I always thought Rockin Space Mountain should return during Coachella. It’d be a fun thing to do for a couple nights and then switch it back

It cracks me up that Disneyland's problem used to be how to convince more people to visit the park. Now their problem is how to keep people away! Despite doing seemingly everything to raise prices, reduce staffing, complicate visits, and neglect maintenance, the park is packed year-round!

Ghost Galaxy is one the best overlays they ever did, and I’m really surprised that it hasn’t returned.

I know, Ghost Galaxy was simply the best. I don't like the Xmas version, and I don't like hyperspace mountain either. I went on Ghost Galaxy in 2014 and it transformed the whole ride. No GG in 2016 at WDW, or 2019 or 2022 when I did go back to Disneyland proper to try and see it. HK Disney never brought it back either..

We were there for this! We loved it but that’s not why we went. I’ll always remember it - it was super fun to ride space mountain with more lively music kinda like guardians. It doesn’t fit space mountain I know but it was super fun and memorable.

I have very fond memories of the Chili Peppers on Space Mountain and California Screamin’, and it’s still my favorite version of Disneyland Space Mountain, and until the Incredicoaster became a thing it was the best version of that ride, too 😊 even though, admittedly, it was very off-theme for Space Mountain

I remember when Space Mountain came back from its lengthy remodel around the the 50th Anniversary, there was discussion of Rock-It Mountain being a permanent addition. The concept was that Space Mountain would be the standard ride by day and Rock-It Mountain by night. There was also supposed to be a similar switch-over for Pirates, becoming "Pirates of the Scare-ibbean" at night. However, as I recall, they realized that the switch-overs would be too logistically difficult.

If you’re asking who this is for ?! Can’t really expect someone who’s not from Southern California and wasn’t in high school or a young college kid in 2007 to really appreciate what Disney did having RHC on their two THRILL rides. Screaming had Cant stop which was amazing to hear!! Higher ground worked perfectly as it gave the Power Rangers Movie nostalgia !! It was mainly used as a test for future projects to see how layovers work for spring and summer and if that didn’t work you wouldn’t have the upgraded lay overs we have today. Red Hot Chili Peppers may not have didgeridoos in their songs but they 4 SURE ROCK!!

Keep it the original, perhaps plus/modernize the effects used. Look how they basically destroyed the arguably most beautiftul Space Mountain in Disneyland Paris.

I was able to ride both of these rides during this time and absolutely loved these rides with these RHCP songs! For a period of time after it ended I would put headphones on to listen to these songs during the ride. The one thing I could NEVER wrap my head around with this promotion was the fact that the RHCP have a awesome song called “The Zephyr Song” and California Adventure has the “Golden Zephyr” ride and they didn’t think to extend the promotion to this ride…great video as always!

My first time ever riding Space Mountain as a kid was riding it during these overlays. I was too scared to ride California Screamin at the time though so I didn't experience the overlay on it. Honestly as a kid I thought it was cool but I now much prefer the normal Space Mountain theme.

I'm too tall for the seats on Disneyland Space Mountain and the last time I rode it my knees were in such pain that I vowed to never ride it again. That being said, I'd give it one more go if they brought back Hyperspace Mountain as it was a fantastic overlay that kept the ride's theming feeling epic as ever while adding that little extra push over the edge that Star Wars brings with it.

I'm from Monterey CA and my school did grand night at Dineyland. It was really fun, took a bus like 6 hours down there, got dressed up, had dinner and a dance and then got into Disneyland late and stayed until like 7 the next morning. This was way back in 1995, first time I ever rode the Indian Jones ride. I've also seen both Ghost Galaxy and the Star Wars overlays. Both were cool and a nice change for long time riders.

Honestly, Space Mountain was always the ride that I couldn’t get on at Disneyland. Not a fan of rollercoasters. It always bugged my wife. But as with any Disneyland trip with her, I got on Rockin Space Mountain. I absolutely loved it! I actually asked if we could hop on again! Since then, I’ve been good with Space Mountain, I love the ride now! But I always have hope that they’ll bring Rockin Space Mountain back one day

I think I was five or six when it was Rockin Space Mountain and I remember liking it more because the track was more lit and not being able to see the track very well normally when I was young was scary lol

I remember going to this with my parents and we all really enjoyed it. My Dad loved RHCP so this was a match made in heaven for us and was a better overlay than most for space mountain since all that changed was the music. Definitely wouldn’t call it a failure.

I remember both overlays at the time. There wasn't that much difference with Rockin' California Screaming (aside from a new song) But Rockin' Space Mountain was interesting. I probably wouldn't want the lighting rigs back from the Rockin' overlay as that defeats the purpose of disguising the track. But if there were any more overlays I would wnat for Space Mountain at Disneyland, I would probably want one themed to the old Adventures Thru Inner Space (with a rock arrangement of Miracles from Monocules playing as the on-board ost.)

Rockin Space Mountain is by far my favorite version of the attraction. This video was terrible and clearly one sided. Don't make a review if you haven't experienced an attraction for yourself. Don't rely on just one person's opinion. Higher Ground is a great song and as much as I like the standard version it's nice to change things up

I was fortunate enough to be able to experience both of these attraction overlays and I thoroughly enjoyed them. It was especially fun on space mountain, but even on California Screamin, it was really refreshing and a nice change of pace from the usual soundtrack. In fact, I would have preferred if they could have continued switching soundtracks occasionally just to keep things fresh, instead of going with the Incredibles theme.
