Instagram - AdamTheWooATW Feels good to be back on a car for a long distance. Something very calming and therapeutic about it . Especially after so many plane flights lately
And canceled flights etc... Have a safe journey on your adventure ! I want Togo on a road trip ...from metro Detroit to Pigeon Forge and stay in a cabin in the woods for a week or SERIES of days. LOL... HAVE FUN Thanks for taking us along with you ❤
As a truck driver out of Atlanta, GA it's so funny to see you stop at all of the places I'm literally at every single week. Been watching you for almost 10 years! Stay safe out there Adam!
I was thinking the same thing, been watching since the days he didn’t even ask his mom, and today was it, I finally saw something I knew, at the end of the video the 3sec bridge crossing, I knew EXACTLY where that was I go over that bridge about everyday, very satisfying feeling knowing the Woo has crossed my path 😂. Safe travels ATW
George Reeves died 65 years ago today, on June 16, 1959. I was 5. He supposedly shot himself, but there was some doubt about that. I watched some of the Superman TV shows when they were first run, sometimes with my Dad. The later Superman episodes were filmed in color. We had one of the first color sets, which were mostly experimental at the time. My Dad actually worked with Philo Farnsworth on some of his TV experiments. Happy Fathers Day.
Wow! So good to see the backroads of America again with "The Woo". Keepin comin, Adam...such adventures! Meeting Superman and Honest Abe all in the same day?! The word of the day is...Awesome!👍🇺🇸
We just had some strong storms rolling through Wisconsin.i have my hot coffee watching Adam the woo .This reminds when my parents use to take us on the road trip to Disney World . traveling through states an time .Great museum .you remind me when I travel for work . some are making healthier choices in convenient stores ..oh my God I thought you said there Ronald McDonald on that sensor the word .but you said bench 😂😂 I had rewatch . Thank you Adam taking all us with you on the adventure ..It would make sense your dad would like George Reeves
My Dad's home town. The local newspaper was Named Daily Planet but it went out of business like so many others. The gentleman that invented Dippin Dots is from Metropolis as well. He might still be alive. Scenes from US Marshalls starring Wesley Snipes were filmed in the area. The "Blue Bridge" over the Ohio on the other side of 24 was seen in it.
Happy Father’s Day Dads! Being a Dad myself is the greatest. My son and I love The Daily Woo. It’s the one thing we watch together, that’s another reason why The Daily Woo means a lot to me.
Adam, safe travels. Really enjoyed your video! Loved Superman and Christopher Reeve as Superman! He was my favorite Superman. Wish I could see some of Old Route 66! Looking forward to your next vlog.
Holy mackerel! You must have had the pedal to the metal ! Great to see you! My home state , home of honest Abe ,the great rail splitter! Peace brother!
Thank you so much for going into that Stuckey's. I haven't been to one in 59 years but still have the very fondest memories of family stops along Route 66.
If you are headed back towards Spring Green and have the time, stop at Taliesin and take the full tour. One place we drove right by but couldn't stop to visit was the Volo Auto Museum in Illinois.
wow, you're in my neck of the woods at the end of your video. thw Quad cities as us locals call it. I can't wait to see your next couple days video's stay safe.
There was something special about Christopher Reeve’s performance as Superman… He used his gifts selflessly(I think of that scene in Superman II when he saves the woman and her baby from the falling antenna. He smiles at her when she says “Thank you!”) We should all strive to be more like him. Give of yourself and it will return to you tenfold.
His best role was "SOMEWHERE IN TIME " filmed on the world famous Mackinac Island in Michigan with Jane Seyymour !!! Love that movie ❤and it helps it was filmed on one of my favorite places in Michigan , metro Detroiter my whole life and counting
Happy Father's daybto your dad! This was fun. I love all your adventures. We travel a lot too. Great to see thongs we haven't found. Be safe...always ❤
My wife and I were in Metropolis just last week for the annual Superman Celebration! You should make the pilgrimage back there next year June 12-14. It’s a great event in a great small town!
Welcome to my neck of the woods Adam! Just finished watching the video. Frank's Pizzeria is iconic around here. I actually live about 22 miles east in Geneseo but was in the Quad Cities this afternoon. Quite a storm we had. Looking forward to tomorrow's video.
You skipped Ohio where I live. lol I know what it is like to drive that far. Last weekend I drove from Ohio to Florida & back to Ohio in 4 days & 3 nights. Thanks for the video Adam! Safe travels
Omg I live in Mount Vernon IL and I’m a big fan of your videos! I was shocked to see you next to the Michelin lady 😂 crazy to see you in my area of all places. Shawnee National forest has some really cool hiking trails on alltrails app. Trillium is one of my favorites! Drive safe
Adam, there is a GREAT Movie with Dean Jones called The Great Man's Whiskers (a made for TV movie) that tell the story about the little girl and the letter she wrote to President Lincoln about shaving his whiskers. It is a WONDERFUL movie, but I can't find it online. Also, Dennis Weaver played President Lincoln and Dean Jones was the little girl's father.
A friend of mine from work is a Superman fan. He and his wife drove from Nashville to Metropolis to see the total solar eclipse in April. Of course, they fit in a visit to the Superman museum, which he loved.
My 4xs great uncle was an Illinois state senator with Lincoln. A group of senators were called the Long nine, which Lincoln was a part of. They were over 6 feet tall. There is a museum in Illinois
Wow, you passed within one mile of our wacky world in Kentucky. Since last time you stopped in, we had a fire that took out one of our buildings, and several weeks ago, a tree fell and crushed our western town during a storm. The Hillbilly slide is still around. Enjoyed your tour of Metroplis and the Super Museum.
For those of you whose day (and Father's Day) is incomplete without it: That's going to do it for today. Thanks for watching each and every day. I'll see you in the next video, the vlog is...I stopped at a Buc-ee's and a Stuckey's today, drove 800 miles, saw Superman's actual cape....over.
You missed a lot of cool stuff in central Illinois. Come back during the day and visit the Lincoln sites in Springfield, the first city named for Abraham Lincoln, the worlds largest covered wagon, and much more!
One Summer I worked @ a Girl Scout Camp named Happy Halloween, in Elkhorn WI! It was a drastic change for this El Paso, TX desert rat! The week the campers tyed dyed t shirts & banadanas was the week that there was 2 Dead Head Concerts on Werkend end #1 & the following weekend # 2! Needless to say we had ALOT of “ 👀 looky- Lous” coming on to camp property wanting to camp out, short cut to Music Festival & Buy the dye t shirts! 😊😮😊😂 what a Great Life!
glad you got to your destination safe and sound. And entertaining us along the way. My guess is you are on your way to watch the Rays taking on the Twins. Do me a favor and go to Matt's bar the home of the ORIGINAL juicy lucy.
When were you and Calhoun Georgia? We went through there 6 o’clock Saturday morning. OK, I literally think that you were right behind us coming back from Florida. We live in Carbondale Illinois.
If you get the chance you should go out to Galesburg, IL (not far from the Iowa border). It is the home of Knox College. We checked it out but our kid decided to go to another college but that college goes back to when Lincoln was running for Senate and had debates at that college. That main building is still there with a lot of history including the very chair Lincoln sat in!
So, I’ve narrowed your destination down to either heading to Minneapolis to see your Rays tangle with my Twins, or………to my hometown of Harmony, MN to visit Niagara Cave and get some great cave video footage. Either way, have a great visit in the my birth state. Niagara Cave was discovered 100 years ago, by a farmer searching for some lost pigs.
Half way from Arkansas to Iowa, there was a Stucky's. If I behaved in the car, and didn't drive dad nuts driving, I got a pecan log as a reward! (I always got one LOL) Also, I could always find a sticky, but still wrapped, Starlight Mint in the bottom of mom's purse.
We Adam said there was a traffic jam because of a wreck and the next scen was an airplane stuck in the ground, my heart might have skipped a beat or two.
