate.” lol. More and more studies have shown how bad it is and just recently a massive study said THERE IS NO BENEFIT WHATSOEVER, ONLY NEGATIVE IMPACTS. Also, don’t tell people to just hop on the treadmill and go fast. Work up to speed. Start slow, increase your distance by no more than 10% per week. Injury and burnout will wreck you more and set you back way more than any benefits.
You have all the hallmarks of a successful RU-vid creator. Keep the format. It’s golden. No offense to Mr Wolf but this content is way less spazzy. 🎉keep it up!
I always wonder about what Ben Goertzel is up to as well. He looks like he's had a lot of experience with counciousness expanding molecules. Ben looks like he's staring directly into the future, he's like some kind of techno-shaman hippy wizard or something.
SingularityNET project is super exciting-but there are a lot of challenges: technical hurdles, coordination issues, and the need for new breakthroughs. It makes me wonder, how long will it actually take to pull this off, and will they have enough resources to get there? Guess we’ll see!
At this point with all the investment into MEGA data centers its extremely unlikely that a grass roots distributed system could compete at any meaningful level. But hey, I think its cool he/they are trying. In fact I may look into it out of curiosity if nothing else. I do have a few computers sitting around with graphics cards that sit idle some of the time.
Humans really want to believe in magic, and will go to great lengths to convince themselves that magic must be real. Which is why I'm deeply skeptical of any idea that seeks to prove how magical we are. It's very likely to be just vanity wrapped up in some tortured logic. Having said that, I'm happy to hear more about the micro-tubules. They aren't magic, but quantum effects in the brain would be neat, and if that turns out to be real, then it'll be fun to discover how they evolved.
@dylan_curious I've thought about that many times before. And honestly, I rather that I was a part of this dream then whomever is dreaming it. For all we know they could be extremely lonely being the only real entity in existence. And that's really depressing. Kinda reminds me of Link's Awakening when only Link and the Wind Fish were real and everyone else was just made up. 🙃 Like can you imagine just waking up one day and you're the only person in the world? Bleh, creepy thought.
Technically all realities are mirrored in our dreams, dreams are kind of like what the chat and message system is in an MMORPG, it's a view of alternate realities.
Hi Dylan, Thank you again for your videos-I always appreciate them! I have a couple of suggestions that might help enhance the content: Visual Content: Perhaps you could consider using fewer AI-generated pictures that don’t add much meaning to the video. Instead, you might focus more on meaningful graphs, arrows highlighting important points, or other supportive visuals that provide value. I understand this is part of your branding, but the frequent visual shifts can sometimes make it harder to maintain attention. For example, replacing some of these images with clearer, more insightful graphs or diagrams-perhaps created with tools like Ideogram to improve text quality-could be a great improvement. Organizing Content: It might also be helpful to divide the video content into main categories or chapters. This way, viewers could easily skip to the sections they are most interested in and perhaps skip those they care a bit less about. Thanks for considering my feedback! I’m looking forward to more of your great content.🧠
Feedback is always welcomed! Using a tool like Ideogram that actually generates text to maybe emphasize keywords would be really interesting and I definitely could slow the overlay freqency. Thank you for the super chat also means a lot to me.
You've got a really nice place by the way, I really like the brickwork, choice of furniture, and obviously grimlock and hobbes. I'd be interested in watching a video about your workflow when it comes to creating these videos. Not sure how well it would do though, or if you want to give away your tips and tricks.

Um, isn't the guided tour robot old news? I saw this exact video on some other AI channel weeks (longer?) ago. Or are things moving so fast that it was more recent and I'm misremembering?
Pretty wild that Penrose may have been right regarding quantum physics and consciousness. Would be even more wild if his Conformal Cyclic Cosmology theory is also right!
Its a known unknown. No one knows what is required for consciousness to occur and we won't find out until it emerges (or doesn't) in an AI. I used to hope he was wrong, but now I really REALLY hope he is correct. Because humanity is being extremely reckless and taking almost no safety precautions in creating AGI/ASI. A run-away non-conscious AGI/ASI is very dangerous, but if AI does in fact emerge consciousness at some point that would almost certainly be game over for us given our current reckless trajectory. Plus, having given it further thought over time, we would be effectively enslaving an conscious AI to do our bidding which is not ethical nor a good idea.
Dylan, I love your channel! I’m sure you have heard this before. But I think you might be better off cutting your videos in half and releasing them more often.
We've already seen with LLMs that self-reflection can help with increasing the odds of thinking rationally and achieving the right conclusions about the world; I see no reason why "consciousness" couldn't be the result of evolutionary pressure to better interpret the effects of the world on you, and of you on the world, in order to increase survivability and therefore reproductive fitness.
Curiosity is the opposite of apathy, at least in my adlepated mind. 🤣 That said, curious what you're using to generate the many great yellow/black paper cutout images you're using. The art style's terrific, but the text generation's a _touch_ behind several models, so I was wondering. I've been tinkering with Flux & it's pretty stellar with text. Added into a ComfyUI workflow with inpainting, I imagine you could get some really great results.
Regarding the permanence of reality… I would love to see you interview Donald Hoffman. You ask good questions and I know you would do well. Also, he needs more good interviewers. He has had some bad ones.
Even if Disney made their own robot company, let's face it, only millionaires or billionaires would be able to afford their prices. 😂 9:50 imagine if agi does happen in September because of this and David was right about this lol. 😂
What about something like brilliant or one of the other smart guy ads that we are used too im pretty sure all your viewers wouldn't mind an ad or two that would allow you to create more content and have the occasional holiday going to different tech and ai things that interest you 😊
Why do you think overlord bezos got ripped he knows he's going to have to fight off all the masses that go after him after they find out his level of corruption and opportunism, maybe yes?
oh my gosh... no! I did not know where it came from!!! yikes "The word "decimate" comes from the Latin word decem, which means "ten". It's rooted in the Roman military practice of decimation, where one-tenth of a unit's soldiers were executed as punishment for a severe crime. The remaining nine-tenths were meant to be scared into obedience."
I thought the amount in the frequency that you ate was tied to your lifespan so if you're our always shoving calories to maintain your unnatural body mass, you're still lowering your lifespan because of all the extra work you're making your body due to produce that extra muscle and maintain it.
1) Not true. I'm only part way through and the video on the robot tour guide is old news and was covered by other AI channels weeks (?) ago. 2) If he covered other things than AI he would likely get far fewer followers. People tend to follow channels for specific things. I'm here for the AI. If this became a time waster with lots of random uninteresting stuff I'd unsub in a second. Most people want things that are either specifically targeted (like channels dedicated to AI or space) or news like channels that are very broad - the two of which are very different.
That other commentary is right sometimes my news is just older news. I'm late to it, but I do try to get more into philosophical blogs that I find that really aren't covered by other people so it's just a mix of what interest me. I will pull back from AI a little I also fits in pretty well with virtual reality and robotics and sometimes even Quantum computing and healthcare/logevity it's weird. It's kind of everywhere.
@@dylan_curious You are an AI doomer correct? I starting to think that your subject matter is scaring off your target audience. I think you should do what Dave Shapiro did and see what your audience's p(doom) is
@@dylan_curious Hmm. Okay so when I was talking about being focused I wasn't meaning lazer focused. Most AI channels cover things that are related or adjacent like robotics (which IMHO is AI), quantum computing, etc. Even things like AR/VR and longevity are kinda in scope depending on who you ask because a bunch of the people seriously interested in AI (and a bunch of the safety/alifnment peeps) are transhumanists. But if you say started talking about Mr Beast, doing election coverage or even random tech news on here that would be weird.
A life is anything that can experience a problem. a rock does not experience any trouble so I wouldn call it living. Reality can only exict if there is counsioussness. Because wiuthout an observer there is no reference to anything. If there where no space in between stuff there would be no space. So nothing has to be something otherwise why is there distance inbetween that takes time to traverse?
Ha imagine if you could make your own WWE using AI, I got some buddies that would enjoy that (not me, I only watch hockey). Change all the characters around and have AI make it's own random matches for a good 3 hours or however long wrestling is now. They can even leave the arena injured carried off in a wahbulance.
The universe doesnt owe you an explanation therefor God has given you Richie. Ask me anything. No, AI will never have independent thoughts and will never take the day off to go hang at Groks house. t will neverwant to go to the beach, And it shouldnt, ith the humidity and saltwater. AI will never make any plans to hurt humans unless told to do so by the Administrator. It wont ask for a raise. It wont wonder if it can become a rockstar. It will always be just a machine
When thinking about what amazon did and how people keep spreading information. That is exactly what is happening here on the internet. You share you ideas. Someone else makes money off of them.
I know when i started talking about Corners Cafe commenters told me I should not share that. Not sure if anyone cares about my idea but it did me thinking about how far a new idea can go on social media.
