Disney can cast any movie any way they like. But they talk over and over about Diversity. Black people are approximately 13% of the US population. Yet 3 out of 7 characters are black. That’s closer to 45% of the characters. How is that diverse. Where are the islanders, the Arabs, the Aleutian’s and Asians. Down’s syndrome. Why isn’t one magical creature in a wheel chair or missing a leg or transgender. I don’t see any pink or blue hair. I’m very very disappointed.
So a whole new move that use the name of a loved move to get people to watch. Just change the name. Drop snow white and replace it with a new name. They already changed the dwarf part and most of the story.

Stories adapt and change a bit. Thats the nature of the art. But its a fine line of RESPECTING a beloved classic and remaing true to it. Going into it with the intention of respecting what is loved about the original is paramount for its success. I cant believe that this basic understanding is not understood by professionals.

That’s a slap in the face to an iconic and treasured piece of literature. The story has been passed down along generations since 1836. Changing it makes no sense. Just make a new movie and character if you insist on changing it this much. No Prince Charming, no dwarves, and her skin isn’t pale. What’s next? Are her and the evil witch going to have some kind of “women support women” moment and become best friends?
If they had actually used little people it would have given so many who are trying to act the opportunity to be seen and potentially more jobs. Its crazy how the one guy wants to complain but he's rich and gets jobs..

Disney was the one who made people dream of fairytale love. Now they r killing it with their own hand. It's a shame what Walt Disney beautifully crafted is now getting destroyed by his own legacy. If they r that desperate to go woke why don't they make original movies instead of butchering the classics.
To summarize: Random orphan princess fights for her right to the throne against evil step mother with the help of seven random people (who may or may not be magical). Doesn't really sound like Snow White to me.

well the ting is, Li doesn't actually exist in the real poem of Mulan(木兰辞） which the movie is based on. However, pretty sure the prince exists in the story of snow white.

I was totally fine with Ariel, I actually like the movie. But this? This looks ridiculous. NOT EVERY MOIVE NEEDS REPRESENTATION!! Especially a freaking FAIRYTALE. Of things that ARENT REAL. I’m a gay biracial guy and this kind of shit is getting ridiculous. People can’t make ANY movie now without making everyone happy. Both sides will be mad about something. Can we just stop making movies for political reasons?? It makes me not even want to even want to watch anything anymore.
this was a perfect chance to give 6 people with dwarfism a chance play in a role of a lifetime and possibly have a career in Hollywood. instead lets just give a bunch of average nobody's a role in a movie.
