Since it's the start of summer, would you guys do a "Best places to beat the heat" in the parks? I've noticed a lot of counter service places seem to only have outdoor seating. Having a list of places to grab a snack and cool off could be really good.
Hollywood Studio food tours next! I'm going to DW in August and am studying all your videos and guides for all important info. I'm so happy and thrilled that I found the DFB!
I got a burger when I went. It was really good. They gave me a bowl of pickles as a side though in some sort of vinegar or something. I seriously still think about those pickles and how good they were! LOL! I wish I knew how to make them. I looked on their menu to see what they are called and I tried to make them myself but they werent the same. I could eat an entire jar of those no joke!
Awesome video! Have you guys made or considered making an alcohol tour of all the parks? Where and what perhaps a favorite pairing? I don't know just a thought. Much ❤️
Great video! Well you always do a great job! Love the Yak and Yeti! The chicken and waffle and the tuna nachos, OMG!!!! My wife and I just had our honeymoon in Disney, Such a great time. You have helped plan our 12 day trip so much. Thank you, and keep'em coming!
Yak and Yeti was probably one of the nicest surprises on our trip. It was soooo good! Would 8 Spoons be considered Asia? The Spicy Shrimp mac and cheese was solid as well
When I first learned there was a Yak and Yeti at Disney, I was surprised that a CO local restaurant chain was represented or that Landry's had purchased it. Nope, just the name is the same. CO's Yak and Yeti is amazing and even brews their own beers. If you're ever in CO, check them out. ☺️
AJ, it's becoming very obvious you have a thing for AK resort, the Park and all of it's related foods and this rocks! i'm with you!! Yak and Yeti is very underrated but fantastic!!!
We've eaten twice at Y&Y; first time was a hit, second, not so much. The one thing I'd strongly recommend is that if you don't like air conditioning going at full blast, take a sweater with on the day you have a reservation there. I froze--it was so uncomfortable I left the restaurant before my s/o was done. This has happened both times we were there. I wanted to huddle for warmth but thought that wouldn't go over well with the wait staff. Seriously cold. I think that was one of the things that colored my perception of our second visit toward the negative.
i was at animal kingdom the first year it opened and one of the little kiosks had mashed potato volcanoes and they were amazing, and i haven’t seen anything like it since then.
Would love to see all the options tried out at Sun Shine Seasons in Epcot- hear your opinion! They have so many amazing options (vegan which is awesome) so would love to hear what you have to say!
I looooove all this food! My only complaint is I wish there was more indoor seating! I really hate eating outside, especially in Orlando where it’s over 80 degrees most of the time. I just can’t enjoy food while I’m sweating! 😕
great videos as always.. I am amazed at how much better I eat at the parks now that I've started watching your vids!! Could you do one about pescatarian/vegetarian/vegan places in Disney parks and resorts? They have the Beyond Burger at the Yacht Club, which I was really surprised to find last time we were there (Feb 2018). It would be awesome to know beforehand where I can find some great options for those of us that don't eat meat! Thanks!
So my pro tip for anywhere in animal kingdom is to pack reusable straws. We bring stainless steel ones that can be washed and reused over and over again. We learned after wasting money on the frozen POG juice at the lodge and the frozen tea lattes at the park because the paper straws are awful and destroy the whole experience of drinking any frozen drinks (the paper straws are miserable at pulling the frozen drink through)
Aside from the atmosphere (which is really cool, so I understand the draw to it!) the food is very dull and uninspiring. It's very much like a Chili's or Applebee's, which i'm not a fan of. There is much better food inside Animal Kingdom and Disney Springs!
Yak & Yeti is a very good sit down spot. It took me several visits to warm up to the place, but the food is really delicious. And yes, it is a Landry's restaurant. If you have Landry's select card you can get a 10% discount. Same for Rainforest café, but I agree, Rainforest is similar to a Chili's / Applebee's while Yak & Yeti is NOT!
You heard wrong. It is "fun" and "interesting", especially for first-timers with kids, but the food is pedestrian and WAY overpriced. Kinda like an Applebee's with a jungle in the middle.
Hi! I wanted to ask if you had any videos on food on the cruise line that is the same as the food in the parks?I saw one video that mentioned dole whip and mickey bars are available but was wondering if there were any others? Thank you!!!
Hello! I was wondering if you'd do a video about gluten-free options at WDW. My brother has celiac disease (and he's also a pescatarian!) and we just got back from a trip to Disney world and it was pretty difficult to find foods suitable for him. I would really appreciate it if you dedicated a video for gluten-free food! I love your videos and it helped us in our trip a lot regardless. Thank you!
I don't quite understand why there are so many food cart locations with so few.iotiins. if you're going to utilize that many locations, there should be numerous food options and there aren't.
Is there a hard ticketed event or any event in Disney or in universal in March? Can a 14 year old go to a hard ticketed event alone when the adult rest in the resort ?? Can we book a early dining reservation before extra magic hours ?? Can we visit full park in hard ticketed event or only a specific part ?? How many person can come with 1 AP ?
I've been to Yak & Yeti several times and it was pretty good--I was only really impressed with the wonton dessert, but the meals were decent (if I didn't have some much better Asian options at home I'd probably give the food better marks). Last time I went it was awful. The service was bad. I've got some dietary restrictions and when I told the waiter, instead of getting me an allergy menu or a chef to discuss options, he pointed out just two things on the menu that would be okay. The food itself was so salty it was barely edible. I would have sent it back, but we had fastpasses and couldn't wait on the kitchen to recook food. I'm never going back to Yak & Yeti.
Dee, my comment was not unkind, and if AJ is entitled to her opinion, I'm certainly entitled to mine. Yak and Yeti is not in the same class as the others I mentioned, and I didn't even list Santuli Canteen, which is also better. AJ's statement that Yak and Yeti is the best is the equivalent of stating that McDonald's is better than a 5-star restaurant and it brings into question all of her allegedly "expert" food advice. Grow up snowflake!
