I love how raw it all sounds, as if this was a fuck-this-first-take-is-the-best-take kind of thing. It has a ton of nervous energy. But it's clearly been well-rehearsed. The rhythm guitar and bass lock in with each other to create the aural equivalent of a battering ram, and the drummer is so tight and in the groove, he could likely play this stuff in his sleep. Meanwhile, dig how the bassist handles the backing vocals, much like Jason did in his heyday. Gotta love his epic headbanging and hair-twirling. This dude could moonlight in a death metal band and no one would bat an eyelash. Meanwhile, the vocalist has a throat of gravel and sand, but it fits the tone and tenor of the track. Also, with his bald head and bulging muscles, he's fucking gorgeous. HOWEVER, the lead player...for some parts of his bit, he sounded a bit as if he was playing in a different key. Some of it sounded...off. I don't know. All in all though, his playing was pretty good, and way better than I could have done. Cheers to you guys.

I just wrote this on my Facebook wall , tagged you guys in the post. "OK so was checking out the promo for MUTANK, winners of the 2014 Waken Metal Battle Canada. Upon checking out their You Tube videos I came across this gem of a cover they have done of Metallica's "Disposable Hero's" (feat. Drummer of VENOMENON), yes I know a lot of bands cover Metallica now. But that is the more recent basic style of Heavy Metal , this is from "Master of Puppets" still one of the best Heavy Metal albums of all time, not only that the overall length of the song and the tightness in which they play this cover and keeping it all in check. But the clear love and respect they have for the song to learn it so fluidly and the pace is all over the place. Only complaints are the drummer should have been placed on a riser to see him better and the mic audio is low but then gives it that garage sound which is where so many bands make their start. Trust me I have tried this song on the drums it's not an easy one by an means.
