Join us as in our day one vlog from the Disneyland Resort in Anaheim, California! Yay, the video I have been waiting for and it did not Disappoint! One hour of my Life in front of the TV and it was FULLY WORTH IT! P.s Charlotte, not sure if you got it but the trash can keyring were in the main shop in downtown Disney outside the parks. They made me chuckle when I saw them

I'll have to give to you Shawn, the fact you managed to spend 2 weeks away knowing that you're going to propose at the end of it and not give away any signs and still seem to be calm is amazing. Plus managing to hide the engagement ring for 2 weeks without Charlotte finding it especially through airport security and everything like that is pure talent. You both deserve so much happiness 😊 💗 🥰

Out of the 3 Disney Parks I've been to, this is my favorite for 2 reasons now ... firstly, Indiana Jones makes Disneyland in France look like a carnival ride and number 2 ... Shawn popped the question and Charlotte said YES!!! Congratulations! ❤❤❤

So thrilled to see Charlotte's first reaction to all the rides, and especially for Rise of the Resistance! The first time I road it I had no idea what to expect, and I was simply awestruck by it. The experience of that ride has no equal currently, and I really believe it's the best ride there now. So glad it was a great experience for you both!

One thing about Disneyland is that people might say it's a small Park compared to Orlando but the design is brilliant in it makes perfect use of the space it has. It's compact but it doesn't feel that compact. In Orlando one complaint is that everything is so spread out and things take longer to get to, so bigger isn't necessarily better. So glad you and Charlotte are enjoying you're stay at Disneyland. It's especially fun to see Charlotte's reactions from her first time there, awwww. Bless you both!

What I love best about this channel is that as often as I watch your vlogs, there always seems to be hidden gems I've yet to see. Case in point, this video is absolutely great. The last time I was at Disneyland was in 2005 for the 50th anniversary. This vlog has inspired me to look into going back. And again, I'm amazed that with as many of your vlogs as I've watched, I've only stumbled across this one tonight! Keep up the great work, love these vlogs! One last comment, Charlotte's response to Rise was excellent, reminded me of my own feelings the first and only time I rode it at Hollywood studios this past December 😊

This made me so happy! I lived in CA for 16 years and Disneyland was my home away form home. There were few bigger joys than taking a friend or loved one there for the first time and watching them experience the magic and joy :)

Been watching every video on this trip you two are on and loving every minute of it. The look on Charlot's face after experiencing Rise of the Resistance is priceless ) I've been living in Sydney Aus for the last 20 years but I am a southern California native. Spent most of my life growing up at Magic Mountain and Disneyland. Can't wait for you two to experience California Adventure. The Cars ride is my fav :)

Wow! What an amazing vlog Shawn and Charlotte. Some real great rides in the park at Disneyland Anaheim. I’ve done the Florida one many times but never this one. Big Thunder Mountain a real classic and always enjoyable. It’s a Small World is so spectacular and a bit different to the one at London’s Hyde Park. As for those Star Wars simulation rides they are absolutely amazing, I have never experienced anything like that. I’m not a Star Wars fan but that was something pretty special and I’m so glad Charlotte was blown away by it. Fabulous vlog guys and I so look forward to to watching part two.👍👍👍

Such a big fan man! I just found your channel randomly the other day. Cedar point is my home park and I used to work there the summer of 2018 as a lifeguard. One of the best summers of my life. I noticed that was your first time there. I loved Space Mountain in Paris. I found that with it being mostly dark and indoor, the fear of heights didn't really kick in so I could enjoy what I actually like about rollercoasters. I need to go on more dark coasters to see if I can handle more intense rides if they're indoor and you can't see how high up you are lol. Faster launching helped too I think.

Yeah it is really amazing that Disneyland has more actual rides as compared to Magic Kingdom in Orlando. It actually is quite shocking when you go to the 2 as I left Orlando sort of underwhelmed especially considering the size of the Orlando Park is so much bigger. Also the Disneyland version of 2 of the bigger rides- Space Mountain and Pirates of the Caribbean are both so much better at Disneyland than in Orlando.

I’m so glad you two didn’t purchase Genie, I refuse to do it as well. I live right between knotts and Disneyland and I feel like it’s lost so much of the magic over the past year and now you put genie plus on top of that. I find myself frequenting Knott’s much more often now.

I think Slinky Dog is the only Disney coaste NOT built by Vekoma or Intamin since Disneyland’s Big Thunder. At that, I think only Intamin built Incredicoaster and the RC Racers

To address some of Charlotte’s confusion with the lack of toad in Mr. Toad’s Wild Ride….When the dark rides in fantasyland first opened the main characters were not included in the ride because the ride was meant to be taken from their perspective. So Snow White didn’t have Snow White, etc. you were supposed to be the main character. They have since updated most of the rides to include the character because of confusion over the years however toad still has no toad. Maybe in the future?

Most of the parks in the US reopened in July of 2020 with the exception of California and a few other places. I think they're all back on their regular schedule now.

I know I'm not Sean. But I'm a frequent visitor of both parks. Efteling is definitely the more well rounded experience with beautiful storytelling and themeing. perfect for family visits. Walibi Belgium has a few good rollercoasters and a good dark ride but not much else..

Did you know that big thunder mountain at Disneyland California is the only one out of the four Disney’s that is not manufactured by Vekoma it’s actually manufactured by arrow dynamics.

I still love this Disney park the most of the U.S. Disney parks I have been to. Love the feel of it and the fact in was the original. It also has so many more attractions packed into it as compared to Magic Kingdom in Orlando. Where would you rank Disneyland in Anaheim compared to all the comparable version Disney parks in the world since I think you have been to all of them now?

In my opinion though the larger scale of DW is disappointing when it delivers less rides and in my opinion not as good of versions (as compared to Disneyland) of many of the main rides- Pirates, Space Mountain, Splash Mountain. It also does not even have some of the best rides of Disneyland- Indiana Jones, Matterhorn and Rise of the Resistance. I do like DW though and love the huge majestic lake entrance and the castle there. They both have elements that make them unique but in my opinion Disneyland is just a much more complete park with a better atmosphere and definitely better bang for your buck.

Of course I'm just comparing Magic Kingdom at DW to Disneyland which are the closest equivalents. Both are great though and it is nice they are different.

I much prefer Disneyland over Magic Kingdom as I feel as though it’s much better designed with the areas and attractions within them!

@@ThemeParkWorldwide I totally agree. I remember I was actually quite disappointed with Magic Kingdom the first time I went as I had first gone to Disneyland. I could not believe how much more I ended up liking Disneyland. Better design, better layout, better weather, better atmosphere, more rides, better rides, better food, better versions of more top rides, more navigable and compact, more history & nostalgia.

The dry ice effect in the Indiana jones ride is shut off for good which is a disappointment but the door literally froze from the cold so not a problem anymore.

Dude, Matterhorn Bobsleds has such nice transitions and track profiling for its age. Or really for any mine train. I wonder if Disney had Vekoma reprofile the track during what I assume has been 1 or 2 refurbishments? Nice long ride too. Really want to make it to Cali one day. I mean look at those awesome, classic anti roll-backs 12:10. I do wish Disney would work towards eradicating cattle pens in queue lines though. Really dislike them.

37:24 On Mr. Toad's Wild Ride, what happens is you run head on into a train and get killed during the train crash, then the same judge that says "That is all" before greets you again in hell afterwards. That scene is very frightening for children and frighten me as an adult on my 2019 trip to Disneyland.
