I can't believe it took THAT LONG to create a building with chairs in it and a garden with trees and benches ... the entire change is underwhelming for how long it took. This should have been done in less than a year. Why did it take, 4 -5 years??? And don't give me "covid"! Universal is almost done building an ENTIRE new park that will be completed in less than 2 years!!!
@@CobraKai63The Empire State Building was built in the middle of Manhattan almost 100 years ago in just one year. There is no excuse for this much time and money with nothing to show for it.
As an out of state visitor, a day such as this would be a total waste of money to drive hundreds of miles to get here. Locals and once every year visitors have different perspectives. Communicore seems a waste of good space.
Hi, local here. I'm absolutely disgusted with what Disney has done to WDW over the past 10 years. Absolute abomination. What a waste! If they think these things are going to secure people coming in the future then they're going to have their ASSES handed to them because there's nothing to do, no vision for imagination, no inspiration, no amazement. Ripped out what worked and replaced it with lunchrooms and empty courts to walk in. Star Wars is a flop. Pandora sucks and takes forever to get to. Tomorrowland is old tired and outdated. Everything sucks.
@brad349miller My last visit in 2019, I thought the Skyliner did a lot to hurt the theming magic. It opened everything up and must've cost a fortune to build. I watch things from afar nowadays and just shake my head.
The big problem was buying FOX, or at least paying too much for it. It put them in a bad financial position they still haven't recovered from. The Epcot renovation directly reflects the effect it had on the parks. They had to cut a lot and couldn't afford to work on the parks during shutdown.
Imagine what it would be like if the Iger Company could swallow its misplaced pride, admit they’ve been exploiting Walt’s legacy to indoctrinate children into deviant lifestyles, and reversed course on their “woke” crusade. I’m a lifelong Disney fan, but the current management, along with a slew of demented employees, have probably doomed it for good. They were handed a platinum brand and destroyed it so thoroughly that no one trusts it any more. Just look at the lack of guests in JUNE! Most people get what’s happening and want nothing to do with this perversion of a once great company. The Iger Company is on life support and next year Epic Universe will come along and pull the plug. Oh, and as with anything this company does these days, this Epcot “reimagining” is a pile of hot garbage. I’ve seen better interior design in the local mall.
I love what Ron said, Universal has now all the connections with Kids having Mario, Minions, Harry Potter and How to Train a Dragon. Now if they can somehow get some Godzilla contract with an experience since they have Kong would be amazing and a cash cow due to the love of Godzilla in Japan that has 125mil people there. Plus the love here for Godzilla
Adam ive been following you for 12 plus years now ,I always look forward to your vlogs ,a few timee im my life I need them more than ever ,I had a bad heath scare three weeks ago(heart attack)at 48 years old, being off work these vlogs keep me spirted, you have done this serval times in these years,I hope you relize that what you do is a staple in alot of lives,(fit by 50 brother)!!
I'm 48 as you I had heart surgery when I was 16 I was born with a hole in my heart size of a nickel, I learn to do some exercises, I was in highschool at the same time as my heart surgery had gym class half of the year. Hope you take care of yourself. I know heart attack is scary. Thanks for sharing.
Oh look a concrete bench , wooden slats on the ceiling ! Oh look Epcot emblem on the dispenser on and on and on with the obvious 😂😂😂 I was having trouble sleeping until now 😂
Can’t believe what they got rid of for planters and a cafeteria looking area. It was cool with the fountain how they added different water from the different nations and the show it would have.
Finally those WALLS are down!! Love that you can sit in AC, at the Comm. Hall Center, Looks real nice 🤩cannot wait to go! But, Oh all the "Flower & Garden" flowers are Gone!! 😟I wonder what they did with all of them...🏵🌺🌻hopefully put them somewhere else...they were so Beautiful...Nice Day. Thank You!! again..Glad to see you back in Florida🌴🌴☕☕
Communicore hall looks more like a bland Apple Store . 5 yrs or so even with a pandemic and that’s all they did? Kind of underwhelming . Hopefully during festivals it adds more life to it.
At 4:55 because of you Adam, exactly a week ago today, last Tuesday, my son and I were at Epcot Center and did the same reflection picture. You started that tradition for us. Over the years I’ll take a picture with my son until he gets older and maybe have a montage of him at different ages, he’s 9 right now. So every year until he’s 50 we’ll take a picture 🙂
@stephenthomas2293, why stop at 50? 🤔 🤷🏽♀️ Take those pictures with your beloved son as long as you can! What an awesome memory indeed! Happy upcoming Father’s Day to you! 🥰🏰🥳🎉
We missed you on this visit. We were there too to see the new Communicore Hall and things. This was the last day we rode Test Track and get really wet before we got off since it started to rain while we were riding it. Fun memory made that day.
Been going since the late 80s and this new area in Epcot is just bland and boring. I miss the InoVentions East and West, and the large Fountain. Epcot was always part fun and educational, now not so much.
It is bland for sure, but so was the original Communicore buildings. I went to Epcot on day one, Oct 1 1982 and much of those buildings were left partially empty for years. The same premise back then is true for Communicore today: A flex same that will be ever-changing. I am not saying I like it, because I would rather see an attraction put in there rather than a meet-and-greet, but it does keep the original intent of that area. But I do wish they still had those fountains as you do!
Total Disney flop. They are really struggling and should be worried about their competency at this point knowing that Universal has their actual talent
I went to Epcot for the first time in the summer of 1983 when it was still known as Epcot Center. It's really changed since that time without a doubt. It had only been open for about 6-7 months. I can only remember " The World Of Motion" "The Living Seas", The Land, Universe of Energy with the REALLY LARGE Animatronic Dinosaurs that you rode through. I think Exxon sponsored it , but don't remember for sure. This ride was replace by the Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind Roller Coaster that uses the inside space where the Dino's used to be. And naturally, the Giant Golf Ball" Space Station Earth. I would pass out in the heat now...and too many people to deal with. This is why I like to watch these vlogs...I can sit and watch them from the comfort of my house and not melt in the Florida heat.
The new corporate headquarters-inspired overlay of Epcot and the beige hotel rooms. Disney is dead and boring. You had me for 40 years Disney now it's time to say goodbye… I'm so happy I didn't renew my pass and became a Universal Passholder.
I'll always miss what it used to be & there's def some missteps like the lack of shade.... BUT, I tell you what, you'll find me in that building most of the summer too, never going to complain about more seating/AC options. Also, that monorail candy dispenser/pencil holder is so dope. Thanks Adam!
Communicore used to be the place in the front of the park where you made your dining reservations. If you passed it sometimes you couldn’t get anything to eat.
Hey Adam, really appreciate your editing with the JAMMitors in this video. Gave me the feeling of being there, watching them for a bit, and then walking around the park and hearing the rhythms in the background. Good touch!
This is why Dollywood is now beating Disney World. It took that long to make everything look the same. Theres nothing appealing to a kids eyes. Everything looks cold
Hi Adam you and your youtube friends cheer me up. My parents are gone and it gets lonely. Im disabled and they both took great care of me and when my dad died in 2003 i took care of my mom and enjoyed her company. be safe Vickie😊
I can't wait to go back to EPCOT. Was there last August, and the walls were so bad. Made the park so much more annoying to walk around. Living in Arizona, it’s expensive to make my way to WDW. Hopefully soon!
Love both items you purchased Now that I am feeling a little better health-wise, I am resuming my Snow White hunt. I need her more in my life and my 3 yr old twin granddaughters love her too and marvel when we do find something with her on it . I wish I had more $$ to buy stuffie of her or something they could hug cause I dont have anything like that. ❤❤❤
Haven’t been at EPCOT for a whole decade, was planning to go this year with my best friend and to see this whole park being gutted from its former glory makes me cancel the plans. This is not the EPCOT that I vividly remember.
I'm still hoping that Germany gets that rhine river cruise boat ride someday since the ride building has always existed and never used. And of course the mary poppins ride too.
Epcot was always my favorite in the 80s/90s. We went for my birthday after the turn of the century & I was really disappointed, not only had it lost its magic it was actually more dirty than I've ever seen at a major theme park. Havent been back since & likely wont ever go, too expensive for me to be standing in long lines with tons of people in the blazing sun; I live in Florida, I can do that locally for free.
Hey Adam. Out of all the vlogs I watched before our trip 2 weeks ago from the UK (first in 24 years), I've never seen anyone show the miniature trains in Germany. Keep up the good work :-)
omg...I could totally listen to some music in that CommuniCore Hall by New York minimalist composer Philip Glass. " As I turn and look into the sun, the rays burn my eyes! How like a turtle the sun looks!" hehehe
The only thing I miss from the old area is the fountain. I went back and looked at old videos of East and West and I don’t think my family stepped foot in there more than once or twice in all the years we went. And that was when my children were young. I know a lot of people are disappointed but I’m still excited to see it in person without the walls.
David here from Sebring Florida I been a Disneyland fan and collector for over fifty years and have been watching you for many years! You got back from California very quickly! Thanks for the tour of Epcot! 😊
I miss everything that they were going to do with EPCOT that got scrapped. Especially the Mary Poppins area. The area inside with the a/c will be a nice place to relax on hot days like we are having now but I am sure it will definitely get noisy though with people coming in to relax and chit chat.~~ I love your shirt. It’s cute.
It’s bad enough that they tore down a perfectly good building, essentially just to rebuild a more boring version of the same building. What’s worse is that it took YEARS to build essentially a business park and convention center.
Decided to watch Brad Bird’s Tomorrowland tonight since they just added it to Disney+. Watching this and then that made me just so incredibly sad. We really lost the plot..
@@jg_in_hd Epic Universe is far more likely to finish Disney off than to cause any moments of self-reflection by Bob Iger and his army of woke leftist robots. They are incapable of admitting to the folly of their own outrageous decisions. I think Disney is on life support…and Epic Universe will pull the plug.
I feel ur pain woo. As a huge fan and avid visitor of the OG Epcot Center I am astonished of how it all makes the Hindenburg like a fun, safe ride. When I go to WDW today and could only visit 3 parks Epcot would be a no go for me. It’s a shame as I do love the food offerings here. It may be different if I drank booze which like yourself I do not imbibe.
The new outdoor area for the communicore is very nice, but what is the purpose of the inside? Just a place to hang out inside? I could have done a much better job designing this indoor space
I love Epcot, I can’t wait to see it with the walls gone 😊 The Walt statue is one of my favourite new additions - it makes me feel quite emotional actually 🥹 Thanks for taking us with you - enjoy whatever you’re up to today (prob packing for your next adventure) ♥️ xxx
The last time I went to Disney was at Disneyland in 1978 and it was absolutely enjoyable and not a ripoff. You couldn't pay me to go now it has become an overpriced overrated park it's as simple as that .they should be ashamed of themselves for charging those prices
I just love Epcot, but there is parts of it. That does look like a college campus but that’s OK with me. The one thing I shy away from are the guys with the trash cans as soon as I see them I have the opposite direction they just don’t do it for me, thanks for the great video again Adam
I know Disney's budgets are extremely, super limited right now...but they could drape steel cables and nylon fabric over that audience area to create a ton more shade over people's heads. I know that material and steel cables are relatively CHEAP. Couldn't they have at least painted the walls in the hall and themed it with colors and art and....I dunno..."THEMEING"??? Just paint colors and artwork on the walls? It looks like a government high school lunchroom. I have seen small city airports that are better decorated and more interesting than this hall. Where did the Disney magic go? Oh, yeah,...they were all hired away by Universal and other companies. Ugggg....6+ years for this?
