Actually that was supposed to be a funny accident, the actor IRL is super straight and refused to do anything more than that in the movie. Also NOT EVERYTHING IS GAY!
Because in Alabama unlike the navy blue states like Cali, NY, MA, VT, and Washington there are only 2 genders and they believe in family, bible, and God. Same here in Florida 🙏🏻
@@ThankYouAndGoodnight510although Disney does tend to change some details to bring in new audiences and in the animated movie he makes goo goo eyes at the three prostitutes (or whatever they're called but I'm assuming that because prostitution was more common in that century)
@@Potatoes-lazy Absolutely TRUE! Giving some pleasurable stimulation to a same-sex person isn't always totally indicative of actual homosexuality. I helped out my str8 roommate PLENTY of times years ago. And a married neighbor dude, an ex co-worker, and a lonely . . . . .
To all the homophobes at the bottom of the comment section reciting verses... whatever happened to "Love thy neighbor as thyself"? Hate speech is a sin.
What really gets them mad is "do onto others you would want them to do onto you,for this is the first and most important rule of the lord jesus Christ" Quoting that pisses off a lot of so called Christian's,it's fun.
They need to start showing gay couples without saying roommates but by saying husband. Gay representation is necessary. The children are gonna know when their classmate will have two fathers or two mothers. They need to know so bullying doesn't happen .
There’s a book called rebel rose which is about beauty and the beast but the events after and belle having to deal with the French revolution and Lefou is confirmed to be gay in that I’d recommend it it’s a really good book
Bear in mind that The Incredibles opens in the late 1940s (1947) and jumps ahead to the early 1960s (1962). This aligns with the passage of 15 years between the incident with the elevated railway and Mr. Incredible assuming a civilian role. Based on real-world social events at the time, one of the superhero had to list his same-sex partner as a roommate instead of mentioning openly that they were a husband.
Well, i prefer Elsa just to be an asexual aromantic woman just like the cast wanted to be she should be representation to the aroace community as a cis gay man. 😊
What do you mean didn't know? The dude literally sings an entire song about how great Gaston is simping over him the entire movie. Everyone knew that character was gay. Straight men don't sing love songs to their homies.
It might also be a refrence to Full House. Of course it could go either way, but we also have to look at the context of when these things were made, Full House may not seem really well remembered now, but in the early 2000s, it definitely would not be supeising to hide a refrence to it in there with how the father's friend and brother in law had to help him raise the kids when his wife died.
I wouldn’t say Disney hates LGBT but, it does love money. They represent the saying in trying to please everyone they please no one. Disney puts in some brief representation. But they’re so brief they can be edited out if they show them in homophobic countries. Then there’s the owl house. It had good LBGTQ representation but, Disney cancelled them and shortened their season 3. Said it didn’t fit their brand.
malaysia banned all disney movies because all those disney movies are LGBT related so, animation makers in malaysia decided to make local cartoon series to replace disney due to the law there Edit: not only that, the disney series is also the same, related to LGBT
@@Jujuonthatbeat777 Oh I see. So I guess french translator wanted to keep the goat a female since the original story is french... or maybe they just were to homophobic at that time to accept the gargoyle with the goat as two males u_u
Ive Absolutely ADORE Disney I dont care if theres Gay characters. I get what youre saying . I LOVE the movies and Don't get my started on my Love for Disneyland.
Still think it’s stupid that Disney only comes with like small hints to stuff and doesn’t just show it like they would with any other straight couple. But they are scared of losing money since some countries can’t accept people for something as simple as love and self acceptance
@CloudsArePrettyAndSoIsRain No your so not alone I feel like that he used sneak off and his sisters would know where he was going and they would cover for him
Okay but why are so many gay Disney characters just: "remember that one character that appeared on screen for 4 seconds? They're gay!" Then when there's actual queer representation disney cancels it...
Why does everything have to revolve around someone being gay? Why can't these characters just exist without their sexuality being their whole character? Why does this guy feel the need to tell everyone that some fictional character might be gay? It doesnt affect anything or anyone
Raising children with a man sounds pretty gay to me I dunno. Plus it's probably a reference to the fact that when 2 people of the same gender were obviously in a romantic relationship they were labelled as "roommates"
@@not_umbre I'm not str8 or bi, but I helped an ex-coworker woman raise her son & daughter for years! Meals, potty training, bathing, ABCs, cartoons, birthdays, scolding, facts of life talk, homework, picking up from school, reading, playtime, chores, bedtime, babysitting, mumps, Santa Claus, . . .
Historians have been calling homosexual couples roommates for hundreds of years. It really just looks like a reference to how homosexual couples are represented in history.
It’s a reference to history. People of the same sex can live together and be friends but it is a hint towards a story involving Emily Dickinson and Susan Gilbert. Historians refused to identify their obviously romantic relationship and instead pushed to say they were roommates and not lovers. It is often used as a reference when talking about gay erasure in history. I hope this helps!!
@@Femi_man no, it doesn't help, because josh is making assumptions about fictional characters and deciding that they're gay just because they live together.
@@chaosman4715It could be both to be honest. It could be a happy queerplatonic couple raising children together and being a family or they could be gay. Since it's not confirmed to be one way or another some people can have different interpretations and since both groups of people get very little representation it makes sense that every possible gay/queerplatonic relationship gets "claimed" by both
@@vi4654 it doesn't make sense to claim something just because it wasn't addressed by the creators about a small meaningless detail that has nothing to do with the actual story itself. And also, representation doesn't equate to quality story telling.
It’s kind of crazy that they casted Josh Gad a strait guy to play a gay guy when they casted Luke Evans to play Gaston a straight guy when Luke Evans is gay
Yeah, them not representing oppressed minorities for the sake of money is not only hypocritical to their values as filmmakers, but it ultimately shows that they honestly do not care for the actual minorities they are representing on a deeper level than just using them as a way to manipulate people into believing that they are “woke” and genuinely care. If they did care, they’d say, “Being not straight or not cisgender is okay and if you think it’s not then you are perpetuating the suffering of innocent humans who had no choice to be the people they are. If you honestly think it’s okay to dislike lgbtq+ people, you have lost touch with what makes people human. And no amount of hatred and bias can eliminate the truth that what you are doing cannot be justified, and you are an awful person. And you not seeing that you are an awful person doesn’t make you less of an awful person.” But you know, they have a choice between their Integrity and money.
@@Golden_Thunder857 Lifestyle? Do you think being gay is on the same level of choice as being, I don’t know, vegan? Because it’s not. I am not choosing to like the same sex. People who are transgender do not choose to change their gender. It’s something that’s unavoidable, and cannot change about yourself. And if you saying you don’t “agree” with us, is like saying to someone with dark hair that you don’t “agree” with their lifestyle of having dark hair. But don’t worry, they still aren’t a bad person.
I watched the live action Beauty and the Beast with my homophobic parents when it was new. My stepfather straight up just stood and left the theatre when he saw the scene. Terribly dramatic.
Making me wonder why they canceled Gravity Falls, the show’s writer had 8 seasons planned out but Disney cancelled it because there was going to be a gay relationship between the two cops
Can you do a video for tips for coming out? And if you do please blur out my comment name please ❤ I am really scared because some of my family are homophobic and I am scared to come out. Also I really like your channel💖
"La Fou was already sort of gay." I donno, I read him as more of your average fanboy to Gaston - he does fawn over those girls early in the movie. I like the change in the live action movie because it offers new dynamics between them.
