What’s funny to me about all of this people don’t realize that drake could have made more money being independent under ow label OVO sounds and that would have have crush the industry. But when you have an artist that every times he drops he earning you 50 million annually why would you let me go? Drake out preformed his old contract with UMG that’s why in this contract negotiations not allow did he have the leverage by miles but he could definitely dictate what he wanted out the deal which was ownership. RCA is under Sony not umg. Sony and umg are two different labels. Also if this was the case the weeknd is just as big if not bigger than drake he would prolly get the same type of deal or possibly more.
