This is my favorite part of Disney World. The monorail ride is always filled with excitement, anticipation, and wonder of the enjoyments to come that day.
I mean who doesn't like the monorail. Such an iconic part of Disney parks. Wish they would get new trains, these are reaching the end of their service life for sure. Great as always 4K.
Yep I agree Andrew! Disney has put a lot of work into these trains the past couple of years, but we really just needed fresh ones. I remember when Siemens offered to give Disney brand new monorails for free back in 2017, as long as the Siemens name was on all the monorails. I can understand why Disney declined that but man, that was such a great offer. Thanks so much as always 😃
Same here Lori! I always hoped that the monorail would be extended to other areas but that most likely won’t ever happen unfortunately. I could see the Skyliner being extended though
@@ZazzelTheGamer A big company like Disney does not think in terms of how much it costs, it thinks in terms of return on investment (ROI). The ROI of a monorail extension would be incredibly small.
Riding the Monorail is half the fun of going to WDW!! I Love it so much, I have a bumper sticker that says 'My other ride is the Magic Kingdom Monorail', a monorail key chain, & even a plaque in my entryway with a pic of Mickey & Monorail on it that states 'Please stand clear of the doors'! AWESOME!!
Ok who else watched this, and felt and smelt this ride? Tell me I am not the only one that has it burned into my brain that slight musty smell of them that i seem to still enjoy.
I don't mind the smell, it's the monorail ride to the parks I always enjoy the most. I get what you mean though, I feel like going on those again when I have the opportunity to go to Orlando again.
Yep, it was a perfect day! I got some of the return trip filmed, but need to get a little more footage to complete it. Hopefully within the next week it’ll be done! Thanks for always watching 😃
When I need a Disney World fix I always enjoy the monorail videos you do. We always make a point to ride it. Sounds strange but I love the warning "Please stand clear of the doors." Even with all the warnings you always see someone trying to lean against the door.
This is such a relaxing air-conditioned trip - especially in the middle of the day. It's also very nice after dark riding the monorail from the Transportation and Ticket Center (TTC) to Epcot. Thanks for sharing. And as always, the quality of your video is stellar ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐.
Yes I agree! I haven’t been on the Epcot line at night since last summer, but am hoping to film that again in the near future. Thanks so much as always Gerry😃
When I’m at WDW I always take a day off to ride the monorail and visit the connected resorts, as well as the ride to Epcot. It’s so relaxing and a fun activity for me. Basically an attraction outside of the parks. This video brings back a pleasant memory or two 😊
in the past 15 years I have visited Disneyland inn California at least once every year traveling from Oregon. It's like walking into another dimension. Everyone is so happy, cheery and almost appear to have forgotten problems and political indifferences. The rides, the food, the restaurants are so much fun. I'm disappointed in the cost increases as it makes it difficult and many can no longer afford and enjoy the experience.
I remember that one! That was so long time ago! I haven’t been at Disney World for nearly three decades now. Everything is change. I miss old days. My last time my brother and I went to Disney World in 1995.
just left after 2 weeks at disney. just the most amazing place, id have been waiting for my flight when you were filming this. Cant wait to binge watch your vids to help feel like im still there
When I was 10 in 1982, I thought the monorail was the greatest thing in all of Disney World. I went back in April 2022 for the first time since 1982 with my own 10 year old son. I told him in the weeks leading up to our trip about how amazing the monorails were to ride. When we got there, we finally jumped on for a ride….and I realized, they’re really just a cool looking subway. My son was like, this is it Dad? Umm, yeah buddy, this is it, lol. But, then we rode the Skyliner most of the week and that thing is AWESOME! Sucks to have outgrown childhood.
A VERY enjoyable look at another part of WDW. When I get a park hopper pass, I will often use this same route from Epcot to the Magic Kingdom. One of the views I most enjoy is when the monorail going to/from Epcot rounds the corner near World Drive, and I can see our favorite hotel (Dolphin). As with all others, this video was very well filmed, scenes appropriately provided, and production conducted with quality, to make us feel we were riding along. Thanks 4K, and God Bless...
Thank you so much as always Ken! I have always enjoyed this trip so much, but don’t necessarily use it to go from each park that often. I just love the ride and the sights!
This is awesome-love the POV! This will be so fun to share with my 6 year old, as the monorail is one of the things he’s looking forward to most. Thank you for posting this! More POV vids would be awesome-I’m just finding your channel now so I’ll take a look around.
🚝What fun to ride the "Highway in the sky". Have you been to the Contempo recently because it appears that with bushes they have stopped people from using the terrace outside of the shopping level. How sad not to see the trains from that angle. Even though I "heard" you were going to TTC, it has been so long that I wondered where the castle was when the train stopped. At least DL monorail was very simple & I didn't embarrass myself for my first time there.. LOL This was so refreshing! Thx 4💜
Yes, I noticed those bushes as well. Not sure what the deal is with that but hopefully temporary! It is crazy how different the Disneyland monorail is compared to here. It’s nice to know that we have something here that’s better than Disneyland, because overall there isn’t much lol. Thanks so much as always Liz 😃
I'm coming back to Orlando on October 3rd Monday and flying back on the 18th i will be back on the monorail i love the monorail its like trainspotting back in my country the uk
@@4KWDW agree plus the sky liner breaks down so often! Wish they had a walking path or something to walk around Epcot so you could ride skyliner to Epcot then take monorail to Magic Kingdom! It would connect all the transportation!
Do you remember your first time sitting up front on a monorail at WDW; I do. As a kid, you felt somewhere between Peter Pan and the Starship Enterprise as you pulled out of the Contemporary into the highway in the sky. I’m not trying to dishonor or disregard what happened back in 2009, but I believe with the safety improvements that were made, it’s time to bring this wondrous experience back. Out at Disneyland, you can still do this. It’s long overdue here too.
We have a trip planned in October. I'm "studying" your videos and learning where everything is in hopes to make getting around the parks just a tad bit less frustrating. So my question is are there two seperate monorails from epcot to MK Park? It looked as if you got off the first one and got on a second to actually take you to MK. Please help me understand for our park hopper days. Thanks so much! Your videos have been very helpful! I'm learning alot and can't wait for our magic day!
Yes that is correct! You will have to board two different monorails. You first take the monorail from Epcot to the Transportation & Ticket center. From there, you have to get off and transfer to the Magic Kingdom express monorail line, as shown in the video. Thank you so much for watching and for the kind words 😃
While I do love the ability at Disneyland to go from Tomorrowland to DTD to grab a bite to eat it really is nothing more than a slight convenience factor, but Disney World it really is a transportation system actually going someplace that you can't easily walk to, plus it doesn't have a ton of "needless" loops and turns like the one at DL.
they are looking at replaceing the monorail system with the loop system, so instead of taking the Monorail from Epcot, Ticket terminal, the Magic Kingdom they would have a underground Tunnels with Tesla cars taking people to all the disneys parks including animal kingdom and MGM.
what happened to "por favor manténgase alejado de las puertas" at the beginnning??? thanks for the wonderful video.... miss the weather.... the sights and sound....
I just came back from Disneyworld (and Universal Studios) tonight and rode the monorail all over and was very impressed! Any chance of them extending it to Hollywood studios?
Wow. I went for a day trip a few years back. I did my research. How would I have known the monorail provides transport between parks, because my research didn’t show me that? I thought I had to use the buses.
It amazes me how Diz gets everything so clean... EXCEPT FOR THE MONORAIL BEAMS!!! They are turning BLACK!!! A thorough steam cleaning or, better yet- sandblasting- job is badly needed!
It sounds like they've removed the "Bing-Bong" door open tone, as well as the "Please Stand Clear of the Doors, Por Favor..." announcement just before closing!?
It just didn’t work on this specific train on the Epcot line. It worked when I went over to Magic Kingdom so it seems like some of the trains have some audio issues
