Ratropolis combines roguelite, deck building, and tower defense with real time strategy gameplay. Lead your small rat outpost to safety and defend your rat citizens from predators and monstrous creatures. Build the largest 'Ratropolis!' and etch your name into rat history!
Choose from over 500 cards of economy, building, military, and skill types to execute your strategic command. All leaders begin their journey with a deck of 8 basic cards. Building an efficient deck is key for protecting your rats from waves of rat-thirsty enemies. Add, remove and upgrade your cards to create a deck worthy of a true leader!
Defending your rats in the city will be a challenge. Get aid from advisers with talents in finance, defense, or leadership. They will provide you with better options when chaos arises. When the city falls your campaign will end, but with every end a new beginning is born. Unlock new cards to expand your options and make each defense a new experience.
Now lead Ratropolis to victory and save your Ratizens from destruction!

I like how stacking 4 upgraded Caravan master basically extends the service time to infinity, as they give +20 total every 20 seconds

You know, thinking about it, it feels vaguely sinister that you are doing the best you can in order to extend their service time into the indefinite future..... In game mechanics it makes perfect sense, you don't want your army disappearing, but in story you are boozing up (and whatever the caravan masters do) your soldiers so they don't have to think that they are never actually going to get off duty...

Dude. Caravan master means they are carrying supplies. Like food, and new tents to patch/replace/fix your old leaky tent. And food, plus water. New supplies of clean clothes and food. Arrows enough to blot the enemy from existence, don't worry about running out of arrows or food! They also provide the soldier food. Man, why WOULD I want to quit the guard with that kind of support compared to what the rats in the city deal with? It's a common real life tactic. See North Korea, and half of all history for the tactic of keeping the army happy.

Well played. Maxed out on nearly everything. Those Wave Delays (Clown Advisor, Public Bathhouse etc) gave you nearly endless time to go infinite and max out goal, ratizens, and troops.

Game has become easier than when it was still early access. The military cards are now much stronger and no longer squishy like before.

For the longest time I didn't realize that upgrading a card/building before placing it, or using expansion after placing the building did the same thing. Both just level it up to level 2. Upgrade the card before and you won't need/can't use expansion. Got a way to get lots of expansion cards, no need to focus on upgrading your building cards before placing them.

This is amazing! It's Kingdom + Dominion, two incredible games on their own. I love tiny cycle decks, can't wait to play this. Upgrade your walls before placing them, you have three smithys gdi! :D

Thanks for letting me know they were out of beta ... bought the game today. 18:40 That first one seems sus ... I don't trust that "leader" ... your defenses would suffer ... second one looks pretty damned good ... 18:48 I hope that decision isn't costly. 34:32 You want that territory expansion!! Get that apartment out of your hand ... you've been cycling it for lack of space for dozens of turns now. || 35:13 Good decision, YEAH!! Gold Tower is insane with your build, if you can get one on each side of your city ... you've basically got infinite gold, so the towers completely demolish all the waves.

Cheese costs 40 to use. If used. It only pays based on how many Cheese cards you have left, not the one you just played, so playing one when you only have on other means you get payed 30.

BTW: You should have put the Squire as far as away from combat as possible (the furthest wall from front line ). Until they have matured into The Royal Guard unit, they are rather useless in combat.

10 minutes into the vide: Did they remove the ability to preview what each rewards options gave you after winning a wave in the release version? I remember that the pre -release version that you can check for that thus making the optimal choice 3 about what rewards to get out of the three . I mean why chose upgrade when the one of the new cards happen to be mining?

Uh breed still works you have 200 max rats available at a time the other number is how many are available. Breed and warrens increase your available rats, while houses/apartments increase your capacity.

@@ultravioletcatastrophe That's the thing, I didn't know if people are talking about Kingdom Come, Kingdom Two Crowns, Kingdom Rush, Kingdom, Kingdom Nothing lasts. I know now because Wanderbots was more specific in another video. But simply typing "Kingdom" in steam or google wasn't helpful. I'm also pretty sure I also tried "Kingdom Game", and that for some reason brought up another game. They must have fixed it over the last few days.
