You did a fabulous job UFO Bob on your short film of being a Jungle Cruise Skipper at Disneyland with your friend George Trullinger talking about being a Skipper himself back in the day at the park. The short film came out so clear and sharp. I just loved it!
This was fun, loved the interview and inside look what the park was like - when I was 4 years old! Ah, INCREDIBLE to be recognized by Walt Disney like that. I would have been speechless. A real gentleman. Definitely a different time.
Glad you liked it, John. Though the park retains most of it's original charm, it's not quite the same as it was in the 60s, when I went there as a child . And like you, if I had meet Walt Disney in persons as a child, I would have been speechless.
Great job all around, Bob! Neat to hear George's story, and to see the Park again after so many years. And...I remember his teacher, Mr. Cole -- he was my driver's ed instructor--cool guy!
Thanks. I enjoyed making this video and hope to maybe do more Cast Member stories. For example, George introduced me to one of the three ladies that play Tinkle Bell, flying from the tip of the Matterhorn down into the park. And would you believe it, she's 61 years old! Hopefully, I can set that interview up. We'll see.
Oh Vern, this was a blast from the past, so to speak. It brought back my memories from when I was little , and from when I married your brother! I can imagine it was fun to revisit the place where you and your brothers ran around a lot when you were younger. I can’t wait for more from Disneyland.
Thanks, Linda. It was definitely a nostalgic day, especially when I shot the Monorail as it glided into the station at Downtown Disney. That's where the three of us meet and rode the Monorail into the park.

Next level! Really enjoyed the narration and commentary. At 5:00 it was really interesting to see those period looking drafting tables paired with those modern Herman Miller Aeron chairs. This sort of old meets new, in the same way watching George reconnect with his past at Disneyland. Thanks for sharing this adventure UFO Bob!
Glad you enjoyed it! I am doing my best to make each new video a little better than the one before it. And I didn't catch the Herman Miller Aeron chairs until you brought it to my attention. But it makes sense; think of how many hours, day after day, that artist must sit there and draw.
