42:39 I think you might be misunderstanding the article here. The screenshot in your vid seems to be referring to the "Battle for Angel Island" arc in the Sonic IDW comics, which takes place after the events of Forces. In it, Metal Sonic was upgraded to Neo during the war, but the process took longer than expected and he finished his upgrade too late. This explains why he was absent during the war and why Infinite had to create a phantom copy of him. Once the war was over, Neo stormed the unguarded Angel Island and secured the Master Emerald. When Sonic and Co. went to stop him, Neo used the Master Emerald to transform further, turning him into *Super* Neo Metal Sonic (basically Neo Metal but golden). He later reabsorbed Sonic and Shadow's bio data, and then used them and the Master Emerald to become Master Overlord (think Metal Overload just with the Master Emerald as a power source.) If you're interested and haven't checked out the IDW comics you totally should, they're a great read and basically the only source of good Sonic storytelling at the moment. So technically Charii does have a point here, as it's never explicitly stated how Metal became Neo in the first place. However, its generally inferred and accepted that Eggman upgraded him to fight Sonic, but he became too powerful and ended up betraying Eggman instead, causing the events of Heroes. So even though it was still a pretty silly sin, Charii did have a point, as if Metal did actually use the Master Emerald in Heroes, it really should have been explained or shown, as Angel Island and the Master Emerald are important parts of the sonic lore and it would've been a pretty important event. Either way, an explanation of how Metal became Neo Metal should've been present in the game or the manual, as the whole story kinda hinges on it. Sorry for the wall of text, I really did enjoy your vid and just wanted to clear up some confusion here.

"Why are you sinning that _now?"_ Amy's Tornado Hammer is the most broken move as far as these Team Battles are concerned, so it makes sense to wait until one of her fights to bring it up for maximum effect... and the fight against Sonic was rather sin-heavy already.

True fact here: A year ago I wanted to do the entire Adventure Trilogy as my kickstarter to the Charriii5 EWWs but I didn’t have enough time for it. However Heroes was the most difficult video to construct and I’m quite glad you made your video here. Now just do Adventure 1 and the whole series is complete

I really like these videos. "Sonic Heroes is a bit of a mixed bag for the Sonic fanbase. Some people love it, some hate it, and others think it’s a bit of both. Personally, I’m of the love it crowd. I just had a blast playing through it, even though I did get burnt out after a while and getting the Emeralds was a pain. As for Charriii’s video, I remember watching this one quite a lot before I discovered Th3Birdman. I remember thinking it was the funniest thing I watched, and after a rewatch with a much different mindset, it’s alright. Aside from the whole “Is Shadow real or an android?” debacle, there wasn’t anything that particularly annoyed me, and there was a few things he got right. But it’s still got issues." 🤓

Anyway, Sonic Heroes is one of those games I just never have the motivation to replay it unlike SA1 and 2. Though I want to say its because I've only played the PS2 version of the game, which is a bit jankier compared to the GameCube version. That, and the special stages suck, but that goes for every version of the game. Funnily enough, when I first got the game, I actually played as Team Dark first since Shadow was a member and he was my favorite character back then. Had no idea that meant I'd be playing the "hardest" difficulty right out of the gate. Whoops.

Here's a sin both u and Charriii actually missed also: When the teams show all the chaos emeralds, there's only six at first before it goes back to eggman, then suddenly Sonic has the seventh out of nowhere even though we didn't see the blue one before. And before u say charmy has it, it's sky blue, not deep blue.

Even without the manual, you can easily make the assumption that Eggman locked Omega in that room to guard Shadow. To Eggman it would be an important job, to Omega it would be a waste of his potential. Also just wanna point out it's not thanks to Shadow's game that people think he's an edgelord, it's thanks to people taking his game at face value and not actually looking at it themselves, just looking at the coverart, the first level and "funny" RU-vidrs' takes on it. If you take the dark paths in that game then yeah, he becomes a villain who hates humanity. If you take the hero path though he stays in-tune with his SA2 and Heroes personality, which is also the personality he's given in the canon Last Story, where he's disgusted by Black Doom's plan and regrets the part he inadvertantly played in it. And on the "why Rouge doesn't just tell Shadow about SA2" thing, I hate how popular this sentiment is - Rouge barely KNOWS Shadow by this point. She knows him probably better than anyone else in the series (that's alive), sure, but she still barely knows him because their relationship is SA2 was purely false accomplices. Shadow kept to himself and Rouge was unable to find any information on Shadow himself, only on the Biolizard. All she can tell him is that they were enemies and then he helped save the world, which given the dialogue at the end of this game, she likely does off-screen. She can't tell him anything else though, certainly not why he was in that stasis pod or anything about his life 50 years ago. Same goes for the other characters - Sonic and Amy had moments with Shadow but never learned anything about him, Tails and Knuckles barely interacted with him at all (in fact Tails and Shadow never even shared a moment of screentime together). Eggman might know more due to having Gerald's diary, but he's Eggman. And just on a final note, THANK YOU for pointing out that Metal scanning Shadow's biodata is a clue that he's the real Shadow. Another thing I hate seeing is the idea that the only indication this Shadow is the real on is one obscure line at the end of his game. Both Heroes and Shadow are filled with clues that imply or flat-out confirm this is the real Shadow, you don't NEED confirmation, it's simply there as some extra dialogue if you wait long enough. Other clues in Heroes include Shadow reacting to the word space and being able to use Chaos Control.

I was honestly shocked Amy said that in a Sonic game (since in my experience, I have played the game MOSTLY blind as I thought Team Rose’s story was the only thing I would unironically enjoy about this game). The game would probably be rated E10+ if the game came out today or a year later (more likely cause Rouge herself and Omega shooting his bullets at Dark’s intro). He was counting gameplay dialogue too! He was probably lucky he heard another dialogue instead that replaces it where Cream says something else entirely. “This is lucky!” Also again about the comment Vector made, there might be a slim chance he knows about the E10+ rating, but even then, that rating never existed until 2005. A T would probably what he was referring to (which is still dumb).

I think you forgot something. The part where they sin Super Knuckles' transformation being only Knuckles with a shield. Yup, you heard me right. Super Knuckles, not Super Tails. Wanna know why? Back on Sonic 3 (Of course, *how else are we gonna make the rant* about this?), Tails cannot go super, at least not without the Super Emeralds, which hasn't made another appearance in the Sonic franchise. So, if they went with the pink Super Knuckles, the Super Team Sonic formation won't fit since that means, there were only 2 characters at the time that properly went super. So, they had to limit the super powers so that only male hedgehogs could properly transform. SEGA did the right thing for a mistake they've done in the past (Not making Tails able to go super).

Honestly, This basically is Sonic Adventure 3 sure it's not called that but it has Ryan Drummond, Scott, David and the entire adventure voice cast. And the inclusion of Metal Sonic wanting his revange since CD like how Adventure 1 is a continuation of the classic games even with "Knuckles don't tell me you let Eggman trick you again" and adding all of that in. This game technically is Sonic Adventure 3 even though it has a different formula it has the adventure voice cast. Sonic Adventure 3 probably won't happen but we have this game, As close as we'll ever get.

The Bringas brothers did great voicing Tails in the Sonic Adventure series. The problem is they can't do it anymore since by that time they aged out through puberty. After William Corkery, Sega stopped casting child actors and stuck to bringing in voice actresses to voice Tails, starting from Amy Palant all the way to Colleen Shawneesey, Tails's current VA as of Sonic Frontiers.
