In case you were wondering where the videos were, I was working my way through this epic of a game. The Path of the Legend was more than worth it, and although I need a break from it after my marathon, I really do want to go down some of the other Mythic Paths. More than anything, it made me miss playing TTRPGs so dearly. Been a long time since I beat a CRPG. Hope you enjoyed this ride too.

@@marley7868 You know whats funny? back in the day in D&D lore succubus's could be redeemed, they could either become angels or they could choose a neutral path, which meant they lost the hunger that came with their infernal nature and they could bang people without killing them. There was at least one such succubus who chose to become the owner of like a brothel or something like that, could have been an inn for all I know and was just living a pretty normal life.

@@Nyghtkingyou are referring to Fallen From Grace, a succubus companion of the Nameless One, protaginst in Planescape: Torment game? IIRC she did denounce the wicked ways of the demons, although her motives were more complicated than Aru's, having less to do with pure compassion and m9re with her desire not to be defined by her nature and carnality as a whole. She stayed a succubus and that was one of the reason a romance was tinged with tragedy, since her touch still brought on pain and her kiss was deadly. Before she joined the party, she was the sole proprietor of the Brothel for Slacking Intellectual Thirst which she ran as more of a traditional geisha parlor, selling mentally stimulating company and experiences rather than sex.

I love the balancing in Pathfinder: Bolster/Empower with Magic Missile can do 200 damage at a time when your best new spell does 42 max. It deleted a Plot Balor so fast that the game had to ignore the fact he was dead so the game didn't outright break. Also, for the people worried that Rimmy spoiled what Camellia is like, don't worry: she basically orgasms in the middle of killing enemies, you find her over the corpse of what should have been a major NPC (he's one on tabletop,) and she uses a necklace to hide her alignment despite being in a party with Lawful and Neutral Evil characters, so it's pretty obvious she's nuts from the start.

So it is actually possible to call out the halfling for being a spy, but you have to catch her a second time during the gargoyle air strike. If you confront her about both the suspicious perfume and the fact that you found her holding a molotov cocktail while everything around her was on fire, she'll either run away early or you can turn her back against the demons as a trickster.

I think your Camellia ending slide was bugged. There are reports of ending lsides getting bugged and I've seen a datamined ending lside for Camellia if you romance her. It's not too different though, she basically leaves because she starts getting the urge to kill you and it scares her.

In Pathfinder (1.0 at least) you CAN snatch magic out of the air and throw it back at nerds. You just need magic hands (forgot the name of the feat). But ... yea, it is a thing (you can also grapple ghosts which is pretty hilarious, Not for the GM).

The best thing is that Nocticula actually is the redeemer queen in Pathfinder sourcebooks published after Wrath of the Righteous (2013) so I guess Ember was right.

Not to mention that she only established herself as a demon lord to protect herself and not be exploited by other demons because she was the first Succubi. She became good because being a demon meant that she was a slave to her nature. But by being the redeemer queen she has more freedom. Which is ironic.

I actually read up on pathfinder lore apparently noctulas redeemer queen thing is from pathfinder source and is something she’s been doing for a while. apparently ember is the origin point of the redeemer queen title and may have given her the idea so that’s kinda neat.

Dear GOD that part about archers in armies hits hard. Yes, literally the only troops worth shit. But if you try to autoplay with army of archers, auto-result tells you you lose with total wipeout. I try to play manually, my archers kill the entire enemy army in their first turn.

Total War Warhammer in a nutshell. Same deal with having full artillery team. Auto resolving causes you to lose(???), but when I do it it takes 2 minutes to wipe out my enemies ugly mug.

I think you would enjoy Divinity: Original Sin 2. It’s like Pathfinder, but solely turn based and doesn’t rely nearly as much on rolls. There are still certain chances for effects in and out of combat, but persuasion and dialogue stuff is mostly down to the skill level of the character. Imo it also has better writing and characters than WOTR (though pathfinder’s characters are exceptionally good). Heed my advice: spoiler warning: you must finalize your decision for which characters you want in your party by the end of the first act. Those that are not in your party will die. Cant recommend it enough.

Technically speaking, the rules for deflect arrows in the PF1E rulebook specifically disallows the feat to be used against natural weapon attacks, large projectiles (Such as artillery) and spell attacks. I believe the wording which allows PBS and Precise shot to count while using spells is that ranged spell attacks are made 'as if using a ranged weapon'.

precise shot makes sense for most non aoe ranged spells; however the deflect/catch should work as well *if you have specific gear for it*, something like enchanted gloves of deflection or something to avoid having your hand disintegrate, y'know

In PF2 I believe you can get feats for Deflect Missiles, then progress that to be able to then deflect magic, and finally, reflect it. All as a martial.

Ive been avoiding even the reviews for this game as i didn't want any spoilers for a game ive been hyped about for months. Then i see rimmy uploaded a video on it and i suddenly care about spoilers about as much as Camellia cares about the lower classes.

I realize after a bit that this joke may not be as funny as I thought it was, but jokes aside, that is generally how things got to where they were in Germany in the 1940s. It was a slow process where bit by bit, morals were eroded. It got to the point where ordinary people would participate in terrible atrocities because not going along would force them to admit that they were wrong with their earlier acts of compliance. Sorry for getting political there.

Also, after completing Ember's quests she actually gets a personal spell which forces enemies to stop fighting you and contemplate on their mistakes and shitty decisions :D I think that was a pretty cool touch :)

Personally, Legend is my least favorite of the Mythic paths mechanically. Extreme experience gain and a level 40 cap is cool and all, but the other options feel mechanically better to me. Storywise though, it is quite amusing.

90 hours to 23 minutes. You absolute legend. I'd say knowing that, this is one of your best videos yet! It's genuinely an impressive feat of editing to compress that much time into so little, and have it all make sense and be this entertaining. I hope the sponsorship in addition to whatever the video makes means the 90 hours of game + however long the editing took (another 90 hours on top probably? at minimum?) was worth it, because I really hope you'll do more videos like this one!

8:00 Rimmy, in Pathfinder you can, takes a couple feats and levels in fighter though to deflect spell projectiles. Cut from the air is jedi-level stuff.

Ember is the kind of character who is a Bard with 20 charisma (and only cause you can only have a max of 20, she'd be 30 otherwise) that gets Advantage no matter what, that has a passive aura effect on anyone she is talking to that causes their charisma to go down to 0. Edit: 30 in Pathfinder stats.
