Luna's voice is nice but In the Philippines Luna's voice is just ordinary that you will hear from most people singing in the Philippines

I think the host was triggered when Luna said if David could hear her sing maybe she will have a chance too. That’s kind of disrespectful to Charice. So the host initiated a contest to let Luna know that Charice is built different.

Charice's vocal range is impeccable. When she sings even in high notes, you can hear that she's not shouting. There's still space or another extent to her voice.
