Sorry if this is an odd question but I would love to follow you on other social media. Do you have any other public social media? Your videos are great and I also have a lot of fun doing casts of existing projects and these Disney live actions. Totally understand if you don't. And I was gonna say maybe live action Hunchback but that's a tough one HOWEVER it would be very interesting.
@@insertnamehere3971 I did try an Instagram a few years ago before I went on a long youtube hiatus, but I haven't been on since...maybe I'll give it another try in the future :) Thanks! I've been think of doing Hunchback...
I forgot to mention this but an Atlantis: The Lost Empire cast would rock, it's one of the live actions I really want to see. Someone like Justice Smith as Milo would be great.
@@marialuisaesquilin1766 I'd so love that just as much as the next person, but we have to admit that she is older now. She does look significantly younger than her age but they'll probably want someone young enough 😢
I actually think it's very smart to cast a male model as Naveen or any Disney Prince because we all know that one of the biggest Must Haves are they have to be handsome and yeah if the male model can't act they can just get him an acting coach 😂 so I agree and I like how you think lol 🤣
To capture the female audience the acting skill and charisma of the male lead is super important, so I disagree (no idea about his acting skills, just talking in general).
HAILEY KILGORE!!! THANK YOU!!!!!!!! I’ve literally been saying this for years. In fact, I was on her Instagram live a couple years ago and told her that if they ever do a live action movie of The Princess and the Frog that she would be perfect for Tiana, so she started singing “Almost There” on the live for us 😭🙏🏾 When I saw people fan casting a couple days ago I went ahead and built a resume for Hailey and tagged Disney in it on Twitter 😭 I felt that the person who should play Tiana needs broadway experience since Disney was modeled after Broadway, and those vocals?? C’mon now! And fun fact: Hailey plays the younger version of “Jukebox” on Power while Anika Noni Rose (the voice actress of Tiana) plays the older version of her! It’s just perfect all the way around!
This is my fav animated movie ever and I never saw a casting so good as this one, especially for Tiana, loved that girl. Also, agree abt Mackie, I always thought this role must be his. The only one I kinda don't fully see it is Naveen, that man has a big hold on me since I was a little girl watching and up to this point I still haven't seen someone that brings me his energy, maybe some unknown actor out there somewhere? haha
Potential live-action adaptation In January 2022, Jennifer Lee revealed that Stella Meghie, writer and director of Tiana, wanted to develop a live-action adaptation of the film.
you KILLED this video lol i saw the jenna ortega stuff too while looking for a vid like this, someone even coming out with an exclusive that shes confirmed to be in it and a quote shes thankfu and something about diversity... and the fancasts are soo ass, anyway subbed u make great content!! :)))
Oh by the way, I love Hailey and think she's a good pick but I could also see Joy Woods....she's also on Broadway and just gives off a perfect vibe for the role to me. She's also super talented!
I feel like Jennifer Hudson would make a good princess Tiana as well based on her performance on American idol, but the casting is perfect hope Disney would do right by casting these actors and actresses.
Im gonna be honest dove cameran being fan casted as Charlotte is probably the most smartest and most real fan casting and the only one I actually agree with cuz from what we have seen from her in liv and Maddie she does have the acting chops for it and I can definitely hear her voice but look wise I can’t see it maybe if had her face from young face when she was on Disney still but not now
I think Chloe Bailey (Halle's sister) would be perfect for Princess Tiana cuz she has the spirit of Tiana and her voice almost sound like Tiana. With autotune and stuffs, her singing would be too perfect
@@thegoattvletsgo2749 yea but Chloe's skin is more darker, which makes her suits more with Tiana and she have once sang 'almost there' from the princess and the frog.
Not every character is going to be like the animated version Halle Bailey is going to be doing a great job at being Ariel 🧜🏾♀️ The Little Mermaid and rock 🪨 at it
WHAT A PERFECT CASTING! Princess and the frog is my all time favorite disney princess movie and hope Disney doesn’t ruin it. Who’s your casting for Mama Odie tho?! Haha
For the remake, I do love the idea of seeing more of Naveen's kingdom rather than it just being mainly for fairy tale purposes, though. It was kind of uncomfortable hearing about your feelings concerning Jasmine's casting, though; being "too white/colored" is a horrible statement many mixed-white people have to hear. If people weren't happy with Naomi being casted despite not being of middle-eastern heritage, that's one thing, but saying that her being half white means that she can't play the role of Jasmine as a result was pretty hurtful.
Why Pocahontas is never mentioned as a Disney "princess" of color. The native Americans always get the dirty end of the stick. This melanin mindset is truly getting old. Cartoon to live action translation has become a battle ground for decades. No wonder we hate each other...we should have been born with feathers or fur...then perhaps we would get along. I enjoyed your channel..but these trival subjects are bringing down the perspective. Wishing you lots of success in the future...I am a fan!!
Melanin mindset??? Actual native Americans don’t fck with that movie because it romanticized Pocahontas life when it wasn’t like that she was young and was traded against her will
I don’t think CoCo Jones is a bad choice at all I saw a video of her singing “almost there” and it was beautiful. But Hailey Kilgore is perfect she has that Tiana face and I only have seen her in clips of once on this island and she’s amazing. That being said I don’t need this movie. I love Tiana but did not like that story and nobody wants to see a beautiful dark skinned princess turn into a photorealistic frog for most of the movie, ugh. If they do it it better be a sequel or complete rewrite.
I actually like that choice and I also think the girl who plays the Black Panther sister from marvel studios, would also be really good as princess Tiana for the live action, princess and the frog
Please use the original cast of the princess and the frog it's bad enough they ruined "Hakuna Matata" in live action version of "The Lion King" Please don't mess this one up too!!
Sorry to say this but Halle Berry was not right for the role for the upcoming Little Mermaid and I did not watch the movie by the way I am black and I am saying this that she is not right for the role she can sing she can act but she would have played another mermaid if Disney wants to be diverse in my Dreamcast for Live Action Princess and the Frog the actress that played in in 20 Century Fox TV series star Ryan destiny
The Princess and the Frog (Live-Action - Fan Casting) - Coco Jones (Let It Shine) as Tiana - Yasen Atour (The Witcher) as Prince Naveen - Anthony Mackie (The Banker/Captain America: Brave New World) as Dr. Facilier - Mauro Castillo (Encanto) as Louis the Alligator - Chris Brown as Ray the Firefly - Angélique Kidjo as Mama Odie - Jamie Foxx (Spider-Man: No Way Home) as James - Anika Nono Rose (The Princess and the Frog/The Quad) as Eudora
100% on board with Anthony Mackie as dr facilier. He would absolutely crush it. It'll be interesting to see him as a villain too in contrast with his new Captain America role.
I like that you acknowledge the nuances between mixed/light skin/dark skin black ppl. I feel like most people (esp. Americans) have a tendency to lump them all into the same category regardless of skin tone or racial background and forget they don't all share the same culture & ethnicity. Its quite annoying actually, just like how a British black person varies from an African, also varies from an American, etc. Same with personality and mannerisms, this almost always gets ignored & there's just this default that everybody tends to think black people automatically fall under. And it's usually based on some stupid racial stereotype. This really gets lost in translation between Hollywood & people's ignorance towards race & how people act/present themselves. Like I don't understand how ppl have suggested Halle would be more suitable as Tiana (than Ariel) when her & that character don't really possess the same demeanor. Tiana has a lot more sass & soul, I don't see that in Halle at all. Just weird that ppl believe any random black actress can play the role of Tiana just bc...they're black.
Please recast love action Beauty & the Beast. Emma was just not Belle 😭 and although Naomi was pretty as Jasmine I felt she, like Belle, was so cold. Although Halle was controversial, I honestly felt her spirit, warmth, and voice radiated Ariel.
6:24 Why do people want Florence Pugh to be in everything. People are so ignorant to the actors of the world. Black person: Zendaya, Amandla, and other lightskins White persona: Florence, Timothy, Tom, and the Chris’ Like there are millions of the actors in the world. Come on guys 🙄
This makes me so happy because Hailey Kilgore (Jukebox) is my #1 choice, and she has been my #1 choice. Her voice is perfect and her look is spot on. My #2 choice is Sierra McClain. I'm tired of seeing Coco Jones and Ryan Destiny as fan casts. Although they are beautiful and talented, they don't give Tiana. Coco's voice is too low. She sings in a lower register and Ryan just doesn't hit for me. Your Prince Naveen is perfect! I was rooting for Rome Flynn, but your fan cast is GREAT! My fan cast for Shadow Man was always Jamie Foxx because he can sing and play that dark role. My fan cast for Mama Odie is Cassie Davis. She has the voice and the exact look of her. ❤
