Agreed. I have nothing against theater and symbolism, but Jon was an incredible musician and vocalist. He didn't need to showboat or boast. And the demos, Storm of the Light's Band, and The Somberlain are most of my favorite albums to come out of the 90s.

@@christopherrobin361 Exactly. I've always said if someone has to excessively bark, it's because they're praying they don't have to bite. Jon is the perfect example of the opposite of this. No talk, just action. Everyone said the same thing when his death came, "I don't get it, he was so positive and happy" - yeah, that didn't change a damn thing about how strongly he felt about his beliefs and his destiny. It was only confusing because he wasn't being a drama-queen about it and getting a build-up going. He quietly did what he felt was meant to be. Jon is arguably the truest and most genuine Satanist to have ever been in the black metal scene.

Can you elaborate as to what you're talking about? Only thing I read was that Jon committed suicide in 2006.

@@TiwazPagan-if3og Sacrificing animals/cats and murder were a couple that come to mind. Hell of a songwriter and guitarist though. Just seems like he lost his marbles a bit. Swedes seem to like to take things to the limit, then beyond, sometimes with fatal results.

His name is Tobias Kjellgren. He played in Decameron (I have their record "My Shadow" on cd). The 2nd guitar player Johan Norman also played in Decameron but is not on that record. Johan is a Dissection member on Storm of the Lights Bane. Tobbe was in Dissection after drummer Ole Öhman joined Deathstars together with Jon's brother Emil. Emil was in a band called Swordmaster. The drums on the 1st Swordmaster record were done by Tobbe Kjellgren. The singer of Swordmaster joined Emil and Ole in Deathstars. But before that, Dissections bassist Peter Palmdahl left the band, Emil Nödtveidt hooked up to do bass duties live. When Dissection was done due to Jon's murder, Tobbe and Johan formed a band called Soulreaper and recorded a record. Jon, Johan and Tobbe/Tobias had a side project in the early 1990s called Satanized, before Tobbe and Johan were in Dissection. They recorded 2 rehearsal tape songs called "Satanized" (Which is also on the Decameron record) and "Born in fire" and these recordings are on Dissection's The Past Is Alive compilation

i think they only put echo cuz it sounds almost identical to the Frozen in Wacken version. So either it is echo or because of the quality of the camera they used it sounds different.

This was just after the murder and before Jon's arrest so with the band breaking up around that time there's nothing I've found about why Peter wasn't here. If was just sitting this one out or quit the band officially like Ole did right after recording Storm of the Light's Bane, who knows. Peter's on Facebook I believe, maybe you could ask him.
