I can’t believe the bugs life erasure. First the park, now the hotel. 😭 This hotel looks so cool. Just proof that a hotel can be both clean and new feeling AND well-themed. I hope they see success from this hotel and stop taking the Disney out of their other hotels.
Great video! Love the attention to detail! Unfortunately my knowledge of Pixar begins and ends with the first two Toy Story movies and A Bug's Life. Also, I'm surprised you two have never had pancakes and sausage on a stick. I feel like those have been around forever. I used to eat them in elementary school! ☺️

Is the greatest gift this channel has given to Kitra the ability to get unsolicited character butt checks ? 🤔😂🥰 While it’s been topped by later films, hands down my most memorable Pixar experience was going to the theatre to see A Bugs Life & being completely caught off guard by the outtakes during the credits. I nearly died from ruptured organs of some form or other. Immediately made me a Pixar fan for life.
I wish that Disneyland had a bus shuttle to the main gate of Disneyland from the Pixar Hotel. It’s a really long walk from The Pixar Hotel to the main gate.
Hey if you ever decide to vist Charleston go check out the College of Charleston Campus and Keep a look out for Clyde her is the College of Charleston Mascot and he is one of the cutest mascotts and very interactive with tourists .

The hotel is lovely and colourful; I`ve seen a few videos of updated hotel rooms (mostly in Orlando) that are pretty bland and missing the disney magic (strictly my opinion) so it`s great to see a vibrant well appointed room. The restaurant seems pretty overpriced, for what it is.
I’m not really sure why, but that hotel sort of gives off hospital vibes, like if it weren’t for the obvious Pixar items and details placed around, it would feel like a children’s hospital in a big city.
This was a surprisingly calming video. Appreciate the honest perspectives on culinary options, and the Joe performance was well worth it. Not sure if this is worth $500 per night, but the special entrance piqued my interest.
We stayed at the Grand California in Jan & saw them put the finishing touches on this hotel. It looks like they did a fabulous job. Have fun on ur trip & Happy Birthday! 🎉
My daughter and I are doing out first Disneyland trip this June and decided to book at Pixar Place! We're doing a coast-to-coast trip so starting at Coronado Springs Club level at WDW then hopping a plane over to Disneyland. Excited for our first trip and for the Pixar Fest!!

They said it on their last live. It’s merch for someone but I can’t remember who. She says it a few times because a lot of people were asking. You can go back through and find it. But they also might answer you too, they’re really good and replying to comments.
Kitra you nailed it: they NAILED this place, but admittedly the bar was pretty low. We stayed here once at Paradise Pier during the renovation and it was the closest I’ve come to demanding my money back for such a poor hotel: it was awful for any hotel, but SO bad for a Disney property. Glad to see they really paid attention and did a good job.
...Did I catch Joe playing the Charlie Brown theme? Careful, Joe! Last I checked, the theme park rights to the Peanuts belong to Cedar Fair... you don't want to tangle with Knotts!

This is so cool! I found your channel because of Shane Dawson, and its super cool to see all this! Im disabled from chronic conditions, and they flare up when i travel, so im not able to do a lot of traveling. I went to Disney World a few times, and i went on a Disney Cruise, but ive never been to any other parks or anything, so im gonna live vicariously through yall😂 Thanks for sharing these fun experiences! ❤
Years ago, we stayed at the Pixar Pier (don't remember its former name). It was cold but our daughters insisted on going swimming. I'm sitting out there in my coat and they were swimming. What is it with kids, they have to go to the pool.
Yikes that sucks about the doughnuts, not worth price. I'm with you where I hate waste but bad food is not worth eating. Hopefully they took the hint why you didn't eat them. I wear dark clothing because no matter what I do napkin, bib or not I end up wearing something somewhere no matter how hard I try to keep myself clean.
Love seeing this in depth & so much details! I’m assuming that you had to buy park ticeket still right? Ps I have never seen that sweater before kitra! Is it a nod to obi wan & anakin as well as in and out fast food chain?
We have Disneyland magic keys so yes the tickets into the park are not included unfortunately. The sweater is made by our friend Carly King and yes it’s a combo of both!
I haven’t finished the video yet but this place looks so amazing now! We stayed at the Pier many many times because we lived the service and the price was always better than the other two on site hotels. I’m so excited to stay here again and enjoy all the new touches.
10:17 looks to be who ever painted that painted a new coat over the old, problem with that is by not sanding the previous layer there isn’t much of a bond for the paint to attach to. So what happens is the humidity will make the newest layer detach quickly and is likely what happened here.
We’ve had the donuts before in Pasadena and they were pretty good. But the two times we’ve ate at the Anaheim location half the items have been disappointing

They’ve managed to transform what was a VERY TIRED-LOOKING excuse for a “Disney Hotel” into a really nice place! I mean, at its core, this place started out as a very Blah ordinary late-80’s era Wyndham (which is what I think it originally was built as…) but they’ve managed to transcend that Blah-ness!
This hotel looks so nice I hope you had a good time. Oh also Jimmy Dean has been selling pancakes with sausages since 2006. Lol I know it won't be as good as the restaurant but if you should want some more.
Favourite Pixar movie (so far) is Luca! That film just speaks to me and would have loved if that movie was around during my coming-of-age. Also pretty sure everyone of those in the pool are Canadian. Your winters are still balmy and tropical in comparison to our current temperatures. Also Big Hero Six isn't Pixar so technically San Fransokyo isn't part of the Pixar "takeover" of DCA.
Hello! I'm glad that you guys didn't rave about Great Maple. Everyone is always saying how great the food is -- and it just doesn't look very good to me. Plus its super expensive!
San Fransokyo is from big hero 6, which is definitely not a Pixar film. It was originally a marvel book though, so it could be said that marvel has taken over more of the park than Pixar at this point. I miss bugs land. Now I have a toddler so I actually would’ve had a reason to be there 😝
