DL trivia: I worked for a company that produced the ride control system for Splash Mountain. DL provided us with desks in the basement of Bear Band, which is what they called the building housing the Jamboree attraction. The music could be heard in the basement, of course. I remember writing programming while listening to the Country Bear music twenty or thirty times each day, over and over and over while working there for a few months.
I saw this grrreat attraction when I was a School-Age student who just finished kindergarten with my parents. Those were the days back when Disneyland was different. 😢 The world was also a different place for everyone to live in all together in harmony. It's so sad that The Country Bear Jamboree got replaced as The Many Adventures of Winnie The Pooh which is our family friend's favorite ride.
+Lizzy The Geeky Wonder Yes, it does. If you did not know after you pass the heffalumps and woozles section of the ride. Immediately turn around and look up high behind you and you will see the CBJ animal heads from the far left wall up there looking down at you.
+Lizzy The Geeky Wonder In my video ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-Q3Kyh0YJmOo.htmlm10s look up high and behind you they are up there in the dark looking down.
Jasmine L. H. Myers they are still at disney world, and let me tell you I absolutely LOVED IT!!!! The animatronic movements and dialogue feels a lot more smooth, I don't see why people hate the changes, the show is still great!
The Country Bear Jamboree closed at Disneyland because there was low attendance often even on very busy days and that is according to some Disney executives.
I know Vacation Hoedown isn't a fan favorite (to some it might be), but for me this version has a special place in my heart, because I saw Disneyland when I was three. All I remember is loving the show and a raccoon dancing on a bear's head. Years later I got interested in the Country Bear Jamboree so I started watching all 3 versions. When I came across Vacation Hoedown, the ending when the Raccoon is tap dancing on Henry's hat sparked the only memory I had of this show. This gave me such a deep appreciation for the bears, and I envy the people who are able to see it in Florida and who saw the Christmas and original version at Disneyland. Bottom line if it wasn't for all the amazing people putting up videos of The Country Bear Jamboree, I would've never known that this was the version I saw before it closed down at Disneyland, and who knows how strong my appreciation for CB would be. Thank you FireByNight.
Country Bears are still playing in Disney World Magic Kingdom. In Disneyland, on The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh, if you look up towards the ceiling and back behind you shortly after the Ephelumps and Woozels scene, you see the moose, dear, and buffalo heads from Country Bears.
LauraIsPink Florida also ran this version from May '86-November '91 it alternated with the Christmaas show. in February '92 they brought the Original show back, (although after what Florida did to the Original show during the 2012 refurb, I would LOVE to see THIS version come back.
William Spendlove thanks for +ing my comments. we must be a rare breed of people who think Vacation is better than the Original. I shudder to think of how Vacation would look if it got edited llike the Original did 2.5 years ago in Florida. iI DO know that if Vacation was ever brought back to the states in an edited form , i have a HUNCH they'd follow Tokyo's lead and edit California Bears. Here's something you may not know, in Tokyo the song Terrence & Delores sing was originally written for our version.
Danny Eyheralde I've only been to CBJ once, I need to never have time to go in when I go to Disney World even though I live here. I went after the 2012 refurbishment I believe, could you tell me what was different about the one before and the one they have now, or at least let me know if there's video of the old one?
I remember a long time ago reading they were planning to replace this with Winnie-the-Pooh. I was upset, but then forgot about it. Now that I'm thinking of going back to Disneyland after 20 years I looked to see if they did replace it and found out they did. Ugh. And now they want to replace the Rivers of America with Star Wars? And tickets cost over $100? I think I might go to Knott's Berry Farm instead.
They aren't replacing Rivers of America with Star Wars they're just closing down some of the attractions around the area where Star Wars land will be, however some rides will be permanently closed.
