It is so cool to have you acknowledge the effort.There was so much editing in this video. 99.9% of it was done with one Gopro camera. Just the short bike ride took hours to capture. It was 3 separate rides in order to film one clip. 1st, a chest mount, then back to the camper to switch over to a tripod hand held, then back to the camper to get the drone. Filming the cooking portions, I probably look like a chicken with its head cut off, running around trying g to capture all the different angles. I had around 30 hours into editing on this one. Working a full-time job, plus having a weekly travel channel, can be a struggle. I'm glad you recognize the effort.

@@KennyOfAllTrades 100% get it, brother! I’m mostly just using my phone to film so I get it. The back and forth is insane. Seriously well done!

It is awesome that you also enjoy going solo. I've had a few people voice concerns with not taking their partners. But once a person sees how relaxing not having to entertain another person who doesn't love the outdoors as much as they do, they realize how much more enjoyable solo camping and road tripping can be. And don't get me wrong, I love taking my girlfriend out when she is able to tag along. And she also enjoys the travels. But there's something about being completely alone in the middle of nowhere, no conversations, no distractions, that is what makes me happy. I don't think I'd be willing to do that long-term. But escaping civilization on the weekends keeps me sane. I'm sure after 3 or 4 months of isolation, I'd be ready to go back home......maybe...

The Vaseline for animal ears is a great tip!

The different landscape in the state is really beautiful. We have rolling prairies in the southwest, beautiful bluff country in the southeast. The Norteast reminds me of the Pacific Northwest. Central to north central Minnesota is thick with forests and lakes (like in this video), and the north western part of the state was one covered by a sea. It's now farming country with really rich soil. The one thing we are missing is mountains. We do have a range called the Sawtooth mountains. But they are big hills....nothing like out west.

It's easy to get sucked into the craziness. Sometimes, we just need a break . The truck camper has helped me find a balance.

Thanks! I appreciate you recognizing that everyone can enjoy this beautiful land in their own way. Each week, I get a handful of comments telling me to stop saying that I'm camping. The number of times people have said, " Why don't you just stay home and sit on the couch, that is basically what you are doing in the camper?" Blows my mind! For two years, i have spent my weekends recording an adventure. It doesn't matter if it's 40 below zero or 110 degrees outside. I'm in the camper, sharing my two days off work. Us outdoor lovers have lost what is important. Our public lands are being shut down every month because of irresponsible people. Yet some dude, every week, wants to tell me I'm doing it wrong because I'm not lying on the ground. I don't care if you are camping in a 5th wheel, sleeping in a hammock between two trees, or laying out under the stars. I think everyone should be able to enjoy mother nature. Take pride in being a good steward of the land. Instead, some people want to argue that their way is the only way.

Just came home from a week long trip in the Shenandoah mountains and hiked every day on just beautiful trails. Have four more trips planned this summer and can’t wait. I don't understand that but it is just a fact and the best way to handle it is just to keep on keeping on and enjoy life and not let their " holier than thou " attitude spoil your joy !
